So you are preaching to Jesus?

Jesus says to sin no more and be perfect.
As a metaphor Joyful. It is a goal to strive for, that's all. It is impossible to be perfect.

Nowhere in scripture is this proven.
It is contextual. Jesus makes it abundantly clear how to be saved.

I see you are still fighting against Jesus' word.

You are not showing gratitude to Jesus with your cheap salvation.

It's impossible to be perfect Joyful. Everyone on the face of the planet knows this.

Jesus is the Judge if we are doing our best.

OSAS encouraging people not to worry about obeying the law because it is difficult.

This is so ungrateful attitude against what Jesus has done for us.

You don't seem to have much faith in God's power.

I feel sorry for you.

The Gospel doesn't work that way kiddo. Jesus died for all sins. Do you believe this?

You still don't get it. Jesus died for all sins, past present and future. Daily repenting or not repenting has nothing to do with our eternal security. Eternal is forever.
Your idea that a child molester, for instance, need only say, "I believe in Jesus" and hey, presto...he is free to molest kids just as often as the urge takes him, and still go to heaven is just not true, ATP.
That child molester can still go to heaven, but he MUST repent, and turn from that vulgar sin. He must stop molesting children. And if he should slip up and put his hand on some kid where it doesn't belong, he'd better get back down on his knees and beg forgiveness, or he will not see heaven.
If he can't stop himself from doing this horrible thing, "it were better for him to be drowned in the sea"...

You admit that Jesus died for our sins, yet believe we can lose our salvation? Sounds like the confusion of the antichrist to me.

Yes, if we don't accept Jesus as our Lord, we will die. Jesus says if you love Me, keep my commands. How long are you going to dance around?

the more you fight, the more you are accumulating your sin, dude.

You need to repent of your ungrateful attitude against Jesus' commands.

why can't a person be sinless ?

Sin is in the heart to commit.

Jesus said its what come out of the heart that is corrupt.

Then we are told to be transformed by renewing our mind.

Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Are you seriously asking. 1 John 1:8 NIV. The only perfect being was Jesus. That's why He is sitting on His throne in all His Glory.

Yes, ATP, it is impossible to be perfect.
That is why we must continue to seek God's grace.
Jesus died because we are all sinners...do you understand what that means?

Jesus is our Immanuel...He is God made flesh.
IOW, God Himself came to us in the form of a man. Have you ever heard the term "slumming"? He gave up His glory to come live in this cess pool with us poor humans who can't even keep from sinning...
I have often wondered, looking around me at what we've made of the beautiful world God gave us, what it is He sees in us?
But He came here to seek and save those who are lost...blundering around in our own darkness...He came to give us Light.
It would behoove us, then, to listen to what He has to say to us. Surely, God would have some very important things to tell us, don't you think?

Yes, a few people listened. A few dirty fishermen from a backwoods province paid attention to what He had to say...and later, they would write about Him, preserving His life story for us, so that we, too, might glean wisdom from the lips of God, Himself.

And then, He went to the cross for us. Did you read about His prayer in Gethsemane? How He begged His Father to "take this cup from Me"? Did you shudder when you came to the part about how He sweat great drops of blood? Of BLOOD, ATP.
Can you even imagine what it was like, waiting in dreadful anticipation for what He knew was coming?

After 2000 years, I think we have kind of "watered down" that tremendous sacrifice. Crucifixion...have you ever considered just what that might be like? I promise you...you would be hard put to it to survive even being tied to a cross for a day...your lungs would collapse, for one thing...as your muscles were pulled to the limit and your tendons stretched beyond their capacity to withstand...bones pulling out of joint...it would be agony even without the cruel spikes. And don't forget, He was scourged as well...cruelly whipped...49 strokes with a Roman whip with bits of stone and broken glass tied into the lashes. I doubt a modern man of today would survive such a beating.
Oh, yeah...and then that crown of thorns. Can you even imagine the pain that would have caused? And head wounds like that do tend to bleed rather heavily....as a former epileptic, I can testify to that.

People tend to pass it off with a airy wave of the hand..."oh, Jesus was crucified for my sins" as if it was no big deal at all. He paid the price that we owe for our sins, ATP. All of that torture...that is what we have earned for our sin. We deserve to be whipped as He was whipped...we deserve the cruel crown of thorns, we deserve the spikes through our flesh...all of that He paid in our place.
I think we tend to forget...the punishment He took in our place is the punishment we deserve.

And what does He ask of us?
He says "If you love Me, keep My commandments".

Is that really so hard for you to understand?
Yes, all those verses you keep posting....and I think I'm beginning to see that list in my sleep...all of those verses are there. And they tell us of a beautiful promise.

But they cannot stand against that one sentence uttered by the Lord of Life.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Because you don't have heart of obedience to the Lord. You are showing spirit of rebellion.

You will not accept Jesus as your Lord if you are not willing to live for Him with all your might. Spreading half truth is anti-Christ spirit.

If your Lord is Jesus, you will not fight so hard against His word of "if you love Me, keep My commands."
