But what we see is a push to make sins acceptable, and sometimes even promoted. How many have considered chastity? Not many in this day and age. I don't buy the self actualization rubbish in support of gay marriage, that is not valid justification for accepting something that is unbiblical.

Where would Jesus stand? He stood with the sinners who needed to repent! He did not stand with the proud, but he came to humble the proud and give grace to the humble.

Thank you so much for listening to the video. Im sure we were all happy that it was SHORT!! But then, I would'd hove posted a long one. :)
No one comes on a discussion Forum to listen to video's. lol

Excellent post. thank you.

I have been blessed by all the posts and interaction here, it has helped me a lot. I've been too flop floppy on the subject for too long.
Now I see how fast their cause is moving , I wanted a good, healthy, spiritual, balance going forward. ( I feel I was being somewhat seduced by the tolerant cries of we must "love, love love them" )
I think I have now come to see much clearer now with reading all these good posts. Which I believe I will read through again from the beginning...there is so much good wisdom in here now.
Thanks agin for yours.....

Every blessing....Helen.

I thought it was interesting that he claims to be a evangelist and yet he states we can't know where homosexuality comes from? It comes from sin and the fallen world we live in. Also interesting he didn't mention Romans 1:25-27...
They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

In the 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Paul even says that some of the people in the Corinth church were once homosexuals. (verse 11: And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

When people say that they were "born" gay, that is why you must be born again. We all must be born again!

Tony Campolo is heading up the (Red Letter) christian movement, that disregards scripture that wasn't spoken of by Jesus Christ in Red-Letters.

Tony Campolo is a "Wolf In Sheeps Clothing" and is a front runner in the subversive homosexual LGBT movement.

The Bible that condemns homosexuality in Romans 1:24-32 is of no importance to this movement, as they disregard it, because it wasn't from Jesus own words?

We know well God the Holy Spirit inspired the words in Romans, this is the platform of Campolo, and the homosexual agenda to normalize homosexuality.

Wikipedia: Red-Letter Christians constitute a non-denominational movement within Christianity. Proponents of the movement believe that Christianity, and especially evangelicalism, has been exploited by both right-wing and left-wing political movements and become too partisan and politicized. As a response they endeavor to create an evangelical movement that focuses on the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly in regard to social issues. The two most prominent figures associated with the movement are Jim Wallis and Tony Campolo.

"Red-Letter" refers to New Testament verses printed in red letters to indicate the actual words attributed to Jesus without the use of quotations (see Red letter edition). While many Christians throughout church history have defined themselves as emphasizing the teachings of Jesus, a modern movement was initiated by Wallis and Campolo, who felt the religious right spend too much time on two issues: abortion and homosexuality. They believe Christians should be promoting biblical values such as peace, building strong families, the elimination of poverty, and other important social justice issues.

I know for years he didn't used to be..he was at odds with his wife who was very left wing modernist...then I guess the "dripping tap" treatment worked...and he swung with her.

If that is what the red letter bible is all about...it must be a VERY skinny bible indeed!! :D
How stupidly foolish...can you even imagine a bible without the beloved Psalms and Hebrews, let alone all the lovely writings of Paul ....

More fools the deluded followers.
Surely he can't be Spirit filled can he? o_O

His big appeal is his intellectual, entertaining, way of preaching

It seems we are for sure in the days of- " If it were possible even the very elect would be deceived." And that is red-letter. :D

The Time Has Come, As Prophetic Scripture Is Fulfilled Before Our Eyes.

60 million unborn killed in the world annually, men marry men, Russia Is at Israels border, wars and rumors of wars, as the US moves its embassy to Jerusalem, Israel unleashes it greatest attack upon Iran in history on Syrian soil killing several?

The apostasy of the once professing church is in full display?

Luke 21:20KJV
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Keep your eyes open, Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies, and the man of peace will not be far behind, AKA "The Antichrist"!

2 Timothy 4:3-4KJV
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I agree that Campolo was somewhat orthodox some years back, there is money to be made in selling out to the homosexual agenda, in books, guest speaking, etc.

Telling the crowds what they want to hear $$$$$$$$ Money!

The Net Worths of These Richest Pastors in America Will Shock You

Tony Campolo
Considering Tony Campolo used to work as a spiritual advisor to Bill Clinton during his Presidency, you could say he was kind of a big deal. During his evangelical career, Campolo has created the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education (EAPE), has published numerous books and spends his time touring the country as a key speaker. All of this has led to an estimated net worth somewhere in the region of $4 million. Not bad at all.

Please don't post here unless you have actually listened to it .

