LIFE IN THE MILLENNIUM

The plagues through the tribulation and the great earthquake that caused the cities of the nations to fall, will cause such great devastation upon the earth that civilization as we know it will cease. No technology, no fuel, no food production, no medical facilities, no businesses of any kind, all will have crumbled, obliterated. There will be only few people upon the earth after the plagues, mass killings and persecutions.

Life in the millennium will have to start from the basics - agriculture and working together in family groups. There will be no more wars, so the weapons will be made into farm implements.

` They shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nations shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.` (Micah 4: 3)

`They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit....` (Isa. 65: 21)

People will have to learn to work together to rebuild houses and dwelling places. Then over time some of the cities will be repaired by the generations that follow.

`And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.` (Isa. 61: 4)

`They shall build houses and inhabit them; ...` (Isa. 65: 21)

Many people will come to Israel and work for them, as they realise the blessing of the Lord is upon the nation of Israel.

`Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigner shall be your ploughmen and your vine-dressers.` (Isa. 61: 5)

Over time people will live longer as there will be no wars, and life is centred round outdoor healthy living. People will learn of the ways of the Lord from the priests, and thus there will not be so much anxiety and stress.

`No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; for the child shall die one hundred years old, .....for as the days of a tree so shall be the days of my people, and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.` (Isa. 66: 22 & 23)

I thought God was going to remake the earth

Isa 65:17
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Thank you for your thoughts. Now I will try an answer your questions.

1. Isa. 65: 17 tells us what God has planned, (in the future) however He said `BUT ...` telling us that BEFORE the new heavens and new earth God is going to do something else. See further down, v. 20 that tells us that a child shall die.... yet live a long life.

2. The `catching away,` will happen before the judgments upon the rebellious, (tribulation), the `wicked` (2 Thess. 2: 8)

3. The Parable of the Tenants, refers to Israel and when they killed Jesus. The inheritance to Israel will be for those in Israel when the Jesus comes to deliver them at the battle of Armageddon.

4. The Body of Christ is another group that the Lord has purposes for. We are of Abraham`s seed - the Lord. The promise is for His Holy Spirit. (Gal. 3: 14)

The resurrection has not happened. Christ is still our High Priest making intercession for us.

There is an earthly 1k yr long reign with Him. You may take that physically or spiritually, I don’t care. But it’s prophesied to happen and is future because the restoration of all things has not happened yet. You’ll never convince anyone to your side with those statements. You just cause a defense. Why can't we be reigning now? Are we meant to be reigning now?
If we are called to overcome in life now, then we should be able to reign now.

How are we meant to reign over unbelievers? Do we have authority to beat them into submission somehow or do we set an example for them to follow through the exercising of their own faith? I think the latter must apply because without faith it is impossible to please God.
A glorified reign of the Lord and us is not going to help them is it.

Why can't we be reigning now? Are we meant to be reigning now?
If we are called to overcome in life now, then we should be able to reign now.

Jeff, Why can’t we be reigning now? If we are reigning now, then Christ is reigning with us. And if that were true, the Kingdoms of this world would be his. And if that were true, the man of sin would already be destroyed. And if that were true, the church would be married and the resurrection would have happened and all Israel would be saved. And if that were true…why hasn’t any of that happened? Because we are not reigning yet.
