I asked you two weeks ago to prove something through the word and you refused and called me ignorant. What’s the problem? You should have no problem with that if you believe what you just wrote. You should welcome everybody that says...prove what you just said..
I’ll ask it again...
You said a Christian is one who “obeys God”.
So...what did you do to become a “Christian”?
You should welcome that question. Did you do what God says we must do? Or not?
I want to be a berean and study the passages you give me. Help me out.

You said a Christian is one who “obeys God”.

Disobedience is sin.

A Christian is a son or daughter of God, they are no longer a slave to sin.

John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

1 John 3:21-23
21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

1 John 3:4-6
4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

So...what did you do to become a “Christian”?

Repent, not just from the sins you've been committing, but from your whole sin nature. Believe that only Jesus can save you from your sin nature. It is more than just knowing facts about Jesus, even the demons know that. You must be born again of the Spirit. In other words receive a new spirit and a new nature - the divine nature.

Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:1-9
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

You are correct about studying, but... only if your number 1 above is involved. Otherwise we have this:

"And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh." Ecc 12:12

The 1st one [hermeneutics] I only learned from forums such as this one. It is important to some people, but if you are really being led by the Holy Spirit, not knowing what it means is not going to hinder you in your walk with God.

The 2nd one [Berean] comes from the following verses and calling a person a Berean means he is constantly searching the scriptures usually for a good purpose:

"And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:10-11

Actually, "interpretation" is not a lot more than "opinion."
If this were true God would not expect His people to rightly divide (interpret) the Word of Truth.

No, Bible interpretation is NOT merely opinion. After one has carefully compared Scripture with Scripture (using all available and legitimate Bible study tools) one can arrive at the proper interpretation of the Bible. And in fact, the greater part of the Bible does not even need interpretation, since the meaning is plain. However it is the Holy Spirit who makes the meaning plain to the child of God.

Let's take John 3:16 as an example, and ignore what Calvinists claim that it says: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The only two things that need interpretation are "only begotten Son" and "perish". To understand these two things one needs to examine a Lexicon or a Bible dictionary.

1. And we will discover that"only begotten Son" applies strictly to the Lord Jesus Christ, and means "uniquely begotten Son" (since no mother is involved) from the Greek monogenes. Which means that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, with an eternal Father-Son relationship. At the same time we will discover from other Scriptures that He is God and the eternal Word of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:8-12).

2. As to *perish*, the Lexicons and Bible dictionaries show us that the Greek word apollumi literally means to destroy, but that does not mean extinction or annihilation (and other Scripture make it clear that it means eternal damnation -- "to be delivered up to eternal misery"). So perish is the opposite of everlasting life.

Strong's Concordance
apollumi: to destroy, destroy utterly
Original Word: ἀπόλλυμι

Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: apollumi
Phonetic Spelling: (ap-ol'-loo-mee)
Definition: to destroy, destroy utterly
Usage: (a) I kill, destroy, (b) I lose, mid: I am perishing (the resultant death being viewed as certain).

Here we see that Strong's is not entirely adequate, but Thayer's gives us a better understanding.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon
STRONGS NT 622: ἀπόλλυμι
a. of persons; (a). properly: Matthew 8:25; Luke 13:3, 5, 33; John 11:50; 2 Peter 3:6; Jude 1:11, etc.; ἀπόλλυμαιλιμῷ, Luke 15:17; ἐν μαχαρια, Matthew 26:52;καταβαλλόμενοι, ἀλλ' οὐκ ἀπολλύμενοι, 2 Corinthians 4:9. (b). tropically, to incur the loss of true or eternal life; to be delivered up to eternal misery:John 3:15 (R Lbr.), ; (it must be borne in mind, that according to John's conception eternal life begins on earth, just as soon as one becomes united to Christ by faith); Romans 2:12; 1 Corinthians 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15:18; 2 Peter 3:9. Hence, οἱ σῳζόμενοι they to whom it belongs to partake of salvation, and οἱ ἀπολλύμενοιthose to whom it belongs to perish or to be consigned to eternal misery, are contrasted by Paul: 1 Corinthians 1:18; 2 Corinthians 2:15; 2 Corinthians 4:8; 2 Thessalonians 2:10 (on these present participles, cf.Winers Grammar, 342 (321); Buttmann, 206 (178)).

This is true, but it is good to understand it all from the proper perspective.