It is only 30 mins long.

I'd like comment about this message...not just personal views on the subject.

Thanks...Helen.
Really, ByGrace? This guy is a SUPERSONIC liberal, a "Sociologist" - one trained in the art of biased, anti-white, anti-Christian fundamentalist, anti-American subjectivity masquerading as a legit profession, and a Catholic sympathizer. Sex between anyone other than married heterosexuals is condemned by God, period, and has no place in God's church, and this twisted presentation which attempts to shame and undermine our God-given directive to call sin by its rightful name is unacceptable. Jesus calls us to preserve the church from the corruption which so characterized the religious institution of His day and we don't accomplish that by promoting messages such as this which essentially call for acceptance of everything and anything EXCEPT the voices of those raised against sinful behavior.

I think long time friends...family members...and ex-gay Christians are the best equiped to minister to them. The rest of us are entitled to feel 'uncomfortable' in their presence, and while I think God expects us all to treat gay folk with the love, kindness, etc that Jesus would do in our place, we do not have to like them, nor be their friends. Even straight people can be obnoxious and we do not have to befriend such.

I agree Brake, I live in So Cal, the homosexual agenda tries to portray a poor innocent little me, just leave us alone, were not bothering anybody?

This is a big lie, as 90% of homosexuals I know are militant, in your face, it's my right, ill dance in the streets obscene, and push my agenda on your children in public schools.

I don't like that one bit, accounting for 90% that I know, outright war!

And....................................the classic wrap-up zinger "If you don't care about people...then don't talk to me about blah blah blah" ending. Taken directly from the same old, tired playbook of liberals where they subtly attack the opposition as "uncaring", "hateful", "bigoted", etc. It's like any TV or radio commercial:

"You're mean. You're bigoted. You're intolerant. And you know it. But, if you call right now we're offering for a limited time only our new and improved 'Stop Hate Plus with Liberal Tears Crystals' that can wipe out all that homophobic, xenophobic, and whatever else a-phobic in a flash! Operators are standing by..."

Step One: Pander to the victim-identifier emotions of your audience by first relating stories of gay hate and abuse at the hands of those who don't know Christ, no matter what they profess.

Step Two: Shift focus from the haters to the hated and whip up your audience into an emotional frenzy by simultaneously calling forth thoughts of sympathy and vicious indignation.

Step Three: (the hook) With sleight of hand, subtly lump in loving, God-fearing, followers of Jesus along with those who your audience is now ready to track down with torch and pitchfork in hand.

Step Four: Turn their torches and pitchforks solely on Christ's followers by accusing them of "hate", delegitimizing their positions, shutting down debate, and even weaponize the mob with the most potent battle implement of all - a misquoted, misinterpreted Bible.

Thank you. And thanks for your response. :)

Yes agree.
Among Christians it seems, that those I know fall either left or right of the line.
Nice to see that some do have the true balance and the straight line to walk.

Maybe other haven't....but I have found this subject somewhat of a mine field.

Thanks....Helen

Amen. That's hits the nail.

But, with the left pushing everything anti-christian....how on earth can we wake Christians up to the dangers of - Grace with no accountability.

It seems "Love" is now being uses as a weapon now AGAINST us!!!o_O
Are you getting this feeling too?

Yes, we are called to love at all costs as Jesus loved. But I see the subtlety of the Enemy here....any overbalance , is error!!
And the trap has been set...and in many churches, sprung!!

Very good post.
I only just read it after I posted mine to truth7t7
I was saying the same, but you said it better... they are trying to squeeze us to death with the cry "Intolerance."
Any freedom of speech ( except the all embracing) will be gone.

Almost a case of "speak now or forever hold your peace".

I am new to this site and after checking out a number of forums found this thread which looked very interesting.

I started out my Chistian walk in a very conservative church and was taught the same stuff that nearly all the posters in this thread have. It took a lot of time and many blows to my pride in order to learn to study OBJECTIVELY. We may not realize it but we are constantly being spiritualy injected with something that is causing an increase in unhealthy pride. This has caused a blinding effect to the point where, I would say 95% of Christians think they know what the Koine Greek word pornia means, but really don't. The speaker in that video said something truly profound. That those who are so against gays and lesbians being allowed to marry, are totally accepting their own who are divorced and remarried and Jesus did say something about that marriage issue.

You very obviously did NOT listen to the video.
Therefore you have nothing to say here.
I guess I will be joining this group and not listening either. BTW anyone posting a video should also provide a summation of the content for discussion. Not all will sit and listen to videos (myself included).
