Anyone can defend to their death a statement like 'well imo there really cant be any wrong answers to "what does 'the faith' mean to you'.
That stance would never be persecuted to one's death in a pluralistic world as Christians were in the 1st Century. It molds itself to the winds of the season, convictionless, pliable, perilously drifting towards the crags of Relativism.

the premise is why can’t their be a unity

seems most think it is because certain churches think they are the true church and all others are wrong

And we see this holds true.

They may be individually wrong but The Church is never wrong. Example: Peter was wrong at the Council of Jerusalem but those men, when they came together as The Church, we’re not wrong. Acts 15:1-18

That’s the point. They can disagree with us. But they have to consider what we say may be true. Because it can not be proven either way

The dividing line (and why there is no Unity) is Sola Scriptura. Most of the stuff they hold to, is a result of deviating from Scripture and instead, heading to Tradition, something Jesus rebuked the Saducees and Pharisees for.

I'm still looking for a verse that says we can pray to those who have passed on (Jesus not included), or at least an example of such.

Just as soon as it is shown hat the Bible contains everything and that St. Paul's instruction were not true when he said keep everything we taught you written and oral and that the Church is not the pillar and foundation of truth.

The word church literally means a gathering.

It is associated with a group of city churches.

It consists of all people who are born again.

It has names like the churches of rome, the churches of Ephesus etc. In revelation is spoke of 7 churches. not one church.
