hammerstone locked a thread where the topic had moved to an issue that i need 3 questions answered by the RCC adherants. they are:
#1. how could Peter install Clement as the 3rd or 4th 'bishop' of the church in Rome when he died 30 years earlier? Such an act would remove ther authority from the 2-3 'bishops' in between them.
#2. how could Peter be the 1st 'bishop' of the church in Rome when it was established and running long before both Peter and Paul arrived in the city?
#3. How could there be an unbroken line of succession of bisops when the christians were persecuted from Nero on up to Constantine and christianity was illegal?
i would like honest answers supported by legitimate, credible sources and not the rcc catechism or rcc websites alone.
