Hi everyone,

I was just wondering what genre of music that some of you folks like to listen to...so I've created a poll.

I listen to tupac and some other artists.. I voted other.

I listen to Worship music often (Tomlin, Hillsong, etc- my local bands)

I also listen to a good bit of contemporary Christian (Brandon Heath, etc).

A little secular but not much. Worship is my favorite though.

Hi TexUs! Love worship music also. Chris Tomlin is awesome. He played just recently [end of January] at the Parachute festival here in NZ.

It is an annual 3 day Christian music festival which includes individual artists/ Bands and guest speakers from around the world. If you ever decide to come out this way....check it out! It is awesome!

I was just wondering what genre of music that some of you folks like to listen to...so I've created a poll.

For me, it mostly depends why I'm listening.

Just to be listening to music, I like a little bit of everything, including country, opera, and rap.

For worship, I prefer slower more serene music and a lot of the old hymns.

Driving in the car, I always preferred classical music.

Cindy Ratcliff (Lakewood), Charles Billingsley (Thomas Road Baptist Church), and Darlene Zsesch (Hillsong) are among my favorite worship leaders.

I do not know Charles Billingsley but I'm sure that he must be good. Is he a worship leader?

Lakewood singers/musicians are awesome!

I can listen to a wide variety of music. Tend to stay away from rap and country, but like everything from classical music to jazz to heavy metal. I grew an appreciation for classical and jazz/blues/swing when I went to college for music. Overall, I prefer to listen to hard rock and metal. I don't know, ever since I was a little kid, I liked metal and rock music. My stepfather (at the time) listened to Metallica and Black Sabbath and I always enjoyed listening to that style. He and I both now mainly listen to Christian rock and metal, but for some reason, I just like that heavy stuff

I would think so. He is just a lot more unconventional than Chopin. lol

I like Claude Debussy. Out of all the time periods, Impressionism always impressed me with their impressions. :lol: I do like Chopin, Grieg, and Rameau as well.


For my senior recital in college, I played Handel on the bass guitar.

Claude Debussy. Do you have a favourite piece of work that you like?

My favourite classical piece ever is by Pachebel and I love the Canon played specifically by the Violin. My second favourite is Humouresque by Dvorak.

I have an ecletic taste in music but my own training is Classic and Opera.
