I feel a little uncertain, calling myself a 'newbie' - but I need help (and once upon a time, I *was* a newbie!)

Hi there,

So there is this dilemma I am in, about my relationship to God. I know relationship is important, but if its important, then how you define it is important too, right? So I have this understanding, in my head, that I have my side to the relationship I have with God, and God has His Side. But the way I'm defining it sounds like divorce or a pre-nup or something. Like, I want to improve both sides of the relationship, the same way God does - but does He? Certainly, God thought of the Cross before I did, but at the same time: God established the Cross that who I am would not be destroyed, either. So I am turning to Him, to justify me? Or us? Definitely I confess, what He saved was not perfect.

It feels like God wants a seat at my table, but I am supposed to dress up for Him first. Then I am left wondering "who is this God?" For great stretches of time, He doesn't speak to me; and then when He does (speak to me), I am left to sort of pull the threads together myself - like He knows I will use my intellect and works around it, so that He can keep what's best for us, in clear view. I think that might be it, actually: I have to trust that God has both our interests at heart. I want to cheer Him on in that, but unless I pray for strength or purpose, I'm never going to understand what I am saying?

Anyway, its good to set things out in words, when you are confused. I guess God knows I am confused, already, so I should be thinking more of trust/repenting of not trusting enough. If you are going through something similar, let me know - we need to share one another's burdens, right?

I hope you will find encouragement here.

God bless.

Here is How you can receive more from God.

Give Him all of you.
See, God will save a sinner, with The Cross of Christ..........but after this, He manifests His "riches in Glory" to Christians who put nothing between thenselves and God.

Most Christians are low impact high maintenance theologically confused people, who Hebrews defines as Chaper 6... verse 1.

If you want all of God's Grace as His Favor on you, then give Him all of you., Reader.

I think the spirit of this may be, that whether I am evolved or created, God is always more evolved or created than me?

Man, I have had this exact experience last two weeks. It felt like He had left me. And I went just as silent as He did. I felt so lost the last couple weeks, lost in my faith, not sure anymore what to believe. One morning I was praying before work and felt Him close. For some reason throughout the day I lost faith and it was gone for weeks. Weird.
Finally, today, when I talked to Him about my workday being tough he answered again. Granted me relief, like he had done so often in the past, made the day easier for me by His Grace.
But only after, like you said, “dressed for Him”. I had to keep love for Him and my surroundings and people around me on the forefront of my mind. I think that was the key to come into contact again. Maybe I slacked somewhere in the past, maybe some other reason, but “dressing the table” is key. Showing initiative.

Love all.

Reader,

Find a quiet place where the cell phone and all the bright blinking screens can't demand all your attention.
Designate that place as "me and my Father God".......and go there everyday with your open bible turned to Paul's Epistles.
God will be there everytime you show up., as He's always right there.

I like everything about your advice except for the implied limitation concerning Paul’s Epistles. I would broaden your advice, to include all scripture - the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament; the entirety of the Bible.

Im not offended that someone who isn't a Christian would feel the need to say that "all the bible is good to read".

However, because you are not spirit filled and are not on your way to heaven, then when you try to play the role of Christ's Ambassador, you are going to continue to fail.

So, the reason that all Christians must learn Paul's Epistles, is because this is where the Doctrine for the Body of Christ is LEARNED, and that is why God is going to meet you, when you go to Paul's Letters.
As God wants His beloved, blood bought, redeemed, Saints.... to learn all the "Church Doctrine", and that is where its found, 1st and Foremost.

So, sure, everyone is invited to read the bible........but to Learn what Jesus sent Paul to teach the CHURCH, can't be found in Genesis, or in the Pslams.........you have to go to Paul, as Christ personally picked Him to bring to the Body of Christ.......all the "Church Doctrine" that Christians have to learn, or they will remain powerless, faithless, feckless, confused, and worse.

Another blessing from above.

I can’t wait to see your face when Jesus vindicates me. And he will.

Hi Gott'
Did you get all the answers you needed?
I had a really great meditation session today; it has dawned on me that life is not just "one answer for all situations", but a consistent commitment to "face the question, you are presented with today".

Anyone who has had schizophrenia knows, sensitivity to the truth is a curse one moment and an exceeding blessing the next.

Thanks for being there and giving council as best as you can, guys!
