If you're telling people that grace covers the practice of continued habitual, known, impenitent sin,

THe Grace of God, is the Blood of Jesus.
The Blood of Jesus, is the "one time eternal sacrifice for SIN".

This is why your BIBLE tells YOU, in 2 Corinthians 5:19, and Romans 4:8 that GOD does not charge Transgressions to you, ever again, if you are born again.
If you will receive Christ and Be saved.

Heretics, dont like those verses.. they dont want to know that God does not charge sin to the Born again, so they teach that He does.
Heretics Lie and they Deny the Cross of Cross with their Lies.
This is their ministry sent from the Devil.

3. We remain Christians as long as we don't make the CHOICE to reject Jesus as Savior and Lord.

What causes you to become a Christian, is the only reason you remain one.

You teach that you are the reason.

God"s Cross of Christ does not agree with you, Decevier.

Peter says so in 2 Peter 2:20-22 KJV\

These verses are dealing with people like Demas, or any consistent backslider.
The verses do not say they will go to hell, it say that harsh situations will come to you, if you proceed with a habitually willfully sinning lifestyle.
Heretics try to rewrite Peter's words as..>"if you dont live it, you will go to hell".
The text plainly says they were "escaped" but then "again entangled" in the world, and "the latter end of them is worse than the "beginning" and even a blind fool can see that their "beginning" was "on the road to hellfire". Try again.
Jesus says so in Matthew 24:12-13 KJV
This verse speaks about the Great Tribulation, and is related to the entire teaching of Jesus where He talks about the "Abomination of Desolation".
Self saving Legalists, do not read their bible, they only read their Cult's commentaries.... and so they just cut and paste a small amount of the verse that suits their Cult's deception that they teach.
The verse is explaining that if you are in the Great Trib, then you have to endure to the end of it, to be allowed Salvation.
The born again wont be there, so, no worries.
Since the Saints will be down here until the Second Coming they have to endure to the end, and a blind fool can see that those who fail to endure to the end will be lost. Your problem is you're following Jesuit Futurism, Satan's great eschatological lie. Try again.
Jesus also says so in Matthew 18:21-35 KJV
These verses are talking about forgiving others, specifically your "brother".
Heretics try to spin these verses and alter these verses to fit their fear of going to hell.
Maybe they should.
Jesus plainly says the fully forgiven servant had the original impossible debt reinstated, and even a blind fool can see that the "Lord" is God, the "Unmerciful Servant" is the sinner, the impossible "debt" is our impossible sin debt, and his fellowservant is our neighbor. So, the parable interpretation includes the fact that a forgiven man can forfeit his forgiveness. Try again.
Paul says so in Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV
These verses along with the others in Matthew are always posted by Heretics, as all Heretics live in "James" "Matthew", and "Hebrews", as i have explained to Phonemann777.
He keeps proving me right.

So, these verses, along with Hebrews 10, show Paul dealing with Christ Rejecting HEBREWS.
Paul also deals with Christ Rejection HEBREWS again, in Acts 28, the last 8 verses.
No one in these verses is born again., as Paul is giving them the Gospel, and you dont preach the Gospel to the born again.
Paul knows this but biblically ignorant Heretics do not.
You preach the Gospel only to the UNBELIEVERS......... and in this case, its Christ Rejecting Hebrews.
The Cross put an end to "Jew and Gentile" so what you wrote is nonsensical "false dichotomy" foolishness. The Hebrew who repents and becomes a Christian and falls away cannot be "renewed again unto repentance" - and even a blind fool can see hellfire belongs to the impenitent. Try again.

No amount of flailing your arms and stomping your feet and demanding God save you on your terms is going to make the OSAS License to Sin a reality.

Freedom of choice...we may check our brain at the door of the church as those who teach OSAS, but checking our freewill at the door is not an option.

ALL are responsible to "choose ye this day whom you will serve" and "yield yourselves servants to obey" God...or the devil by his OSAS License to Sin.

You left out..."if the brother has not sinned a sin that is unto death".

And as i told you before, You should keep your mouth shut about your past sins...., as when you "guilt trip" to another person, or God forbid, in front of a Church.....then you have given the Devil ammunition, to destroy your ministry.
He will take your "confession", into the ears of people who are gossip laden carnal people, and that is a BIG MISTAKE you can't undo.

You are not really in the ministry, as if you were you'd know a few things about how "the sheep behave".
So, if by happenstance, you find yourself as an officer of the church, never ever talk to "other believers" about your most private sins and faults.
TALK to God and Christ as you can trust them.......
These people, these "sheep".... some will harm you later, if you CONFESS., and so will your wife, unless she has a true spirit of meekness and is the type of RARE person who holds secrets for life.
This is a very rare human being.

