so i kinda skipped to the end here A…any word yet?
My primary care doctor said that the PET test would show a much darker red in the scan for a definite cancer. No redness at all would mean definitely benign.

My PET was in between... that is a medium redness which means, as he admitted, he did not know for sure which is why he is referring me to a specialist. He mentioned that the specialist might only do a biopsy or he might go ahead and do a surgery to remove it. When I see the specialist he being more knowledgeable will discuss it more fully and give me some definite options. I want it done, one way or the other, but my wife is afraid it will be the worst and has already broken down into tears. I advised her that sooner or later, one way or the other, my time was coming. We have been together close to 50 years and so I understand, but it is what it is. I told her to prepare herself for the worst and maybe it won't be so bad after all this time. God knows.

My daughter who is an RN working as a surgical nurse in our one and only local hospital plans to go to the appointment with me to be certain we understand better what is happening and help me to know as much as possible, the truth of the thing. The primary care doctor only called me yesterday, so we won't even know when the appointment with the specialist will be until next week.

Hi, this is John's wife. While still in shock, I have notified people across the US of John's situation and asked for prayer. In praying, I ask that you not just ask for healing or a permissive will of God, but for the Perfect will of God. Above all else, God knows best.

Thinking of you Amadeus. I’m speechless, or wordless…I get the we are to rejoice in all circumstances but that is not always easy in sorrow. I feel for your wife. And for you. Hoping for good news either way. I can name several who received the diagnosis of cancer and was told the outcome looked grim…but they are still here. Some many years later. One(in his eighties) is not only in remission but the bone cancer he was told is gone.

I have seen many of them with cancers and other life taking illness. Sometimes it was time and sometimes not.

One dear sister had a tumor in her brain which was malignant. People all over the country were praying for her. God healed her. The tumor could not be found by the doctors at all.

She lived for a few more years providing her family the opportunity to enjoy more time with her. Finally cancer came back in exactly the same place. The doctors this time determined it was inoperable and she passed away finally from this life. But... what a mighty God we serve!

I have heard testimony from some, one with advanced prostate cancer, how their cancers were destroyed through massive amounts of vitamin C, and/or high heat treatments. Very high heat as in almost unbearably hot sauna treatment, then ice baths repeated. These have long been known as healthful, but their actual healing powers underplayed or downright vilified by conservative orthodoxy.

the verse of the day on my app this morning. Psalm 94:19 In the multitude of my (anxious) thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. ❤️

Hello @amadeus

How precious it is to know that you are a 'son' of God, in Christ Jesus, and that you have such a glorious hope in Him. That you and your wife are being upheld and strengthened by God in this life, and have the hope of life eternal in the resurrection life to come.

Reading this thread has been a joy, and I do thank you for sharing as you have, and for all those who have responded, and given God the glory.

May God's perfect will be done both in and through you, that His Name be glorified.

Within the love of Christ our Saviour,
our Lord and Head.
