Of course Grace does not give us a “ license to sin”, but there are Foolish Believers out there that think they will give it a Whirl ......and God knows how to give them an “ Attitude Adjustment”.
“ Grace” is just God’s Love and Mercy in Action......It is the Love That takes Dead , Rebellious Enemies and forgives ALL of their Sins “ for Jesus Sake”, and He does this because it gives HIM Pleasure to give “ Us” Pleasure.
Jesus died for ALL of our sins......not just Past ones. THAT would not do an ounce of good for Anybody....That is because you and I and everybody alive today is Sinning every hour of every day ! Disagree? How's your “ thought life?” Had Any impure thoughts lately? God declares if you have a lustful thought you are no better than an Adulterer—— how ya doin’ with that one? James said if you break just ONE Commandment , you have broken them all! Would you care to discuss the dreaded “ Sins Of Omission” That Legalist never want to talk about? How many strangers have you invited into your homes to feed and clothe today? Wouldn’t that be a good thing to do? If you Know Of something “ good” to do and don’t “ do” it.....you are Sinning....
Everywhere we turn to try to Justify ourselves as to being “ Fit For Heaven” by our performances , we just run into a Dead End.....we just can’t Make ourselves “ Worthy” Of Eternal Life. God has you and I Trapped like Rats! The only thing left for us to do is finally come to “and end of ourselves” ( btw...That was the purpose of the Law ) , swallow our Pride and thank God for His Gospel Of Grace found in 1Cor15:1-4, that Will SAVE All that will Rest in it and it ALONE for their Salvation....
Colossians 2:13.....” You were Dead in Sins and God made you Alive with Christ—- He Forgave us ALL of our Sins”
When you finally give up on performance for your Salvation, your Performance will actually improve—- Christianity is funny like that.Full Of Irony Regardless , use God’s Formula if you want to get Saved....Put your Faith in HIS Performance! HIS Gospel ! Christ’s Blood and your Faith in that Blood—- Plus NOTHING.Don’t Find out when it’s too late that the Old sing had it right all along. It really is , “ NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD.” Salvation is a GIFT......we don’t EARN it.....we ACCEPT it! “ THAT” is what Grace is. The UNMERITED Favor Of God.......
,
Once a man is forgiven through the shed blood of Christ, he is free to walk in and be led of the Holy Spirit.
At this point, he is no longer condemned by his failures; but when the Holy Spirit leads him to do something that is according to His will, he can do that thing. And if he doesn't, he remains forgiven.
But more and more, he finds that when given the opportunity to do what is right, he does it; because in that he is not obligated by the commandment but is rather motivated by love to keep it, he ends up obeying the Lord more and more because it is not a matter of "have to" but of "want to" in his life...
Thus the righteousness of the law is fulfillable in him.... because he finds that he is indeed obedient for that he is not obligated to do what is right but rather is motivated by love to do it.
The love of the Lord is shed abroad in his heart (Romans 5:5) and he walks according to love....against which there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23).
So he is uncondemnable on two levels...on the one hand, he is forgiven of past, present and future sins through Christ's shed blood; and on the other, he is now an obedient child of God because he has been given the love of God and walks according to it...having been forgiven much, he loves much (Luke 7:36-50); and this love is the fulfilling of the righteousness of the law within him. And since sin is the transgression of the law (Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4), fulfilling the righteousness of the law means that he "doth not commit sin" and "cannot sin" (1 John 3:9)....as long as he abides in Christ he "sinneth not" (1 John 3:6); for sin is also no longer imputed to him (Romans 4:8, Romans 4:15, Romans 5:13) for that he is not under the law, is dead to the law, and is delivered from the law (Romans 6:14, Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19, Romans 7:6; Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, Hebrews 7:18-19).
He "sinneth not" on two levels, therefore:
1) sin is not imputed to him; and,
2) he doesn't sin in the practical sense for the most part.
