Paul says all Israel will be saved, so I assume God has a way of forgiving people this kind of thing.

    David was not holy?

Psalm 86:2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Who said repentance has to happen before death?

How can all Israel be saved when so many have died in their sins?

I have thought, given that I can see we

make the same mistakes as Israel did, that this has something to do with it. (Concluding all in sin so He can have mercy on all.) But also keep in mind that not all of Israel are truly Israel, but those with circumcised hearts. Jesus said about one man, here is a TRUE Israelite...

The English translation is taking liberties with the text. The Hebrew says....Chasid...as in Hasidic Jews. Are Hasidic Jews holy? Well maybe outwardly. But Chasid means to be loyal to the covenant.

The Hebrew word for holy is Kadosh/ Kodesh.

You will find that only God is holy.

Rev. 15:4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.”

Thank you John. The crazy talk didn’t hurt. Not that I don’t care what others say but I’m fully aware it sounds crazy. Several years ago while seeing a counselor they told me I have a fear based personality. Later God clarified this as a spirit of fear. As the Samaritan woman by the well, she ran in to tell them John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

Crazy talk is being ruled by the spirit of fear. I’ve seen irrational-crazy and something new 2 Timothy 1:7
[7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

You seem to contradict your prior post where you said people today could have "inside holiness."

You want only passages with kodesh? Again I ask if God was asking the impossible?

Lev 19:2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

Num 6:8 All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD.

Num 15:40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

Num 16:5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

Deu 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Deu 26:19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

Deu 33:3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.

Psa 16:3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Psa 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

The New Testament also calls the prophets holy. I'm not sure why you want to draw this distinction; but it doesn't look valid to me.

Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

    Greeting VJ,
Fear is a natural thing, and it comes in many disguise. but fear can, and is always overcome, by a. "FAITH", (WHICH I CALL GOD GUTS), B. "KNOWLEDGE" that exposes the unknown.
and as for being crazy, be a fool for Christ in his knowledge, which will make you bold in him .... hence his guts/faith.

for he that endure..... "OVERCOME". sometimes you have to chart your own path. I'm reminded of the woman with the Issue of blood. she was crazy to believe that she could be healed, but made her way, (being unclean), to Jesus. as the apostle said, "but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus".
let nothing, or no one stop you from getting to christ. that's what this topic is all about, "The work of the Holy

Paul said some of Israel were blinded on purpose, to benefit the Gentiles, no?

Some of the natural branches are cut off the tree, but later grafted back in.

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
^ where good things (fruit)grows and spring forth.

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water (that fails not)that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Psalm 63 is similar also, in a wonderful way.
    1 (A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

That's not what "All Israel" means. Not all are Israel who are of Israel (according to the flesh). The Christian Gentiles coming into the commonwealth of Israel is the completion of Israel.....God's Israel...(not man's political entity) to fill in what is lacking by appealing to every tribe, nation and tongue with the truth.

Ephraim is the church that comes from all nations...and Ephraim and Judah are now "one stick" in God's hand...having One Shepherd.

The bible never says that ..."without holiness none shall live." It's about seeing God or not. The minimum criteria for salvation is righteousness not holiness. And this is a righteousness that speaks of an honesty and transparency as well as a fear of the Lord.

Very few will be qualified to remain in God's presence forever....only the Bride of Christ. And these are few.

The case of Moses shows us that the more we have been given...the more is expected of us.

But God is merciful in His judgments. A person has more value than what can be seen in only one event...and will be judged based on an entire life. Some punishments are temporal....and others are eternal. God decides not we.

Just let any fear you have be expressed in a fear of not doing what God wants you to do. Remember that men called Jesus a devil. He simply continued following the will of the Father, once saying to his closest followers:

"...Will ye also go away?" John 6:67

As we know, Jesus had no intention of compromising to make them happy or to stop them from leaving him... and neither should you compromise what God has put in you heart to say or write.

You keep on following God's lead, never minding that everyone does not jump for joy nor cry in despair with you... and sometimes not even understand.

Sometimes I am right with you in what you write, while at other times I do not understand at all your meaning and cannot even read the whole post because I have lost the thought... or never had it. That is me and I believe it is all of us who at times have such a problem... for whatever reason. Don't let that worry either.

My old pastor [94 now] who I still meet with at least once a week often would read a verse of scripture to the congregation giving no explanation of why he read it. He understood his own meaning, but sometimes he did not bother to explain his meaning because he presumed all of those hearing him knew, as he knew, what he meant. He was wrong on this in himself, but sometimes God works through us in seemingly strange ways for His purpose. Eventually God gave me discernment regarding that old man so that I usually knew what he was really saying and when appropriate I was able to insert a little better understanding to his listeners when I was able to speak.

What I am saying is simply remember that even though you know what you mean, some interested readers may not. Try to help them, if you can. Citing another verse of scripture may clarify it for some but sometimes it will only muddy the waters worse. Sometimes reading the scriptures you may have noticed that the writer seems to repeat himself. What he does is say the same thing in a different way to help get his point across to the reader. It may make a long post even longer, but if it is worth saying and worth understanding, will it not be worth that extra effort? I believe God does have a work for you. If a post gets too long, you can always break it up into a couple of shorter posts. Communication is important. If God does have a work for you here, do it the best way that you can and ask Him for help. He will!

The Holy Spirit has always existed but before Jesus was resurrected his role was different. He visited certain people at certain times and gave them the strength to carry out particular tasks, or guided them for a while. After Jesus rose from the grave and ascended into heaven he left his Holy Spirit on earth with us so that he could be with his followers so that we could call upon him at all times.

One can see by the numbers that left Egypt in Moses' day, many Gentiles were "added" to Israel. Those were "wild" branches grafted on, of course. So it has been for a long time.

The point I was making was that the "natural" branches which were cut off would be grafted back on. Gentiles were added on have no such guarantee.

Romans 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

Did you see my other post about "holy" or are you ignoring it, again trying to deflect?

I can't engage you in matters concerning the New testament as I believe you have not entered into that kind of life and understanding. You are stuck in the OT and what the flesh can do...and how God deals with mankind OUTSIDE of Christ.

The fact that you only see Gentiles entering in by the power of the flesh says an awful lot.

Not everyone has received the Spirit. And this is the truth...not a slight. My observations are meant to convey accuracy and understanding and not ruffle the pride of a man. There is a bigger picture to appreciate here. We are in a time where God has rejected the fleshly Israelites as being His people. But you will not see that of course. You will not see that there is a spiritual calling on ALL people....no fleshly prerogatives. It is by faith...not DNA.

Have you converted to Judaism? Why not? The Gentiles that were among the "mixed multitude" (erev rav) became Jews...or at least their offspring did. Is that what you think the "wild branches" are?
