Can anyone shed some light on where it originates from? Why it was chosen for this forum or what criteria was used to make the choice? Everything happens for a reason.
Thanks.

It is called a *Triquetra Symbol* and is associated with New Age and occultic symbols.

Triquetra Symbol
Triquetra means “triangle” or “three” (tri-) “cornered” (Quetrus). It is made up of three intersecting vesica Pisces. The Vesica Pisces is the shape created by the intersection of two congruent circles. A triquetra symbol is sometimes interlaced with a circle...
Triquetra Symbol

The New King James Version (NKJV) -- which I do NOT recommend -- has this symbol on its cover. Thomas Nelson Publishers claimed that it represented the Holy Trinity, but that is not correct. The New Age book -- The Aquarian Conspiracy, also has this symbol on its cover.

As to why it is used on christianityboard.com, you will have to ask one of the moderators.

I love the logic here. It is a symbol traced back to as far as 500 BC, yet we quake at it being "New Age." LOL
