I've had an angel save my life.
There are no doubt many people who have been helped by the Lord Jesus Christ within them (by and through other people, or perhaps the holy spirits nudging of our Father tugging on our heart or speaking to us some how), coming to remind them of the message to trust in in His Father, and to love our brothers and sisters, and praising the one whom adopts us as his children. You and the many women here on this board are precious created images of God, and it's good to be able to see you around on here, Pearl, and of course the others. And all the fellow men out there, you too are precious, and are seen and looked at by God who you can commune with openly and freely daily, knowing you are given the holy spirit to be able to help you as you abide in the Lord Jesus Christ, remaining humble, and selfless which is suffering and picking up ones own cross, which is never an easy feature however God is near! He hears you! He sees you! And he desires for all to reach out to him, in faith, and seek him and receive newness of life. :)

Teaching from the Church of England or any evangelical source will be a difficult thing to overcome. You have my compassion.
i don't actually need your compassion but thank you for the offer. Which branch of church are you a member of?

I've had an angel save my life.

Please share the story if you will.

I recall early on in my spiritual journey, when I first began awakening to the realm beyond— I was sitting with my three young boys in Cathedral City— waiting on our to-go order at an Applebee’s. This homeless looking lady approached my driver’s door and I expected she would ask for money when she motioned me to lower my window. Instead she extended her hand for me to take and she looked me in the eye, with hers absolutely twinkling— and she said: Welcome. Welcome to the world.

My boys were so bewildered and as she walked away -asked… “What was that???”

Without thinking I blurted. I think we just encountered an Angel.

Absolutely, the Holy Spirit helps me. And I thank God for the Angel on our motorbike who saved our lives.

I’m not a member of any organizational church. I belong and am a member of the body of Christ— and that is the ONLY true church.

I attend a large Non-Denominational that is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church.

Sorry @Mr E - I won't post it on here for it to be pulled to pieces.

Just like me then, a member of the one true Church - the body of Christ. Wonder why we have such different views on things.

Ever ask yourself why John would just say something like “In the beginning was Jesus and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. Jesus was with God in the beginning, through Jesus all things were made…., and so on.
I never said that John said Jesus it is just accepted in my circles that it is the pre incarnated Jesus John is talking about. The one through whom all things were made.

You maybe think that this pre-incarnated "Jesus" was Melchizadek? That's a common belief in such circles of acceptance.

Didn't the word become flesh in Gen 1? When the spirit of God was breathed into Adam and he became a living soul...? Did Adam become God? Or was Adam Jesus too? --Or Jesus was Adam--? How do you pick and choose?

Was Elijah Jesus? How about Elisha? How many incarnations? Just one? Just Jesus?

Hate to break it to y'all, but Jesus was not the only one to whom the word came-- and became flesh.

Just quoting scripture.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
"Logos, " used philosophically, just means "the rational self-expression of God as opposed to God in God's unknowability.
So it doesn't mean Jesus was a preexistent "male" guy. Remember, God denies literally being "a male" (Hosea 11:9).
So "psychology" is the rational study of the -psyche, etc.

Your reference in Hosea doesn't have God "literally denying being a male." It has Him explicitly denying being a man (human being).

He is saying He is not mortal (flesh), but spirit. Eternal. And set apart (holy) and unique.

All of which would culminate in God telling readers God is not male.

You can certainly infer that..... but you can't tell me the text "literally" states that. It does not.

People who use the word "literally" should learn what it means.

Agreed.
When God having no human gender is literally true it seems unnecessary.

@MatthewG My belief is that as God created Adam in his own likeness, so Adam had both the male and female characteristics within himself. But then God removed the feminine from Adam and made a woman. So I believe God has both those qualities and it is why most of us have some small residue of hormones of the opposite sex. But I don't like to think God got it wrong when he made us and knit us together in the womb. Sadly so many people do believe that these days.
And yet, God is a "he." Nowhere in scripture do we hear Him called "she."

That definitely isn't in the Bible.
The Prophet Elisha's eyes were open to see an army of angels in 2 Kings 6. They were invisible until God let him see them. Obviously they were in a different dimension. We have guardian angels watching over us - can you see them?
That would seem to indicate that the DO have a gender
Angels appeared as men. Men were the rulers, the prophets, the disciples, and that is the order of things. They could appears a woman I suppose. Don't recall them doing that.
You're extrapolating... hypothesizing... your ideas aren't crazy, but they also aren't actually in the Bible.
Conjecture is not crazy. Jesus appeared ten times in 40 days. Where do YOU think need was in between those visits?
The Bible nowhere says that heaven is a DIFFERENT DIMENSION. It says the opposite...

The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Spiritually we are in His kingdom but have you seen heaven? I am still on earth. Some have.

Nope, don't pontificate when you don't know Hebrew. The word is "ish" which means "a male," not "human." If Hosea wanted to say "human," he would be expecrted to use "adam."

A writing of Paul to Timothy in his first sent letter, in regards of what his mission is to go and teach to the people of Crete, I believe.

”First of all, I ask that you pray for all people.

Ask God to bless them and give them what they need. And give thanks.

You should pray for rulers and for all who have authority.

Pray for these leaders so that we can live quiet and peaceful lives—lives full of devotion to God and respect for him.

This is good and pleases God our Savior. God wants everyone to be saved and to fully understand the truth.

There is only one God, and there is only one way that people can reach God. That way is through Christ Jesus, who as a man gave himself to pay for everyone to be free.

This is the message that was given to us at just the right time. And I was chosen as an apostle to tell people that message. (I am telling the truth. I am not lying.) I was chosen to teach those who are not Jews to believe and understand the truth. I want the men everywhere to pray. Men who lift their hands in prayer must be devoted to God and pleasing to him.

They must be men who keep themselves from getting angry and having arguments. And I want the women to make themselves attractive in the right way.

Their clothes should be sensible and appropriate. They should not draw attention to themselves with fancy hairstyles or gold jewelry or pearls or expensive clothes. But they should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.

That is more appropriate for women who say they are devoted to God. A woman should learn while listening quietly and being completely willing to obey. I don’t allow a woman to teach a man or tell him what to do.

She must listen quietly, because Adam was made first. Eve was made later.

Also, Adam was not the one who was tricked. It was the woman who was tricked and became a sinner.

But women will be saved in their work of having children. They will be saved if they continue to live in faith, love, and holiness with sensible behavior.“
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭15‬ ‭ERV‬‬
