Sometimes it just feels like peace has left the planet and all that is left is chaos and confusion!
We just will not find peace outside of God Himself. Jesus said, “In me you will have peace” John 16:33.

God in flesh came to live with you and with me. And because He came, we have peace.
Peace is not the absence of discouragement.
Peace is the presence of God.
And, since His presence is with us, we can have peace.

Lord, please give us inner peace today. You are our Peace. ✟
Please Lord, help us to find our rest in You.
Amen.

This world sure is full of "chaos and confusion". So many lost souls out there :( Yet, we were promised these things. It is so awesome to be in His "peace that surpasses all understanding" while going THROUGH these trials! My answer to EVERYTHING is prayer, especially when we have no control over a situation anyhow ♥
Father God, we ask for your peace in our lives and your strength to go THROUGH all trials. We know that you work all things to the good for those who love you, and are called according to Your purpose. Let us be a peculiar people for you Jesus, strengthen our faith, let us be aware of your presence especially during our sorrows and our trials. Remind us of your Truths Father and, thank you for so many wonderful Christians who step up to the plate when a brother or sister needs prayer and comfort, In your Son's matchless Name, Jesus.

Our true perspective. Love it! :)

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens
(2 Cor. 5:1).
  • The owner of the tenement which I have occupied for many years has given notice that he will furnish but little or nothing more for repairs. I am advised to be ready to move.

At first this was not a very welcome notice. The surroundings here are in many respects very pleasant, and were it not for the evidence of decay, I should consider the house good enough. But even a light wind causes it to tremble and totter, and all the braces are not sufficient to make it secure. So I am getting ready to move.

It is strange how quickly one's interest is transferred to the prospective home. I have been consulting maps of the new country and reading descriptions of its inhabitants. One who visited it has returned, and from him I learn that it is beautiful beyond description; language breaks down in attempting to tell of what he heard while there. He says that, in order to make an investment there, he has suffered the loss of all things that he owned here, and even rejoices in what others would call making a sacrifice. Another, whose love to me has been proven by the greatest possible test, is now there. He has sent me several clusters of the most delicious fruits. After tasting them, all food here seems insipid.

Two or three times I have been down by the border of the river that forms the boundary, and have wished myself among the company of those who were singing praises to the King on the other side. Many of my friends have moved there. Before leaving they spoke of my coming later. I have seen the smile upon their faces as they passed out of sight. Often I am asked to make some new investments here, but my answer in every case is, "I am getting ready to move."

Father make me wise, Lord. Never let me forget Your truths.

Give me the discernment of Your Spirit. Your ways are right. Make me wise enough to realize it and walk in them.

When I start to stumble, show me my ways Lord.
I don’t want to rebel and wander off. You are righteous, Lord, and Your ways are right.
I walk to You, I continue to walk with You.

You, Lord, are my true Home. My dwelling place....
Amen.

When we have thankful hearts, we are better, not bitter. .. we are grateful for what we have, not angry over what we've lost. We trust God even when we don’t understand. We can move forward instead of getting stuck.

Thankfulness is a choice, and sometimes it is a hard choice. Yet it is always the best choice because thankfulness always serves us while anger always enslaves us.

If we need to make a hard choice to be thankful today, make the hard choice because it will make everything else in our life easier.

We know that all things work together for good to those who love God… —Romans 8:28

The circumstances of a saint’s life are ordained of God. In the life of a saint there is no such thing as chance. God by His providence brings you into circumstances that you can’t understand at all, but the Spirit of God understands. God brings you to places, among people, and into certain conditions to accomplish a definite purpose through the intercession of the Spirit in you. Never put yourself in front of your circumstances and say, “I’m going to be my own providence here; I will watch this closely, or protect myself from that.”
All your circumstances are in the hand of God, and therefore you don’t ever have to think they are unnatural or unique. Your part in intercessory prayer is not to agonize over how to intercede, but to use the everyday circumstances and people God puts around you by His providence to bring them before His throne, and to allow the Spirit in you the opportunity to intercede for them. In this way God is going to touch the whole world with His saints.

Phil 1:6 " Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Walk with Him and trust that He is guiding each step you take. He is the Author and Finisher of your faith, so grasp your life loosely—don’t clench the pen. Give Him the pen and watch Him write your story from a beautiful beginning to an amazing end.

Thank You, Lord, that we can trust You to finish what You start and carry us during all of the in-between. Amen.

Just as a rose is the chief of flowers for its beauty and fragrance, our Jesus is the preeminent object of our desire. The sweetness of His fragrant life and words add beauty to our dull and colorless world.

That is why we can stop and smell the roses this Christmas season—because Jesus is the Rose.

In Scripture, the term Rose of Sharon is often taken as referring to the Lord Jesus.

I agree that much of that Book is a conversation between Jesus and the Bride of Christ. The first two verses of the chapter would be the words of Jesus as the Bridegroom:

" I am the Rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among the thorns, so is my love among the daughters," Song of Solomon 2:1-2

Then the Bride responds:

"As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste" Song of Solomon 2:3

Give God the glory!

Thank-you.

Dispensationally I would tend to see the book as being partly about the relationship between the Beloved and Israel, rather than the church.

Is there a difference!

It is so obviously between Christ and His Beloved. Of which His believing believers are.

Anything, in the Bible, that "speaks " to us, is for us.

I do not believe all the rubbish that is spoken about - " this is only spoken to the Jews, this is only for the lost , this is only for the gentiles etc etc ... Codswallop.

From Gen to Rev..it is ALL from God to the reader , when The Holy Spirit quickens it to the reader.

My two cents.

I was using the term 'the Beloved' to refer to the Lord Jesus, prefigured in the Old Testament; and in Ephesians He is called 'the Beloved'.

If the church began at Pentecost, then I guess we do have to have a distinction between Israel and the church.
