Faith to become a SON of God.

Abraham believed God, and God accepted this FAITH...

He accepted Faith..

"faith is counted AS Righteousness". "justification BY faith".

Listen reader.....we dont have any righteousness for God to accept.....so, he accepts our FAITH in the RIGHTEOUS ONE, to accept us.

What is this Acceptance?

Its God's blood and death, that is Christ on the Cross. This is being ACCEPTED by GOD, on our behalf, because we gave God our FAITH in Christ THE Savior.

God says...: "you take my Son, i make you my Son".
God says ...: "you take Jesus, and i will take you".

See that FAITH?.....God accepts that to have us, and keep us......to give us the new birth, as "born again".

Simply put.....God gives the Cross as our forgiveness, when we give God our Faith in Jesus who died for us on The Cross.

God gives us HIS Righteousness, because Jesus became our sin, and was judged for them all, on The Cross.

See, we have nothing that God will accept, as we are sinners, damned.
So, God died on the Cross to give Himself what HE can Accept...... to accept us.
See, God is not accepting us, He is accepting His own blood and death given on the Cross....on our behalf.
Salvation, is God taking us into His Family based only on what God did for us on the Cross.
No water need apply.
No commandment keeping need apply.
Only the blood and death of Jesus, will God accept, to accept YOU.

And to GET that Applied to you, so that you become God's son, is to give God your FAITH that He did this for you.

That is FAITH, that God accepts., and if you give Him your Faith in His Son, He will make you His Son by this...>"born again".

And to be told He did this for us, is to hear the GOSPEL. And to share this message is to "preach the Cross".

"the preaching of The Cross, is the power of God, unto Salvation".

He accepted Faith..

Abraham was not justified by faith when God First appeared to him, nor was he justified in all those years waiting for Isaac to finally be born, and grow up.

Abraham was not justified by his faith UNTIL he obeyed God and went up the mountain with Isaac to sacrifice him. per James 2, verses 21, 22, 23, and 24:

Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?

Abraham’s works in fact modified his faith, and PERFECTED his faith, and then he was justified:

Jas 2:22 You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works.

It was his faith in combination with his works that perfected his faith and justified him:

Jas 2:23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God.

And just to drive home the fact that faith and works together justify us, it further states:

Jas 2:24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

To review: Abraham believed God for decades from the time God spoke to him until Isaac was born and grew up, but he was not justified by his faith UNTIL he took Isaac up the mountain - and it’s the combination of his faith and works that justified him, not faith alone, and not works alone.

Abraham was not justified until he obeyed God

Abraham is the Father of our Faith. "the father of all who believe". Romans 4
Abraham's faith, is proven by what He was willing to do.....however, its because he already had the Faith that God accepted to accept him, that he proved his faith.

Here is the thing you need to realize....... its this.
God sees inside you., Curtis.
He sees your THOUGHTS and He knows your heart.

This means that right now, God sees your THINKING......

So, before Abraham went up the hill, God had already SEEN the faith, in Abraham's heart, and that is why Abraham's Faith was accepted, was "counted as righteousness"......already.

Think of it like this.
When you go to the Cross, to receive Christ, you bring with you, a lifetime of sin.....of sinning.
You didnt stop, years ago.......you were sinning till God SAVED YOU.

See that?

Its this.>"God commendenth his love toward us, .. .in that WHILE WE ARE STILL SINNERS......Christ died for us".

What does that mean? It means that God justifies the UNGODLY........not the Godly.
God saves SINNERS, not the righteous.

So, our works are not a part of WHY God Saves us, which explains that they are not a part of why God keeps us saved.

God only accepts us and keeps us, based on Christ's Blood and Death that is God's sacrifice for us.
Its by the Sacrifice of ONE that many are made righteous.....and that one Is not YOU and your WORKS.

The GOSPEL.....(Paul's) is "the preaching of the Cross", as its by these words being preached, as the Gospel, that "faith comes by hearing" the "preaching of the Cross', and as many as will BELIEVE......God gives to them, "the Gift of Salvation" and "the Gift of righteousness".
