Our local thrift shop has a section for used books! All paperbacks $1 each. I love used-book stores. I can usually find one or two interesting books each time I visit. I haven't dropped by since, what, before this covid mess hit. Too long. It's Saturday and too cold to do anything outside. I think I'll pop in this afternoon.
The thrift shop is the only place close by that sells used books. We used to have a really good used-book store 10 minutes away that was a delight to hang out in for an hour or so, but Amazon has put all but the big book chains like Barnes and Noble out of business. Bummer. The closest shop with any decent selection now is almost an hour's drive away.
