Disagree- with back-information considered.

God IS All knowing.
He knows us Before we are Born.
There is nothing new under the sun.
Many are called, Few are chosen.

In perspective-
Man is Not all knowing.
Man makes his own Freewill elections.
(God already knows a man's Election)

Men are individually in all categories...
...believe, convert
...hear, doubt, wants, continues
...hear, doubts, Foolishness to him, rejects
...hears, accepted other notions, stands/ preaches against God.
(God Knows All Things)

Man learns along the way of the direction he chooses for himself.

It is the direction a man Freely chooses...
••That God intervenes...
•Giving Measures of Gods Gift of Faith---•Withholding Measures of Gods Gift of Faith--

•Men Freely choose their Direction-
•God is Just
•God oversees that Every man receives success in his own Freewill Election.

IMO-
A man's "Spiritual" Freewill is exercised BEFORE Conversion.

Conversion- "IS" A man Exercising his Freewill to Surrender and Freely Give God Authority Over the man's "Spiritual" Life.

That my friend was an interesting train of thought.. :D
I had to ride that train a couple times to reach the destination, but I did arrive..o_O
The last 2 sentences was an easy ride.. so much less bumpy than the interconnecting stops.

A Beginning is simply information -
And no doubt - we are half listening,
Because we are programmed with curiosity, and the minute we hear something unbelievable, we stop listening and begin trying to Logically, (mindfully) figure a way that unbelievable thing could fathomably be possible!

^ That is what we do in our Earthly existence.
( And BTW- women / broadly are better at listening, than men. Men hear until they get sidetracked and begin ciphering a solution....and a week later, a woman will bring up the topic...and the man...will say he has no clue what she talking about! Ha)

But back to the Spiritual Turning point...
Probably the greatest and hardest single thing a person can Choose to believe---to completely set his Life in a new direction ... IS;
• Choosing to Trust All Scripture IS True.

With ^ That accomplished; is when the Listener begins to really hear...and the whole perspective of that individual changes.
That is when obsticals/ hurdles/ "mountains begin to move" out of ones way.

Anyway, my experience.

Glory to God,
Taken

Faith and Salvation come from the Lord.

Ephesians 2:8. Faith alone means apart from works , not grace. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

Philippians 1:29- "For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake."

John 1:13- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

Salvation is of the Lord. Its all His doing by His grace, even being granted by God the ability to believe. Our human decision to come to Christ comes from God, not by human decision but born of God.

God saves us and keeps us saved.

Jude 1:24-25
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Philippians 1:6-
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.NLT

1 Corinthians 1:8
He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:27, "John answered and said, 'A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven.'"

John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day."

John 6:65, "And He was saying, ‘For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father

Ephesians 2:4:5
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions

Colossians 2:13
When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses,

hope this helps !!!

Hi Christophany,
"Coming to Christ can only happen when He draws us and enables us to come, its impossible to come by our free will since we are slaves of sin, in bondage to sin, and sin is our master."

And...He DID draw all men unto Himself! :)
"And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
John 12:32

"So IMHO free will does not exist until after we are born again then we have the capability to choose to sin or choose to obey God."

We certainly need free will to respond to the Gospel. And, we can't be born again until we do hear the Gospel and then respond in acceptance or rejection. JMO brother.

It seems God gave Cain a chance to make the right decision, a warning really! As He does throughout His Word so, it just seems reasonable that God gave warnings and man either heed them by making correct choices or he doesn't.
Be blessed!

You are so right, but it appears @Christophany won't respond to your knowledge of the Scriptures. Hmmmm.

what freedom does a slave have ?

can they choose to not be a slave ?

do they have any control over being a slave sold into slavery ?

Answer the scriptures she gave. They prove Christ calls ALL men to Himself. So how could He just die for a few, when it is not God's will that any should perish? Calvinism perverts the heart of God. A Berean would know that.

Freewill and free choice.

Does God possess these?
Is freewill and free choice a characteristic of God?
Will God make the wrong choice?
Will God go against His will?

Does man have freewill and free choice?
Do we possess these?
Is freewill and free choice a charchterisc of man?
Does man ever act against his will?

Are we pre-destined to be like God?
Can we alter that destiny?

Did God know you before you were born?
Does He know you now?
Is it possible for God not to know you?
Is there a way to know God?

Is that a choice?
Is that Freewill?

thinking..

@CharismaticLady

Answer the ones I gave you and quit making excuses. I asked you the questions. And Nancy and I are just fine so there is no need for you to chime in on our conversation.

Faith and Salvation come from the Lord.
God saves us and keeps us saved.

OF course. Not in Question or Dispute.

So IMHO free will does not exist until after we are born again then we have the capability to choose to sin or choose to obey God.

Disagree.

While a man is dead in his sins, the man exercises his Freewill to Choose The Lord God and Submit to the Lord God (NOT Forced).

•AFTER the man Exercises his FREEWILL Heartful confession OF Belief....

•THEN the man Receives the Lord Gods Gifts of Faith-FULLNESS and SALVATION.

Hope that helps!!!!

@CharismaticLady disappeared............................

you have some questions above that you have ignored...........................

Actually I've been sick for a couple days. Thought I might have caught Covid at the hospital a couple weeks ago when I had a stint put in my heart, and it was causing symptoms. Took 3 Zinc tablets and it seems to be better.

I am not looking at relationships, and if ignoring Nancy and not responding to her verses seems to be fine with you, then you are not a Berean and if the Bible is not our mutual foundation, but you choose human reasonings that are flawed, then we can't help you see the light. You've chosen the doctrines Jesus calls "dead."

“I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
