"Grace"..

This is a word that is used a lot regarding Christians.
Yet, more often then not, its not where they exist spiritually or mentally, or by faith.

Grace, is something that only God gives.
Its supernatural.
Its literally the Love of God as expressed as mercy, redemption, peace, and hope.

Grace is not something that a human being connects with, naturally.
Its foreign to us, as Grace is God ordained. God Created.
What we understand as a reality..... is law.
We understand DOING, and we have a hard time accepting RECEIVING.
The natural mind does not relate to or embrace God's "Grace" naturally.
Our natural mind, is only connected to Law, effort, and performance. = earning.

The natural mind thinks like this...

We do good, we get good.
We do bad, we get bad.

God's Grace is not connect to our doing.
Its only connected to God's mercy and God's Gift.

God's Grace is represented as ..."The prodigal son returned and the Father ran out to meet him, and gave him the BEST".
Did he earn it?
Did he deserve it?
Yet it was the Father's LOVE that only wanted to GIVE and did not require.....

So, Grace, is GOD giving the best to the worst as God's Mercy, or as the NT teaches.>"while we were YET Sinners, Christ died for us".
Not once we stopped.
Not once we lived right for 23 yrs, first.
But "while we were YET sinners" = God's Grace came to meet us at the Cross.
Or as the NT teaches.... "to them that worketh NOT" "but believeth on God who Justifies the UNGODLY".
Notice...."ungodly".
Not the hard worker, or the one doing his or her best.
But God's Grace.....is his eternal mercy invested in the UNGODLY.
Its Christ dying for His ENEMIES.
Its God's Blood shed for the sin of the world.
See that?
God's Grace, which is both God's love and God's mercy, isn't conditional.
God's mercy isn't based on your effort, its based on God's LOVE.

Our natural mind conflicts with the idea that the worst can be given the best, and there is no effort required, =no earning, no performing, just receiving.
Yet, that is How God's Love, exits as GRACE.
It exists ONLY as Mercy, and this mercy is extended to everyone as a GIFT..
"The Gift of Salvation"
"The Gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS".

Grace is God's mercy freely given, no strings attached, no self effort accepted.
Grace is God's Love, and God's Love is unconditional.
Jesus is GOD's Grace.

Yes, the Grace of God reaches out to people where they are. No one is justified by their own keeping of the law. Only through the Atonement of Christ can our sin be forgiven. How does God "justify the ungodly"? By Atonement. If our past sins are forgiven, the Christian has no sin left that says that they are "ungodly."

"while we were YET Sinners, Christ died for us". Not once we stopped."

Unfortunately, you twist what it is saying.

Notice... "YET."

While we were "YET" sinners, means "While we were STILL sinners." This was written to Christians. It implies that they are NO LONGER SINNERS. Yep! They STOPPED!

It is presumption to say that justification and salvation are theological fictions. That such a justification does is not manifested in a change in the Believer. "Grace" is not calling something "holy" when it is not.

You try to appear to find clarification and meaning in words, but seem to purposely convolute them to the point that they have no meaning.

Grace is not Mercy, and Mercy is not Grace.

Yes, just by crying out to Jesus and repenting, Acts 2:38, we are cleansed/justified of all our past sin, and given a new nature by the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are no longer sinners, we are children of God who are free from the carnal desire to sin.

Grace is the divine power of God. 2 Peter 1:2-4

The blasphemy to teach that the grace of God lets us sin as usual, and God won't care is heresy. Jesus only has your past sin, reconciling us to a Holy God that SIN separated us from. We must be born again! Born powerful and righteous by the Spirit.

I quoted the Verse, as Paul wrote it.
You have a problem with that?....
Listen, on the day a person is born again, they are a sinner, sinning, and damned.... John 3:36.
They do not clean up or become holy, so that God will then save them...
Instead while they are UNGODLY< God's Grace reaches them with the Blood of Jesus and they become "the gift of Righteousness".
1 Second ago, they were the devil's child, hell bound, and un-holy, and NEXT...... through the effect of the Blood Atonement, they are MADE as righteous as God Himself.
In less then 5 seconds, they believed on Christ, God accepted their faith, and gave them the New Birth.
So, in that few seconds, we see the miracle of """the Gift of Salvation""" as God applies it to everyone who has ever been born again.

And so the mind must be renewed to stop thinking in terms of good and evil, and start thinking in terms of life and love!

Grace is not Mercy, and Mercy is not Grace.

Agreed. Here are some useful definitions.
MERCY: Withholding a negative consequence that is earned.
JUSTICE: Getting what is earned.
GRACE: Getting a positive consequence that is NOT earned.

No one deserves to be saved. It is freely given to us even though we do not deserve it and could never pay for.

God's offer of Salvation is always being offered to the Lost.
All the lost are "Ungodly". All the Saved are the "unGodly" now redeemed by the blood of Jesus and "made Righteous".

""""""""But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:= for God is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.""""""

Every time I read your Posts, i say to myself, "you got that start right, But that grace never grows". It is like the seed is right and germinated, but the plant never grows nor is it properly watered.... Do you understand? It's like stubble, with little or no growth. In the above, for example it seems you think that at the moment of salvation, God's grace is complete and his work in us is complete, But in reality this is just the beginning. HE works in us, we do no work, But throughout this time HIS Grace grows in us, and he takes these earthen vessels and sanctifies them for His Holy Purposes. This is all built on the same grace you speak of for salvation, But it is like you are afraid to let Go, and let God finish his work in you.... Perhaps I am misunderstanding this from our past discussions, But this is the root of the "complacency" in your doctrine, for lack of a better word. Basically You stop at saving grace, and do not allow His grace to bring growth. (2 Peter 3:18)

I Do not say these things to condemn you, nor to belittle you, but to encourage you to look into this, We have had our debates in the past, but at the very least consider what is being said.
God Bless

True, His grace is also His strength and when we believe we cannot overcome sin, He say's "My grace is sufficient for you". Amen!

So, here is the thing about Grace.
Grace is not you trying to be a good Christian.
Grace is God's mercy that Created you to become a Christian.

Quite the assumption to make.

You had the same assumption concerning me. This seems to be your MO on those who don't think that God has left them spiritually incomplete.

We are complete in Christ. Do you not believe that?

Colossians 2:8-10 KJV
8) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Much love!

Do you understand? It's like stubble, with little or no growth.
This idea, that Christ has made us brand new, righteous, that we are forever righteous in Him, forever alive in Him, forgiven of all sin, in Him, it's this knowledge that is the faith that opens the door to His grace, to stand and not fall.

HE brings HIS growth in us as we trust HIM.

We may have many ideas of what we think should happen to us.

We simply need to release ourselves completely into His care without self condemnation so that we aren't interfering in His work.

Much love!

Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Have you ever considered that the act of creation of all things is itself an act of grace on God's part? That to uphold creation through thick and thin is likewise an act of grace?

Much love!
