The spirit is more powerful than soul, soul is more powerful than body. In the natural that seems to make since, but that is not our criteria for living that way. But scripture bears out spirit soul and body, as a pattern for living in this world with the peace that passes all understanding. After all isn't that all we want is peace. Not necessarily so, some can live a life of never knowing true peace.
Using words like "Christ is our peace" don't always resonate with people. It is to much of a cliche, or doesn't have what we hear as a challenge in life. We want more of a challenge especially if a person has a kind of daredevil attitude for living. They need to know there efforts have made some kind of impact. It feels good to have to do something even if it is just a little. You know give God His place but still having our little place in life.
I always think of what happened with one of the instant pancake batter maker who came up with the recipe for just adding water. People hated it because it was to easy. Before they had to add all the ingredients and eggs and water, the whole mix. But what happened they noticed sales plummeted because people wanted to mix there own, do something. So now most of the mixes you get to add oil, water eggs or whatever you use for making it. Very interesting. Doing something to feel better will always be a criteria for living for people that do not know better.
Have you ever been down in the dumps and give to your favorite charity or what not and that feeling brings you right out of muldrows. Now giving to your favorite charity may be good but the reasons we do certain things for certain feelings is not good. Advertising figured that out and play on the emotions of the customer, fear being the major emotion played on. If you do not have this product it's possible you could die. If you hear that enough times it's very possible you will buy the product. Or this pill, you must have this pill to continue living in this world.
So our pattern for living in this world is by; spirit-soul-body. That is the pattern for you as a believer can live your life in peace. The Holyspirit teaches from the stand point of spirit-soul-body. He is not as concerned with your body as you might think. Your soul is an expressor of spirit so it will get a lot of attention from the Holyspirit. What you need to know is spirit and to be able to express spirit in soul, the spirit will get the most attention until you learn expression. How does that work? By always pointing you to spirit because that is where Christ is. What do I mean always pointing? The schoolhouse. What does the schoolhouse teach or point to. Spirit, always turning you to the spirit. That is what hell (trouble) does it turns you in the schoolhouse.
Expression learned brings a believer into a new level of understanding and that is where you live. In spirit, by soul, in a body or coming out of a body. Search the scriptures for in them is life.
