The name of Jesus Christ is above every name.
KJV Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth;
His name is exalted above blessing and praise.
KJV Nehemiah 9:5 . . . Stand up and bless the LORD your God
for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name,
which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

God’s words are magnified above his name.
KJV Psalms 138:2 I will worship towards thy holy temple,
and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth:
for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
KJV 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures.

The Lord preserved his words, not the church and not the scholars.
KJV Psalms 12:6-7
6 The words of the LORD are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them
from this generation for ever.

Believers will believe, doubters will doubt and haters will hate.
KJV Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

While the entire line of scripture are records,
the outstanding record of scripture and the scripture of final authority
is the published text and form of the AV 1611 KJV Holy Bible
first edition.

KJV Holy Bibles are the most published, read and loved bibles
of all time.

As I have said before, I don't understand the obsession with reading 16th Century English. No other Bible in any other language uses their ancient tongue. Reading 16th Century English does NOT make a person any holier than a person who reads 21st Century English.
Where did people get this silly idea that it does?

I am not a KJV Only or an Original Only.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness:

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

#1. You cannot honestly state you have scripture if you believe
only the original manuscripts were given by inspiration of God.
There are no original manuscripts !
KJV But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty,
not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully;
but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves
to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

#2. You cannot honestly say "the bible" or "all bibles"
are given by inspiration of God.
There are over 400 (Christian, Catholic, Cult) Greek, Syrian,
Latin, German, English, French, Spanish, etc. bibles
which do not match in content, volume or doctrine.

#3. You cannot honestly say "the Greek N.T." or "all N.T. Greek texts"
are given by inspiration of God.
There are over 24 reconstructed (Christian, Catholic, Cult) Greek N.T. texts
which do not match in content, volume or doctrine.

Makahiya,

How can anyone know what your are. You jump on this site about once a month and post a bunch of stuff about KJV being the pure word of God and then disappear. Why don't you spend your time sharing the content of the Bible rather than why your preferred version is the best.

I can honestly say that whatever you say is not necessarily God's honest truth either.

Hey Makahiya ......... is this the stuff you are talking about ???

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Can you translate it for us please
hehe

Do a search on the lost books and texts of the Bible and then tell us again how we have every word from God. Ridiculous.

No one language or dialect is intrinsically better than another. I am grateful to God that I can read his word in my native language and dialect whcih is American English. I do not find it easy to understand Medival English.

Amen! God does put His Word above everything for He and His Word are one and God created the entire heaven and earth and all that is in them with His Word The Christ that must be exalted up in all the earth so that every knee bows down to the Word under submission to God.

Heb 11:3
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
KJV
Heb 1:2-3
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand(HE IS THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD) of the Majesty on high;
KJV
John 1:1-3
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
KJV
1 John 1:1-3
1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Plenty of people don't know the reason why the KJV was produced.

In the early 17th century, England's King James I was the official head of the Church of England. James was power hungry, and he wanted absolute rule over everything including churches. However, one thing stood in his way, the Bible that the people of England were using - the Geneva Bible. Church historian Ernest Trice Thompson states the following about the Geneva Bible:

It had become the popular version in England, but was detested by James because it had footnotes strongly opposed to the divine right of kings, to which James was committed. James cried that he would have a new Bible.

When the King James Version was produced, the king outlawed other English versions. As a result, British citizens - including colonists in America - were restricted to using the King James Version. That is why the KJV gained common use, because there was no separation of church and state.

Today, freedom of religion has enabled biblical scholars to produce modern English versions of the Bible that accurately translate what is said in the ancient Hebrew and Greek manuscripts.

The word of GOD is not a book... the good of word is Christ which lives in the heart of the elect.

About the bible...
What matters in it is the message passed from the one who teaches to the one who is teached... if the meaning of the message is preserved (which can only be understood by the Holy Ghost) than the translation is usefull... because the book it self is not the living word, but it testifies of the word of GOD who is Jesus.
If a recent translation is more clear in nowadays language than its a better translation AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT CHANGES THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE.

I too like some translations better than others in some aspects, but from the translations I know I find none that perverts the message which is clearly understandable by its context and by to what is being explained.

It was because of honoring a book more than the understanding of the word (Jesus) than the Jews killed the prophets and Christ.
