I am deeply troubled by certain folk who believe they know Jesus and call the people of God hypocrites, liars
deceivers, evil and some say the worst of the worst, worse than murderers.

The problem is their theology and self view. They accept they are sinners, sinning daily, defeated, enslaved
and nothing they do is good. They described their deeds as menstrual clothes in front of God.

Now as a child of God, I am washed, redeemed, cleansed, forgiven, made whole, purified, Holy, so Holy the
Holy Spirit dwells within me. The praise of my heart is to Christ my saviour, for He has called me into His
Kingdom. Now these folk will openly declare I am wrong, not praising God, my love is hate, and I am something
they must oppose like an enemy.

I know though God is at work in my heart, and His work and His life is the light of life that flows from me,
and all who walk in His ways. We literally do not want mentrual clothes, or believe God regards our work
in Him as sinful and fallen, but rather eternal and of great praise to His name.

So in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I declare God has redeemed us and called us Holy as we walk
by His power in His ways and love, and this is the road to salvation. You can keep your menstrual clothes
and your confusion and condemnation and go where you yourselves declare your state, not acceptable to
God and so under judgement.

John was very specific

11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
3 John 1

7 He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
1 John 3

Put simply those who say they know they sin and can do nothing about it, have condemned themselves
as being not of God. John calls such sinful behaviour of the devil.

So those who claim so much though their lives declare the opposite should fear what they claim.

So lost was one leader of a church, by praising the Lord in posts I was being artifical and boasting.
Unfortunately they were obviously cynical and unhappy, and everyone who was not like them must
be faking it. I get this sometimes from my kids in the morning when I am praising God and they are
in a grump.

Paul calls us to rejoice in everything, literally to praise God for His blessing. To condemn a brother
or sister for praising God, shows the state of ones heart and not the person praising Him.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4

Anyone speaking like that is NOT saved and needs to repent. Only those who obey the Gospel as saved.

We need to focus on what God and Christ have accomplished for our eternal salvation. Does the Bible clearly say that eternal life is God's gift to the one who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ? Read John 3:16 and Acts 16:31.
I agree.
One who believes on the Lord Jesus has eternal life.

Believes...
Not believed.

You can be a heaven bound Christian for 50 years and then one day the Holy Spirit reveals something that you need to change in your life...working on Sabbath, whatever. If you keep doing it, you will eventually cease to hear the Holy Spirit's voice (burning out the conscience) and no longer feel the impression of the Holy Spirit to change (quenching of the Spirit) and you will be lost for all eternity.
This is false and unbiblical. We do not need hypothetical worst-case-scenarios which do not reflect Scripture.

We have plenty of Bible passages which show us that God does NOT allow His children to continue sinning wilfully. He has several remedies for that, including premature death. But that does not mean that a child of God LOSES his or her salvation (which is God's gift). Let's take just one passage:

1 CORINTHIANS 11
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation [judgment]* to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

*Strong's Concordance
krima: a judgment
Original Word: κρίμα, ατος, τό
Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter
Transliteration: krima
Phonetic Spelling: (kree'-mah)
Definition: a judgment
Usage: (a) a judgment, a verdict; sometimes implying an adverse verdict, a condemnation, (b) a case at law, a lawsuit.

Paul is actually refuting you in verse 32:But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. "That we should not be condemned with the world" means "the unbelieving world" which faces eternal damnation.

So the teaching above is that Christians who do not examine their hearts (and address their present sins) before partaking of the Lord's Supper are making themselves SUBJECT TO GOD'S JUDGMENT (short of damnation, which word should not have been used in v 29). This chastening by God may result in (1) physical weakness, (2) sickness, and (3) premature physical death (metaphorically called *sleep*).

That all sounds wonderful and loving and gracious, but it glosses over and repeats the error of our forefathers in the faith.

Surely, you are kind and it is appreciated, but in all of that you said you "acknowledge the differences" and "don't want to say it is wrong"...but also that you "doubt deeply that I am right", and yet give no indication that you are treating things different as they are written, nor have you given any scripture to support you not doing so.

I am very patient. Are all your works in Christ dirty rags? Is nothing that is Gods work in your life worthy
of praise or joy in heaven? Is Jesus so weak and ineffectual He cannot deliver you from sin and death, but
must cover you as if you are not a sinner while you remain one?

