Virtual Reality

Has anyone tried the Oculus Rift virtual reality system yet? I have tried it and I was able to sit next to a camp fire and chat with people around the world. It makes me wonder what this forum will look like in the age of Virtual reality. How will things stay the same and how will they change dramatically. I would like to start a discussion about it with the tech nerds here.

Technology advances quickly, you cannot be sure what the world would look like along with online experinces in 10 years; cars can park themselves nowadays and I'm sure vitual reality will soon be very common in the near future.

Very futuristic technology.

I imagine the changes for this forum would be profound - perhaps in future we would not need to type but merely think it and the post would be there.
Its hard to think what would be available in the future but it would be cutting edge for sure.

With this technology you can just put on a headset and walk into one of our forums and sit down next to a campfire and start chatting with others. Maybe a bot will record the conversation so others can search for them later.

That would be great wouldn't it; being able to meet people in virtual reality through a forum server!
I bet we're not too far away from this now - Google Glass is the beginning of such and it will evolve to great extents I feel.

Cant wait for VR to reach the masses. It will change our lives like smartphones did.
