And if your end goal here is "we should all be Catholic": no. None of this remotely supports Catholicism anymore than any other group/view.

For the present just take it for what it is. Sixty six books in the King James Bible. It has been around for over 400 years so the matter is well settled.

The question that is being asked in MHO is: - Are our translations, that we hold dear, the "Bible," or are they just an interpretation of what was contained in the source texts, from which they were translated, which may or may not be flawed, with respect to being good enough to be called our "modern day bible?"

Actually that leads to elevating the wisdom of men above God, but christians seem to be content to fight God and Christ using the bible with their own understanding.

Jesus referenced it as the bona fide account of God's Word. There is the account of the 'road to Emmaus' where Jesus unfolded to the two disciples the things concerning himself.

Luke 24:44 'Then he said unto them, these are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning me'

There is also the account of the temptation of Jesus by Satan in the wilderness....Jesus answers him with scripture (God's Word)

Further....we have the prophetic utterances of Daniel and Revelation as well as other Prophets whereby we can verify its supernatural origin.

Good question. We don't, it was a Church council through the Holy Spirit that decided what is the Bible.

If you have never heard that possession is 9/10ths of the law, you are now hearing it. When a Bible has been in possession of the field for over 400 years, the matter is settled. If after that you continue to dispute the matter, you are nothing but a troll.

You trust god

he spent a few thousand years putting it together for his creation. Call it his love letter to us. If he made it for us he made it so we can understand

the problem is, as with many books. People get their ideas of what they think it is and means So we have all these differing views and ideas and they go as far as say only listen to them they are right

remember 1 thing. God will hold you accountable to what you believe. So you are responsible for making sure you get it right. He will not give you a pass if some pastor or priest taught you wrong and you listened to them without testing what they said

gods word is what he gave us. It is the only thing that can be trusted
