We do know when the second invisible presence of Jesus Christ begins but we don't know when Armageddon will happen.

this is where a many of Christian miss the mark.

"the second invisible presence of Jesus Christ", are you kidding? understand, our Lord will appear twice, which one has already happen. and the so-called, "invisible presence of Jesus Christ", is nothing more that his "Manifestation" in the Spiritual Gifts, which happen on Pentecost. now his last apperance is yet to happen, his parousia, or second coming. supportive scripture, Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

christians need to understand the difference between a "apperance" and a "Manifestation".

for the Lord Jesus has already "appeared" one in natural flesh, and "manifested" himself in Spirit at Pentecost with the gifts, the only thing left now is his second apperance which every eye will see, supportive scripture, Revelation 1:7 "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."

Nope, he ain't kidding. That's what he's told, and he believes EVERYTHING the JW's tell him. -- Why, what's wrong with THAT?!?

Jesus IS the Word. Therefore if we understand Scripture, then we KNOW ACCORDING TO JESUS HIMSELF!

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ...

But apparently SOME are AFRAID OF THE WORD, otherwise they might read and discover the YEAR.
Bobby Jo

Well if you believe the year is 2021, we are only going to have to wait one year to find out.

Ummmmmmmm, the Mark of the Beast should be by Late Spring to Mid-Summer. So perhaps we only need to wait some 6 to 9 months? So apparently that's about how long you have to use your Purse to fill you Bag, and to buy a Sword, but I seriously doubt that too many are making that effort. And if not, then there will be PLENTY of candidates for the Great Falling Away. :)

But more importantly, is there SOME REASON WHY you won't open the Book Of Psalms to see if the Chapters are Prophetic to the Jews for the 1900's? What are you afraid of, -- FINDING OUT the TRUTH?

Wow how did you know?! Just kidding.

Why would we need to literally fill up the bag and buy a sword when Jesus returns?

Actually, the ALARMING PART is YOU'RE NOT KIDDING. If you were SERIOUS, you'd tell me WHY Psalms 48 doesn't match the International Recognition of the State of Israel; WHY Psalms 44 doesn't match the Holocaust; WHY Psalms 91 doesn't match Desert Storm; but instead THERE'S SILENCE, -- because YOU'RE AFRAID OF WHAT SCRIPTURE MIGHT REVEAL.

Why would we need to literally fill up the bag and buy a sword when Jesus returns?
... to prepare for when we can't buy or sell; and when we'll have to defend ourselves from violent criminals?

1 Cor. 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness ...

Which is to equally suggest, -- the preaching of Scripture is to them that perish foolishness ...

Lke 22:35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.

These verses have always applied though ever since Jesus said it. They weren't all necessarily literal though.

@Bobby Jo I think you know what I mean, as I have pointed out plenty of times, when the apostles got persecuted they didn't act in self defence with a sword.

The New Testament Church is not supposed to live by "an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth."

We are supposed to be the peaceful, loving Church.

Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, is OT Jewish law, and it also happens under Sharia law.

As for the Tribulation, if it is Post-Trib, I assume Christians will live like the original apostles when they were under persecution, times will probably be rougher, but we shouldn't have to fear death with Jesus in our hearts.

I AGREE. So then Jesus was WRONG when he instructed this followers to have a PURSE, a BAG, and a SWORD. -- So I guess the only question is whether we should burn ONLY the VERSE, or maybe the CHAPTER, or possibly the BOOK, or even the ENTIRE BIBLE.

Personally, if we can't TRUST Scripture to guide us, then burn the ENTIRE BIBLE.

2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

I FEAR DEATH! I REALLY don't want to have to kill someone who intends to do harm to me or my family. That would be the WORSE THING I could imagine. But if that's their intent, then we all choose. :)

The "sword" is "The word of God" I believe.

... then PLEASE explain away the PURSE and the BAG, and the PREVIOUS VERSE which includes PURSE, BAG, and SANDALS, or LACK ANYTHING:

Lke 22:35 When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.

You pick and choose what you want to accept and reject that which you can't explain, -- as though Scripture were a BUFFET LINE.

And so you can ...

... but back to the OP, -- can someone PLEASE explain why reading some THREE Chapters of Psalms (preferably MORE, to ensure CONTEXT) is a SIN? Because virtually EVERY CHRISTIAN IN THIS FORUM who's been challenged with that task has RUN FROM IT AS THOUGH IT WERE SATAN HIMSELF.

I thought this was quite a good explanation.

Well there seems to be a number of people here who think we might be in the Tribulation or they think they even know the year of Christ's return and when judgement day will happen.

There has been many failed predictions though of dates when Jesus Christ will return.

So does anyone really know but God?

I know. it was yesterday so if you are still here, you have missed out. Sorry about that. Perhaps you will make it on the second draft pick.

Another thing I was thinking about is that I use Linux distributions and one such distribution everyone kept bothering the developer when it would be ready and his response was "it will be ready when it's ready" and that is when God will come again when He is ready, not when everyone wants Him to :)

It more likely will wreck your current employment, comfort, and possibly existence, -- either as someone who is marytred and comes back to rule and reign for the thousand years; or someone who accepts the Mark of the Beast so that they can retain their employment, comfort, and possibly existence -- only to find that they WILL NOT enter the Millennial Kingdom.

We all make choices.
Bobby Jo
I agree with you even though many here think you're a tad rough around the edges. But if true, then true nevertheless. "Wreck" in this case I meant all the bickering and fighting. I wasn't worried the Lord would not take care of me. Human nature in me (and many of us) is that I had it harder as a kid until I found the Lord (or should say he found me). So the human expectation is "must we go through all this again?" feeling like we paid some sort of due going thru it once. But yes, there's nothing guaranteeing we won't. Nothing saying the battle-fatigued soldier won't lose a loved one tragically later in life and put him thru stuff again.