The word of God is like the flesh, it comes first. But as Jesus said we must also be born of the spirit of God, and as Paul elaborated to say that we need to press on, even living behind those elementary principles of Christ...the Word is only foundational to the higher calling of God.

But many do not first start with that firm foundation, and should.

It is about hermeneutics, the books of the bible are split into many formats, genesis historical narrative, proverbs poetic literature in order 2 interpret the different languages u'd have 2 use hermeneutics not to mention jesus's parables, are they all literal interpretation? or are they metaphorical? yes the holly spirit is a guide but (He) is not going 2 read the bible 4 us, (He's) just going 2 point us in the right direction.

No the Holy Spirit won't do the reading or any studying for us. Each of us must use what is given to us to accomplish what God's will is for us. Not all of us were cut to be learned theologians after the order of the Apostle Paul. Each of us must follow the pathway God provides and along which He leads. The Body of Christ consists of what?

"For the body is not one member, but many.
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him." I Cor 12:14-18

All of these parts but with different functions indeed as it pleases God to assign them. Do we know our own assignment? Do we know the assignments of every other part of the Body?

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
Where’s the water? Jesus said....unless you are born of WATER and the SPIRIT you can’t enter the kingdom. Is it in acts 2:38.? Were you....”baptized in water in order to remove your sins”.?

Personally, after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and was given a new nature and spirit, I got baptized in water in answer to a good conscience. How can you have a good conscience from having power over sin without first having the Holy Spirit? I received the Holy Spirit directly after truly repenting.

You were “baptized in the HS”? Could you do the miraculous? What miraculous thing did you do?

I hope you weren't scoffing, as God hates scoffers. But I will tell you this - I've lived in the miraculous and stay in awe. For 30 years before I was baptized in the Spirit but attending church, I never received one answer to prayer. Since being baptized in the Spirit 42 years ago, all my prayers are answered, just as the Word says of Christ's followers who obey Him, 1 John 3:21-23.

God does the miraculous. But He did a miracle for me, so He still does the miraculous today, as well as all the other gifts of the Spirit for ministry, and for us individually. In 1986 in my apartment, He turned a brass screw into a diamond ring, just like Jesus turned water into wine. And He spoke to me and told me the exact day it would happen. (15 months away) And it happened.

A few months ago late one night, I had my back porch door open and suddenly I heard my next door neighbor's dog, Penny, barking very fast and very high. I knew she was being attacked, but I couldn't hear another animal. Then all went quiet. I called my neighbor immediately, but she didn't answer so I just left a message of what I heard, figuring they were busy with Penny. The next day she called me and they had both (she and her husband) been asleep and didn't hear the attack but they found Penny at the bottom of their deck stairs. She was paralyzed. They took her to the emergency room vet and her back was broken, and she needed an operation and was quoted $5,000. She had no feeling in her back legs or feet. They took her home. I cried all day. I went over that night to see Penny in her condition, and talk with them about what they were going to do. Penny was on the floor in their den on a blanket. She was in no pain because she had no feeling. They even had to squeeze her bladder on a pad for Penny to relieve herself. As yet, they didn't know if her bowels were working or not. All Penny could do was pull herself up three steps from the den to the main floor with her front legs and drag her back hind legs across the floor on her stomach. At the little church I have been going to, I've been learning by watching them pray for the sick. They COMMAND the healing. So I put my hand at the base of Penny's back and commanded healing in Jesus' name, and told my friend to keep that up and I went home. The next day she called me and said Penny was walking on all fours! We are keeping up the prayers and thanking God that Penny is being healed.

Penny is now 100% healed. We noticed her feet weren't working right, so I told my neighbor to command healing into those paws. A few days later my neighbor came by with Penny as they were going for a walk. Penny ran up to me, her paws were completely functional. Praise God. Amazing, going from a broken back, completely paralyzed from the hips down, dragging herself around on her stomach, legs trailing behind her, to running after the squirrels again!

Did you then go to the hospital and put those powers to work? I ask that cause NOBODY ever does. These “miraculous” events always seem to happen in private.
And a dog healing over time is not a “miracle”
The miraculous gifts of 1 Cor 12 are no longer active. Paul even said in the next chapter...they will cease. And they did.
Everybody has their “testimony” but NOBODY can demonstrate anything in public. They could and did in the first century.
Acts 5:16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
When people had real power.....ALL WERE HEALED! In public.