The problem with evil people, is they have no platform or foundation.
16 The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
17 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.
18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
James 5

James is saying we are like Elijah, righteous in Jesus. God listens to us.
If one is in unresolved and unrepentant sin, one is lost without foundation and without God able to
listen to you. The fruit of repentance is the fruit God expects or He will cut down the tree.
If the tree is bad and produces only bad fruit it is lost.

No wonder these folk hate so much the people of God and their stand, because their whole walk
is a sinful walk caught in unbelief and lack of cleansing. And I now have no time for such as these
for their condemnation is in their own mouths.

That's a given. No *Eureka* here.

Sadly there are folk who argue to their last breadth, once some faith even if lost they are still
secure in Christ. So this has to be stated to cover this heresy of unbelief is ok if a flash of faith
has happened at some point in ones life. God bless you

It's physical.
When we die as BELIEVERS, we are alive with Christ immediately.

Your post 224 must wait till tomorrow...
almost 1 a.m. here.
So, those who live and believe in Jesus will never die physically?

You said, "when we die as believers" which indicates that there is physical death awaiting the believer who doesn't get raptured.

And which also indicates that the fact that we "shall never die" is referring to spiritual death.

And we know also that, of course, every believer who has ever lived since Jesus has died physically; and therefore it is not talking about physical death (and therefore is talking about spiritual death); or else that scripture isn't true.

I'm sorry JBF...it's really late here and I can't go back and check what I said...
but I don't agree with any of the above.......
so there's some misunderstanding that I just can't check right now.

Good night.

Christians that examine their conscience are saved Christians because they care about their conscience.

BTW, one can only trust the conscience IF it is properly trained.

OSAS is a false teaching embraced by many who seek to obtain by dead faith that which can only be obtained by living faith: eternal life.

See Revelation 19:8.

So you agree that if one stops believing, he also stops being saved and becomes lost again?

2 Peter 2:19-21

We are saying that if someone truly believes, they have a spiritual life that will never end.

If they merely "believed", then their faith was nominal, lukewarm, or shallow...mere mental assent to the tenets of the gospel.

There's worse ideas taught with it though, like there's never ever anymore need to confess future sins to Jesus and ask Him forgiveness, because they're told we cannot sin anymore after having believed on Jesus.

GOD SAIDS; you are all sinners. None of you are any good. When he died we were forgiven for all sins. Except the taking of the Mark of the Beast. 666 on our head or hand. He also freed us of guilt and shame. No other man has an Eternal Living God to forgive them of their sins except the "sons of God." Born again Christians. Brothers to the first Son of God. Yahshua! "None of you are good. All are sinners." Yet. No others can be forgiven with Satan, of the "liars, thieves and murderers", john 8:44, jews=1750 frauds=Pharisees of Phariseeism, Edomites, Canaanites, Ishmaelites,- Arabs who murdered Christ. None of the 12 sins of Jacob, 12 Tribes of Israel. God's, only, Chosen. Matt 15;24 "I come only for the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel". These were those god promised Abraham."Where ever your "seed" go into the world the world will be blessed." Why did Jesus say this then? He had 12 Israelites of several of the Tribes who would have to be replaced "to take the Good News into "the world of the devil". Missionaries!Neither of the other 2 races, Oreintal, S African were chosen to take the god News=Christianity into the to teach and redeem, by the Redeemer, the Lost Sheep of the House of Isreal who would teach allthe "mixed seed", none white "sons of the devil" beginning with the "liars, thieves and murderers", Pharisees=jews=1750 frauds=jews put in bible, the 1787 Rheim NT=fraud by the Popery of Catholicism=fraud. an 350 AD invention of the "liars"=jews=Pharisees. "Sons of the devil." There is only One Truth and Law. Yah. He is the Promise Keeper. jim

I agree. POTS is more accurate; and is substantiated by comparing 1 John 2:17 and 1 John 3:6.

Good gravy, WHERE do you find a text that says "premature death" is used to as a measure to save anyone who has turned from following God? The moment they turn from God they have stepped outside from His umbrella of grace and only by MERCY does God allow them time to hear His pleadings to return to Him before they drift beyond the reach of His voice!