Also, and finally for today... Paul told you to be a "follower of Me"......"as I follow Christ".
So, there is your Apostle to follow. Its the one that Jesus chose from Heaven, as a "chosen vessel".
Paul is your "apostle to the gentiles" who wrote all the Church Doctrine, and most of the Epistles.
Jesus is your Lord and Savior, but PAUL is your teacher, along with the Spirit of Christ.
When you find someone like me, the rare Minister who shows YOU THAT, then you need to listen to me, as im the one who can help you grow.
But that's on you to discover and you have your opinions.

Thanks for your openness. What I love about confession is recognising victorious behaviour and how it is founded. Sin is always about dreams of something totally out of proportion, when actually it is small, meaningless and destructive. I find I am attracted to certain people, but only in a flirtatious way and not in real personality or interest terms. This is very normal, and when one is weak enticing. But when put in context of a loving caring relationship it is about loneliness and lack of expression. Sharing about our feelings and interactions is actually empowering.

Some think their emotional reactions define them and their direction. It can be helpful to understand nothing can overcome us if we apply the right emotional responses and focus on our impulses. Unfortunately knowing ourselves is something of a mystery our whole lives, which is why sharing and bonding can help a lot. Here I am saying I can share and know things about myself. If we are trapped in trying to be something then we have this sense of needing to create an image or living up to certain expectations is a bad place to be. We need to believe walking in love and Jesus's way is life, and hinderances need to be avoided.

The danger to pastors is mentally ill people, who seem to be ok, but emotionally drag you into chaos and draining extreme accusations. I have seen folk destroyed by these situations, when they should have set simple limits and walked away.

It is easier to pretend there are no issues, and equally easy to get express apparent failures that are problem not failures at all.

Writing this makes me wonder what the apostles were getting at, because guys are quite poor at sharing, especially at a personal and vulnerable state. Sin is serious failure, so confession of sin is also unusual.

God bless you

I'm afriad @Behold would turn this thread into a OSAS apology. I liked the premise of this thread, which I think is understanding 'all things are lawful' in context.

No book of substance is meant for any one sentence to be taken as a comprehensive statement. It is too awkward to write each sentence that way. It is far more convenient to get to an and of a major section and conclude, "So, you only have to worry about 2 things." And then go on to summarize those 2 things. However, the context is about the major section one is reading, not all the topics the book covers.

Paul says something to the effect that he is not writing about unbelievers. Then, to whom are all his admonishing against supposed to apply to? To believers. He didn't waste all that ink taking about doing/not doing if there were not dire and eternal consequences. When he says nothing can separate us from God, I think it is obvious our choices are the unstated exception.

The OSAS appropriate metaphor is a rape; God acting against your will. Well, God is not a rapist! Universalism is not correct doctrine per the Bible. If you don't want to be saved, God will not go against your will. We are called, not compelled. The distinction cannot be overstated. And this explains why Matthew 22:14 'For many are called, but few are chosen.' Profound.

The Biblically appropriate metaphor of salvation is that we are a drowining man. Jesus comes by in a boat and throws us a life preserver. You can always trust God and know that Jesus will faithfully throw us a life preserver whenever we call on him. However, it is up to us to grab ahold and keep holding onto that life preserver. It remains in our power to let go and return to the condition we were in before Jesus came into our lives. We can return to be a drowning man. In this metaphor, the water is our sin. We are drowning from our choices. We have the capacity to also be saved by our choices. The moment of truth is the moment of death. Will our lord find you a drowning man or holding onto the life preserver, which he is?

The text plainly says they were "escaped" but then "again entangled" in the world, and "the latter end of them is worse than the "beginning" and even a blind fool can see that their "beginning" was "on the road to hellfire".

That hellbound person, was not born again.

There are no born again in Hell.

All Christians, to some degree are entangled in the world.
Being Married, entangles you, into the world, to a degree.

So, you are trying to force the verse to fit the cult teaching that Salvation Can Be Lost.
And as i told you,... You dont understand yet that JESUS is Salvation, and not your deeds, effort, or enduring.
You can't "lose Jesus", as He is in SPIRITUAL UNION< with the Born Again.
What does that mean?
It means that the "Temple of the Holy Spirit" is the born again believer, and this can't go anywhere but to heaven, where the born again exist already "seated". "In Christ".

Your self saving Legalism theology is still trying to make it there...while all the born again are already "ONE WITH GOD" and God is not going to Hell, and if a born again did, then God would be there with them.

You have to THINK, a bit.
Turn off the commentaries, Phonemann777

Endure to the end of the Great Trib?
A born again believer, who has been Raptured?
C'mon.
Turn off the commentaries, they have ruined your faith and theology.

There is no sin found in Christ, and all the born again, are IN Christ.

You have this funny idea that God's Salvation is only as good as you are.
Guess again.

Yes, all that is our DISCIPLESHIP = "present your body a living sacrifice" and "take up your Cross of self denial".

