Okay, well I don’t agree with her. Or him. What I mostly disagree with is his hysteria and insistence on putting the word Christian in quotation marks. You’re a writer, I know you know what that means.

Okay, so maybe it was put a little bit roughly, but sometimes love is tough.

Yes, amazed, I have had a few problems at my shop. I am in Maryland and the mask requirement was lifted so I took the sign I had written off the front door and stopped wearing my mask. Twice, I have been asked where is your mask? I told them it is no longer required per the governor and is left to each business to decide whether to require a mask. Then They asked if I was vaccinated but I just didn’t answer but acted like I didn’t hear or had to look at my phone and answer a text, until they wandered away. One guy said, how is that going to work, like do you have to show customers you’ve been vaccinated...? I said, no, the governor didn’t say anything about that. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked around with his mask on.

You see that's the thing. You either have a mask policy or you don't. There is no in-between.

I don't want to get into my mothers health conditions, but there was some speculation as to problems with her condition early on in the vaccine news.

Oh, you mean health problems that could get worse with the vaccine?

Masks don't stop you from catching it...it stopped you from spreading it.

Isn't that pretty much the same thing though? If masks don't stop you from catching Covid, then how does that stop spreading it?

you believe that person was speaking in love...? That person was barely concealing hysteria and needs to let other believers walk out their trust in God.

I edited my post somewhat after you responded. FYI, you're quick!

Lol sorry I just read that, but to each their own.

Well, I don't think that you were ever the problem, but tell me something,.. does it sound Christian to you telling anybody that dying from Covid isn't an awful thing to happen to a person? Again, not talking about you as there are worse ways to go and you're right. I'm only just saying.

I may have missed the post where someone said dying of COVID isn’t an awful thing to happen to a person. I know it wouldn’t be awful for me, but I certainly don’t know it wouldn’t be awful for someone else. If I was given a choice, I would choose to die however I’m going to die today and go to be with Jesus and never have to see any more evils, pain or tears. But He wisely doesn’t allow me to decide when I will die.

I don't know if somebody said that it wasn't awful specifically in this thread, but death is the easy part. It means that you aren't suffering anymore. It's the dying and suffering part that's horrible.

I'm not sure this is a bad thing in some circumstances. If you remember the deadly Ebola outbreak was contained in Africa. The health workers were killed by machete attacks from locals that didn't like them (Womey massacre - Wikipedia). Just a bit of news. But countries have the right to require vaccination? Perhaps not, it should be that if you want to protect yourself you get vaccinated perhaps. Hmm, I'm kinda torn as to whether or not countries can require travelers to be vaccinated.

But the fact remains that we were protected from the Ebola outbreak due to containment measures in the infected areas. If that had happened here we would have been spared.

That and I hear that some countries have been devastated by the pandemic, like India.Covid-19 in India: Why second coronavirus wave is devastating

I'm sick and tired of them being so gosh darn pushy about!! It's a personal choice
I agree that it is a personal choice, but I can't understand people refusing to be vaccinated. I was anxious about having mine but I made the choice to go ahead with it from the desire to see it coming under control. It's not only myself that it protects but also any vulnerable person I may come into contact with. It wasn't about me but for the good of society as a whole.

I don't get it though. What's the worst that can happen if they find out that you aren't vaccinated? You might not be allowed to go certain places, but like I previously stated before,.. I'm pretty sure that they can't force it on you.

If millions of Jewish people can be forced into gas chambers I’m pretty sure vaccinations could be forced on people.

Not that I’m equating the two.

I think that it has to do with how fast it came out I really don't know either to tell you the truth.
either. :/

Nobody is going to hold a gun to your head and force you to be vaccinated. Trust me, they have more important things to do. Just like the fact that police weren't ever driving down the streets on mask patrol either.

Are you serious? A restaurant owner was thrown in jail for refusing to make people wear masks. A few pastors were also thrown in jail. Fences have been built around non compliant businesses in some places.

I think we owe it to our family and friends and work colleagues to get protected. The more people that accept the vaccination the quicker this covid will come under control.

Our restaurants have been closed but how can anybody eat in one with a mask on?

I’ve seen people eat with one on with my own eyes believe it or not. But I believe it was that she didn’t make them wear a mask upon entering and make them keep it on until food arrived. Might not have that exactly right. But she was thrown in jail for being non compliant. For someone to loot and burn down her business would have been okay though.

For one private businesses are a separate matter altogether,.. and for two, I agree with @Pearl on that one.
