Actually, history did this because if a prophecy isn't 100% fulfilled, it is 0% fulfilled.

I’ve been meditating on this brother Marks is the tithe God gives the increase. This is why he says no scripture is of a private interpretation. Many men read scripture in a self centered point of view, when God says the body is the temple of God they only perceive it as applying to there individual body. If we put Christ into the center of this scripture we see he is referring to the collective body fit together. If there’s leven we cast it out to form a new lump. Marks is the tithe. Gods storehouse is well stocked inexhaustible in fact.Acts 17:24
[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Who here skips entire posts bc they do not like the implications is surely more relevant wadr
But how does this change the Law given by the Lord of heaven and earth?Acts 17:24
[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
I'm talking about the Biblical law of tithing. Where is that? Why don't the Lawkeepers keep that? Or all the other laws disregarded?Your food is on the alter
I just showed you. What’s on the alter is the unleavened body of Christ. Inexhaustible!I'm talking about the Biblical law of tithing. Where is that? Why don't the Lawkeepers keep that? Or all the other laws disregarded?

Your reaction to the lukewarm, disregard by many is understandable...but be careful not to heap on too heavy a burden. His burden is light. It is Christ Jesus alone who is able to fulfill and to carry the full burden of condemnation that God has put upon the fallen world. We can do nothing.The two most popular beliefs in the church today are seemingly not really believed by anyone. When heard proclaimed from the pulpit, they are met with a hearty "AMEN!", but that is as far as belief in them goes. They are:
"We don't have to obey the Ten Commandments".
"When we die, we go straight to heaven."
So, my question to those who claim to believe these two is "why are you still here"? If I can break the sixth commandment and kill myself and go straight to heaven to be with Jesus, why would I spend another day down here?
The answer is obvious: people don't really believe we are at liberty to break the Ten Commandments and people are really unsure about their standing with Christ, no matter how much they claim to be "more than conquerors".
The solution is this: make a FULL SURRENDER TO CHRIST, thank Him for each day He wakes you up, and ask Him "what is Thy bidding, Thou wonderful, merciful Savior, blessed Redeemer and Friend?" This life will soon be over and the only thing we'll carry with us to the Judgment Seat of Christ is our character, either molded into Christ's image by the Potter or dried up, cracked, disfigured, and worthy of only the burn pile.
It’s paid in fullBut what does this have to do with the legal requirement to tithe?
This is why he says no scripture is of a private interpretation.
If anyone wishes to be an island then there’s nothing I can do about that. I’d rather be Christ centered and there’s nothing anyone can do about that.Just an aside . . .
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Know ye not that ye (plural) are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye (plural) are.
The plural pronouns show the corporate nature of God's living temple.
We need to be careful readers, taking seriously everything that is said, not inadvertantly undermining God's Word.
Much love!
So, I'm confused. Are they Ten Commandments or Ten Suggestions? Are we free to break them or obligated to keep them?Hi Phoneman,
When have I ever said that?
This is one of the ways God improves us, by exposing us to opportunities to sin. We are to look for the righteousness that He calls us towards, the outworking of the temptation, the escape, the distant shore, that end He had in mind.
We're to be happy when we are tested/tempted, because this builds patience, and makes us complete.
So when the temptation comes, we look at what God wants, and do that.
In Christ alone, not be works of law.
Much love!

So then the law has been fulfilled by Jesus, and I no longer have to keep it. It's paid in full.It’s paid in full
Maybe JP Was an islandI think Young's Literal Translation carries the meaning on this passage, not that "people can't just make up their own interpretation of prophecy", rather, no prophecy came from the prophet's own understanding. A number of translations put it this way, YLT, ESV, Holman, NLT,
YLT:
this first knowing, that no prophecy of the Writing doth come of private exposition,
J.P. Green puts it this way:
"knowing this first, that every prophecy of Scripture did not come into being of its own interpretation;"
FWIW . . .
We establish itSo then the law has been fulfilled by Jesus, and I no longer have to keep it. It's paid in full.
Much love,
Mark
