To the OP, since Paul is the writer of the chapter in question,(Romans 8:) did Paul love Christ or was he seeking Christ prior to being slapped off his horse?

This happens because @Enoch111 and @CoreIssue have thought in their minds what they think the Gospel is, what they think happened, then they read these ideas into Scripture. In other words, they've made up their own gospel and wrest Scripture out of context to support it.

When presented with God in all his glory, and the true Gospel, they are offended.

Take note all: They fight against giving God all the glory, are opposed to it, and their gospel is always pointing to self and their ability. This is the force of all their postings. Note John 6:44; John 1:13; 2 Peter 1:1; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; John 6:29; John 6:63; John 6:65.

If their gospel had to live outside of themselves, it would die, as they are its only source of existence. It is not found in the pages of Scripture and is parasitic in nature.

Yes, it looks like you have this pegged from start to finish. Sadly they settle for wrong ideas, and false teaching, to oppose themselves by remaining in rebellion to God's word.

But it is a wonderful opportunity to take something trivial and say, "Hah! Shows how much you know about the Bible!"

I guess what I’m trying to state is that my observation of all the scripture is that God initiates the relationship. I’ve heard others say even on this thread how they saw a picture of Jesus and thought oh how I love Jesus, but the continuation of the song is BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED ME.

Someone said that Romans 8 is a good chapter to learn by heart. A great idea! (I can probably repeat most of the verses, anyway.) Better to have the truth in the heart, though, than only in the memory, but the memory makes a good start!

I have gone through every verse in the chapter of Romans, and found none of what you were trying to make it say.
