We are in Rev 20 now. There is multiple Scripture to align the end of Satan's little season with the second coming.
Not a single one. Obviously you would have posted them. Revelation 19 is not the Second Coming. That is a planned battle at the end of a 42 month period of time, that you don't even think is a literal 42 months. Is 3.5 years a little season defined anywhere in Scripture?
Have you ever seen a plant that needs 3.5 years to produce a crop? That would be a long, long, long season, and as yet unheard of in the agricultural community. Even 1260 days comes out close to 3.5 years, not a short season.
I have lived in both Texas and Michigan. Texas can have 3 short seasons in a year. Michigan has one long season each year.
Of course your excuse is that Revelation is highly symbolic and only you understand the symbolism. The symbolism of a season has to do with a harvest of a crop. In this case human souls. Do you have Scripture that points out the 3.5 years of Jesus as Messiah is considered a little season? Or do you even consider that God gives specific time frames for specific reasons? Is it all one big symbolic puzzle to you where any number can mean anything you want it to mean?
Three places that place Satan in a time frame: Revelation 12:12-16
"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that
he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth."
This is when Satan is cast out of heaven. Satan was not just released from the pit in these verses. Satan does not deceive any one, but attempts to destroy the woman.
There is only one reference in Revelation about being bound, and that is in Revelation 20. And you claim that binding was at the Cross. John claims that binding was at Armageddon.
The two other time references: Revelation 20:3 and 7
"And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that
he must be loosed a little season."
For one who condemns Premil they only have one chapter they keep returning to, it is you who has only one chapter for your phrase: "little season".
"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,"
Of course the binding of Satan has in all Scripture been associated with Jesus while on the earth. Satan was bound during the 3.5 years in the first century according to Jesus and the parable of the strong man. Jesus was on the earth at that time. But no verse claims that binding would last millennia while Jesus was not on the earth.
You depart from the point and claim Satan is bound even when Jesus is not on the earth. Not one other view expresses that sentiment. Not even classical amil. All your points are based on the argument Premil is wrong. You are not really defending Amil.
Jesus was 3.5 years on the earth as Messiah. To fulfill the rest of Daniel 9, Jesus is on the earth as Prince for 3.5 years. Was Jesus already declared King while on the earth at some point in the past, and every nation on earth understood that declaration? People still deny the Christ part even after 1994 years.
The Day of the Lord is the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus on the earth. Jesus has to be present physically the same as Jesus was present physically as Messiah. That is how prophecy works. That is God's Word I will continue to defend.
You can keep defending your Day of the Lord and keep trying to prove Daniel 9:24 has been a reality in your Day of the Lord. You don't even need Satan loosed nor deceiving humans. The church has been attacked and martyred consistently for the last 1994 years. Your "little season" has been an ongoing phenomenon since your 70th week ended in the first century.
It could be pointed out that Satan was bound for "a little season", but loosed for "a thousand years" in your totally opposite symbolic scenario. You seem good at making stuff up about Premil. Try a shoe on for the Amil fit?
Your proof text of Satan's binding does not even make the same point as John describes in Revelation 20. The only thing in common is the term "bound". That term as used by Amil means "restricted". Satan was already restricted and had boundaries in the Garden of Eden, and in the book of Job. The serpent did not seem to have the ability to take some of the fruit and slip it into a salad and Adam accidentally ate some without knowing. The serpent had to deceive Eve to get to Adam. The same thing happens after the Day of the Lord. Satan cannot just raise an army. Satan has to deceive a few humans who seem to be able to raise up an army of other humans.
So, Paul does not say death is immediately destroyed at the Second Coming. Paul is saying Jesus will continue to reign as all are made alive, even creation, and the last enemy destroyed is death. The "must reign" part is after the Second Coming and prior to the end. That is even what Daniel pointed out in chapter 9 with the Prince to come. The Prince to come will reign just as the Messiah finished a task while physically on the earth. And the Prince to come part would happen after Jerusalem had been destroyed.
Many reject that Gabriel was stating Jesus was both Messiah and Prince. Or Christ and King in today's terms.
