Are you a believer on Jesus of Nazareth as The Christ, as your Saviour? Do you believe He shed His blood on His cross for the remission of sins for those who believe, offering eternal life through Him? Do you believe He is your Mediator to The Father in your behalf? Do you believe He is your High Priest and that you do not need any other priest? So do you, do you believe that The Father raised Jesus from the dead, and sat Him on the right hand of His Throne in Heaven, still expecting, until His enemies be made His footstool? Do you believe Jesus will return how He ascended into Heaven, and reign over all nations with a rod of iron (Acts 1; Zecharian 14; Revelation)?

IF... you believe all that, and then get baptized, then you have accepted The New Covenant of His Blood sacrificed for you, also called "the new testament" in God's Word.

That is what the "everlasting covenant" mentioned in God's Word is about...

Heb 13:20
20 Now the God of peace, That brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, That great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
KJV

Matt 26:27-28
27 And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, 'Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
KJV

That is when God's New Covenant Church under Christ Jesus began, at Christ's death and resurrection. That is when it was sealed and put into effect for all those who believe on Him.

Did that include a remnant of Israel under that New Covenant? Let's see... (to be continued)...

Israel and the Church are already in The New Covenant today.

Just because not all the seed of Israel have believed on Jesus Christ, that does not mean The New Covenant through Christ's Blood was made of none effect. In layman's terms, the unbelieving cannot stop God's offer of Salvation through His Son Jesus The New Covenant. The unbelievers are simply 'cut off' from that Salvation, unless they repent and turn to Christ, and believe. The time when it is too late to believe on Jesus is not yet. We still have Christ's future "thousand years" to go that will begin at His future return.

The Promise:

The first part of the Promise God gave to Abraham was that He would given Abraham and his seed the lands of Canaan for an inheritance (Genesis 12). Did you know that is part of The Gospel Promise through Christ Jesus? This is why Apostle Paul would say in Galatians 3 that those of Faith inherit with faithful Abraham. This Promise would involve other things God said He would given to Abraham and his seed after him. The main idea it involves, is The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Yes, this is The Gospel of Jesus Christ given even in Abraham's day.

In Genesis 15, Abram reminded The LORD that he had no son to inherit after him. God then promised Abram a son out of his own loins, and that his seed would be as many as the stars. That's another part of The Promise to Abraham. Abram believed God, and God counted to him as righteousness. That is what makes this Promise by Faith, and not of works, and that is why it is about The New Covenant, The Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is to those who believe.

In Genesis 17, to Abram again, God says his new name will be Abraham, for He has made him a father of many nations. God said He would establish His covenant between Abraham and his seed for an 'everlasting covenant'. This is where some get off track and start applying this "everlasting covenant" to the old covenant which would be given 430 years after this (see Galatians 3). When our Heavenly Father is telling Abraham that He will establish His covenant with Abraham and his seed, He uses the idea of 'everlasting', meaning The Gospel Promise which is everlasting. He is not... pointing to the old covenant which was only temporary until Jesus' death and resurrection, so trying to apply the idea of 'everlasting' to the old covenant is definitely a huge... mistake that no believer on Christ Jesus should ever do.

Then in Genesis 17 God also promises Abraham a son, and to call his name Isaac, and that God would establish His covenant with Isaac after him. This shows The Gospel Promise would continue through Abraham's son Isaac. And so far, the Promise is about the land inheritance, the blessing of a seed as many as the stars, and of course the idea of 'everlasting', which is pointing to God's Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ per The New Covenant which is by Faith.

In Genesis 22, God calls out to Abraham and gives him more of the Promise, because Abraham didn't withhold his son Isaac when God tested his faithfulness. God then promised all nations would be blessed through Abraham, and that his seed would possess the gate of his enemies. That means the going to and from of Abraham's enemies, giving military power to defeat his enemies.

In Genesis 25, Isaac takes a wife and two children are in her womb that struggle. She prays to God about it and is told there are two nations, two manner of people in her womb, one stronger than the other, and the younger will be over the elder. This was about Jacob (younger) and his brother Esau (elder). This is when the concept of God's Birthright begins being revealed. Even as the elder child is to possess the birthright from the father, so also there is a Birthright from God to His chosen of Israel, and it involves the Promise I've been covering, first given to Abraham. Isaac, was next to receive it as shown in Genesis 17:19. In Genesis 26:24, God blessed Isaac in the same promise of seed He first gave to Abraham, showing a transfer of God's Birthright blessing to Isaac.

In Genesis 25 also, Esau being a hunter of the field, could not find meat, and Jacob had a pot of lentiles cooking. Esau told Jacob to feed him, and Jacob said for Esau to sell his 'birthright' and he'd give him something to eat. Esau did this, profaning God's Birthright, because this Birthright was not just some simple thing of inheriting money. It was about inheriting God's Promise first given through Abraham which included what again? inheritance of the lands of Canaan, blessing of seed as many as the stars, and rule over the gates of his enemies. With this situation between Jacob and Esau, the blessing of food aplenty will be added to this Birthright from God.
