Looking for friends

Hi everyone. New obviously, but here for a singular purpose - finding likeminded people.

I'll shoot it straight : I'm a conservative Christian who is fed up with the way the world is going and how it's being controlled by elitists (though it's really no surprise I suppose).

The people I talk to now are, A) either on my side from a censorship perspective but denounce Christianity/hate Jews, or B) are Christians but don't feel comfortable talking about the issues that really matter. The former generally ends up pissing me off royally but I try to bite my tongue because I still want to lead them to Christ later, and the latter just stops responding to me thinking I'm a "weirdo". I'm really looking for a friend (if I'm lucky maybe two?) that sees things the way I do.

I've got a very wounded past, I sometimes cuss, and have problems with depression, PTSD, pornography use, and suicidal/homicidal thoughts. (If this sounds like a lot to get into bed with, I understand, but I'm actually a good friend.) I rant a lot about censorship and the way big tech is starting to target Christianity and actual truth. It seems everywhere I go I am censored to death. This drives me insane.

I'm far more tolerant than the people I fight against, but when it comes to abortion, homosexuality, sex changes, etc...there is no grey area.

I'm getting all of this out there so that there are no surprises. I love guns, beer, hard rock music, and deep conversation. I have a dark sense of humor. Nothing offends me!! ...except for jew hate and making fun of God/Jesus...then I'll gladly tell you how hot hell is, and make you feel awful for going there when you die. I'm finding that people like me are becoming exceedingly rare, and so I'm reaching out because maybe you're like me too and are not sure if there's anyone out there like you.

I knew he was a leftist. They always start trouble and hurt Christians.

That's my aim is to meet people, but satan gets in the way. It's a shame.

My advice is to develop a thick skin if you wanna stick around on the Christian forums; any of them. There are a lot of good people, even though you may not agree with them on everything. But you will have to learn to be tolerant, as much as is in you anyway. Quiet has some good qualities just like a lot of people here do, but you eventually learn what to expect from each person on matters of politics, eschatology, soteriology, hermeneutics, etc.

Just settle in, and don't wear your heart in your sleeve. Put on some armor and expect to encounter a little brushback on a continual basis, and you will be fine.

Not a matter of what should be. Most here would agree with you on this, but the fact is that everywhere you go you will encounter disagreement at the very least, and downright hostility at the worst. The well as you say is continually under threat of being poisoned, and not just by Christians or Christians so-called, but by atheists and Gnostics and unbelievers who join here as well. The primary thing to worry about is not letting yourself get poisoned.

Is what it is. If there were a solution it would have been found by now.

Regardless of what Quiet thinks he is, he is NOT a Christian.

Good luck, my friend, but I've been around awhile now, and judging by your posts, you may be only happy at a place that tolerates very very little in the way of opposing views or opinions. Those places are usually deader than a doornail.

Politics reflect the way we view the world. The way we view the world can easily be reduced down to what our core beliefs are.

Conservatives = man is flawed, the world is flawed, results are what counts
Leftists = man is good/god, utopia is possible, intentions are what counts

This also has everything to do with his character. By gliding under the radar and making jabs at me within the guidelines of the message board rules tells me he is skilled in this sort of thing, attacking Christians and hurting the ones who are vulnerable through infiltration of the mind and emotions. This has everything to do with hell and nothing to do with heaven.

We are called to identify the tactics of the enemy. I have done so.

It doesn't offend me, thanks for telling me like it is. As we go darker into the night before His return, our tolerances must be tightened. Evil shall not be allowed to prosper, and the Christian should guard his or her heart from the likeness thereof.
