1 Corinthians 1.
Because he didn't want his name exalted?
Nice attempt. But no, that doesn't fit

1 Corinthians 1.
Because he didn't want his name exalted?
I would suggest Paul disagrees. If we read the context below we see why Paul thanked God he did not baptize any save Crispus and Gaius and the household of Stephanas.Nice attempt. But no, that doesn't fit
Oops.... you forgot this part of His command: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them....and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.
The proof is found in God's word--the word that has no contradictions. Clearly, salvation is by faith. For example, Rom. 5:1 states that we are justified (declared righteous) by faith. It does not say faith and baptism. If baptism were part of salvation, then it would say we were justified by faith and baptism. But it does ""not"". If justification is by faith, then it is by faith. Baptism is ""not"" faith. It is a ceremony. It is something we do as a ritual. Proof baptism does not save is the many unbelievers that get baptized to please family and friends but remain and die unbelievers and will be in hell! Furthermore, please consider the following verses which declare how we are saved.
- Rom. 3:22, "even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction."
- Rom. 3:26, "for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."
- Rom. 3:28, "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law."
- Rom. 4:5, "But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness."
- Baptism and John 3:5 | CARM.org
- Rom. 5:1, "Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
- Gal. 3:8, "And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham."
- Gal. 3:24 , "Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith."
- Eph. 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Oops....you forgot to read this part of scripture: “baptism now saves you”.It says so right there
Christ did not send me to baptize.
Christ did, however, send Paul to save others. To save everyone he can.
Thus baptism is not what saves anyone

Thanks friend of,He's speaking about Spirit baptism. Not water
Soooooo are you suggesting it is ok to leave water baptism, the baptism that saves, out of this discussion? After all the OP says that baptism is not essential for salvation when Scripture clearly teaches opposite of that theory
Do you believe that water baptism is essential for salvation?
From The Word Of God: Baptism now saves you.It says so right there

Faith without works is dead.....Did you read that in Scripture???You kind of confirm your own point by saying this.
It's not. Faith is what matters
that makes no sense.....I confirmed what Scripture says: “baptism now saves you”...You kind of confirm your own point by saying this.

Christ didn’t send Paul to baptize....but he baptized just like Jesus commanded: Baptize all nations> Soooo Paul fulfilled the commandment of Jesus. It says so right there

Ummmm.......No, Scripture and The Church teach that you would be saved. Just like the thief on the cross. All right..... You would say that if I would have died in a car accident between it, I would not be saved? And a member of Cornelius family who died between the two events would also be lost.
I would say my God is a just God.....
Okay, I guess you're not going to engage in the scriptures I've provided.
Moving along...
How confusing your words are. You disagree with me by saying “‘except he didn’t” but then say he didn’t baptize many...Huh????Except he didn't.
The text explicitly states that he did not baptize many.
Not until you treat Scriptures with respect and stop taking the Bible as your own to chop up as you see fit. You think your all high and mighty because you only use verses you like and ignore the rest, disgusting

Did not baptize many = did not baptize ANY in your book???
Paul did as Jesus commanded...He baptized. End of story....