However, Salvation is not our Discipleship.... Salvation is CHRST ON THE CROSS.
How can you not understand this?

The danger to pastors is mentally ill people,

The danger to pastors is that they can fall into Theological error and ruin all their Sheep's discipleship and faith.

The danger to pastor is a beautiful wicked woman and the pastor is not spiritually "amour'd up" and always ready for this challenge.

The danger to a pastor is a Church filled with carnally ambitious males who want to get His Job.

The danger to a pastor is a wife who has gone carnal, fallen from Grace, and decides to tell the "church board" or the entire congregation every dark secret that the man has ever committed..

Lots of dangers to a Pastor.....those are just 4.

Thats good music, you listed.

These who are "myopic"......as you pointed out...... If you say to them, if you ask them..."why do you believe that your works that could not save you, or get you into heaven, that God did not accept.... before GOD SAVED YOU Through CHRIST......now have the power to keep you saved and get you into heaven, and you must do them?

How can what isn't accepted by God, (our works) before we are saved.....now become in their mind, accepted by the SAME GOD who didnt before?

This is an amazing deception that these people exist within in their darkened mind.

"well Behold, i know that all my works before i was saved were FILTHY RAGS, but now that im saved, its all different, my works matter now".

Well, not according to Holy God who died as Christ on the Cross to get us into heaven, thereby.

Its FAITH without works"......""Its GRACE......not of works lest any DECEIVER will BOAST on a forum about all their self effort and commandment keeping""""

Its really just one issue, or 2.

One is.......these people do not understand that Salvation is ALL of GOD< and our discipleship is all of US, with God's help.
These are not the same.

Salvation is not Discipleship.
Salvation is Christ on the Cross, and our discipleship is what we do AfTER we have received by FAITH, 'the Gift of Salvation" that Christ accomplished 2000 yrs ago on the Cross.

If they only knew that our eternal security motivates us in christ to do the good works because of secure love for us by Jesus!! It would set them free to soar in good deeds! Love is always a greater motivator than fear.

Yes, the "heavenly" point of prohibitions against eating unclean meats is that they cloud the mind, inhibit spiritual discernment, cause physical harm and thus psychological harm in that we become vulnerable to fiery darts of Satan, etc.

As you can see, I'm not missing anything - I know full well God knows full well if we do things to hurt ourselves physically, Satan will use that to hurt us spiritually. We need every advantage we can muster, which includes refraining from harmful unclean foods.
No...but that is all (saying it nicely)--organic...not heavenly. It was and is never about what is best for us in this world. Which is not to say that it is not also good for us in this world--it certainly is--but just as Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Thus, if we are to do exactly that, and if the subject is food...we are to think of what is heavenly food "first"--not to zero in on earthly foods and what is worldly good or bad. But rather do both, not leaving out what is to be "first" having nothing to do with the world, as His kingdom is not of this world. Likewise, it the subject is the Temple, think not of that temple of stone, but of the body of Christ; and if the subject is marriage, think not of men and women, but of the Bride and the Bridegroom; and if birth, think not of mothers, but our Father in heaven. Think "first" of heavenly things, rather than worldly things...for these are the things He has written of.

Ah, so if two friends die while horrifically raping an innocent girl, one grace-saved but backslidden and the other not saved, the grace saved one goes to heaven while the other goes to hell.

A blind man can see that turns "grace" into "license" - the OSAS License to Sin.

YOU do not understand what license means t3hen.

but the bigger question you need to deal with is that you do not believe that jesus died and paid for all your sins. According to the unbiblical doctrine that you can lose your salvation- Jesus blood did not forgive all your sins, just most maybe.

YOu have the old catholic mindset that if you die with mortal sin on your soul, you go straight to hell. Granted you have modified it but it is the same thought, Jesus didn't pay for all your sins.

That is another gospel and Paul condemned it in Galatians.

sin is no longer the issue. Even the lost sins are paid for! They do not go to hell becuase of sin, but because they reject jesus as Savior.

YOu also do not know what happens to an individual when they get saved! the momentous change that takes place! We become new creatures! Not metaphorically but literally!

We won't be perfect, we are growing till the day we die in grace, but as it says in Hebrews, we have already been perfected forever, now God is sanctifying us to make us what He has declared us to be.

YOU also forget teh grace that saves also teaches us to grow inholiness.

Teh Gods of the Bible is much more gracious and forgiving than yu make Him to be!

There is earthly consequence for living in sin, as a believer....or living carnally, committing works of the Flesh.
I wrote about those, in that Thread i posted to you.
There are many "losses".. but Salvation isn't one if them, as Salvation is not related to your behavior.

.
You wrote the truth in the above, but many would never believe it. I could give a testimony proving it to be true, but as this is a theological debating website, just take my word for it.
