Of course. It's called the 'morning after'.

There's extremism on both sides of the Christian aisle, when it come to perfectionism vs continued sinning.

On the perfectionist side is the notion that Christians should not get sick, unless they have sinned, as though all sickness is due to sinning, and sickness itself, or physical deformity and handicaps is some sort of sin. Jesus clears that foolishness up in John 9.

And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Obviously, we can get sick by sinful behavior, which is simple nature of reaping what we sow. If we abuse the body, then the body has a natural reaction to it. But the Bible never says all sickness is because of sinning.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

James is not saying anyone is sick only because of sinning. He is only saying that even if our sickness is a direct result of sinful behavior, then God can still graciously heal the sickness, as well as forgive the sin. Yes, God can heal the morning after blues and sickness, if He chooses.

Interesting enough, the extremist sinners on the other side one-up the perfectionists, by saying the natural bodies of all men actually die because of sin.

We can die and shorten our lifespan by sinful actions and living, but like sickness, not all men die directly because of sin. It's only natural for all flesh to suffer sickness and die in a natural world eventually. It's not a sin to be sick nor mortal.

The challenge is not whether we get sick and die or not, but how we handle it after a godly manner or not.
