I have NEVER attacked the Kjv, as see it as being a good translation,

But you indirectly attacked the KJB by praising James Price’s book who does attack the KJB. Mr. Price tries to point out faults or problems in the KJB. Pointing out flaws in the KJB is an attack upon the KJB.

You said:
probably most influential ever made, but NOT a perfect one! Attack the Kjvo position itself!

So where is the perfect Word of God that you can hold in your hands right now? The originals do not exist anymore.

Good question, as there have been 1611.1769. 1873,1900 etc!

The words of the Lord have been purified seven times. The pure Cambridge Edition KJB (circa 1900) is the Word of God for today. 1885 is when publishers removed the Apocrypha. 1900 is a time before Textual Criticism took away God’s words out of people’s hands here in America in the 1970’s with the arrival of the NIV. Before the NIV, many Protestant churches were just KJB. Only liberal churches used Modern bibles (like the RV, ASV) before that point. So Modern bibles have their root in Liberalism. Are you Liberal? For example: Do you believe in aborting babies? Do you believe in an Old Earth? Liberals also are in favor of sodomy, as well. Surely you are not in favor of that, right? I say this because another poster who talked on this thread against KJB Only does believe in all three of those things within Liberalism.

Another reason to believe in the King James Bible:

It has long been recognised to have poetic form and meter.

It has the least number of words per sentence on average, and the least number of syllables per word on average.

Understood many years ago by secular scholars to be the highest form of English prose. The KJV is the high point of the English language. Reading and memorizing this book will certainly have an impact both on your mind and heart.

Finally, it has not changed nor lost any words. Other than the NKJV, all modern translations are some 60,000 to 70,000 words shorter than the KJV, that is almost 10%, strangely however they are wordier in their respective sentence structure. Most of the popular volumes also have “updated” versions, making the verses learnt yesterday obsolete tomorrow (see NIV 84, to NIV, to NIRV, to TNIV as one example. NB: This does not include changes that have occurred in between but not seen large enough to give Title distinctions, these differences reflect the frequent editions of their respective underlying greek text; Nestle - Aland Greek text, which underlies most modern New testaments, is up to its 28th Edition since 1898, last released in 2012, that equates to a major change every four years).

Yes, the KJV is both the easiest and the best translation to memorize.

The effects of Scripture is likened to the work of rain as it nourishes the earth and causes all to bud and prosper, feeding the flock and cattle of the field as well as the vegetation. This is the benefit of both reading and memorizing this magnificent book for yourself.

“ For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10–11.

KJV Only...which one!
How many have you got?

To my knowledge: There are two major KJB bibles that are most widely used today (or the most popular or most influential). It is the Oxford 1769 KJB (with the Apocrypha later removed by publishers in 1885), and the Cambridge Pure King James Edition (circa. 1900). I believe the Cambridge Pure King James Edition (circa 1900) is the current purified Word of God for today. Psalms 12:6-7 speaks about how the words of the Lord are pure words… purified seven times. This corresponds to the different KJB Editions.

The changes between the different KJB Editions is very insignificant, as well.

David Daniels thinks all KJB Editions says the same thing.
You can see the video on that here:

However, the author at Bible Protector responded with a more rational explanation to Daniel’s false assumptions, though.

Side Note:

In my humble opinion, a KJB Edition that does not have a widespread influence upon believers is sort of useless. If it is an obscure KJB Edition that nobody knows about, then it is not any kind of chosen Bible by God with the spreading of His words. For example: Is there a huge following of the 21st KJV? Is there a huge following for the KJV-ER Edition?

Dean Burgeon "attacked" the Kjv by your logic, as he defended the Kjv but also stated that there were many instances where both it and the TR needed to have obvious corrections, hundreds of them in fact!

NO need to have a perfect english translation, as all valid ones clearly give forth to us the essential christian doctrines!

You do accept that they have been some changes in the various Kjv over the years, correct?

It’s Burgon and not Burgeon. I don’t care of all of what John Burgon. said. Burgon is not some patron saint or person I look up to. Burgon only shows that the Modern Bibles are corrupt. That’s it. As for the KJB being perfect, Burgon is not the man to do that (obviously).

The scriptures NEVER referenced any translation to come as being perfect nor inspired!

Jeremiah 36 shows that God is very much interested in making copies if the originals are destroyed. God also did not keep the New Testament writings in the Biblical Hebrew, but He had them written out in the Koine Greek (Which was the world language at that time). This shows God did not remain in the past but He moved with the times. God was also able to translate languages at Pentecost just fine, as well. Psalms 12:6-7 says His words are pure words and they will be preserved forever (and they will not expire in some distant past as you claim). So if we are to be consistent with these truths about God in the Bible, it makes logical sense that God would continue to provide a perfect Word for the world language today via by a copy and not the originals. For do you think the copy Jeremiah made was flawed?

dean Burgon was one of the best textual critics from the perspective iof the Kjvo though, as he was against the 1881 revision, but even he saw that the Kjv was neither perfect not inspired!

Think that God was NOT involved in translation process as He was directly in inspiration by the Holy Spirit!

In regards between the 1611 to the 1900 Cambridge Edition involving the MAJOR KJB Editions: This would be more like purifications and not actual changes. These so called changes (updates or purifications) were very small.

Checking a second hand KJB is PCE before purchasing | www.bibleprotector.com/blog

When you compare this to the changes made between the different NIV editions, or other Modern Bibles it is scary. Thousands of changes are made.

ANY change would invalidate the KJVO position!

Not at all because Psalms 12:6-7 says the words of the Lord are purified seven times (which lines up with the different KJB editions).

It is just like a believer and the Sanctification Process that he/she goes through. They may not mature right away in the faith, but in time they do where their holy walk is perfected. Men’s words are being purified out of God’s words.

But you don’t have a perfect Bible and so then what is your basis for ultimate spiritual truth?
How do determine if you have correct doctrines if you don’t have a perfect Bible?

Think that God was NOT involved in translation process as He was directly in inspiration by the Holy Spirit!

This statement makes no sense. The Holy Spirit is God and all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (including copies). Before 1 Timothy 3:16-17 is 1 Timothy 3:15 whereby Paul says to Timothy that he has known the holy Scriptures since he was a child.

Pop quiz: Was Timothy the keeper of the original manuscripts? That would be silly to say so. Timothy had a copies of the Scriptures and Paul referred to them as the HOLY Scriptures and not words of God corrupted by men (like you believe).

So if an enemy and a friend tells you that Modern bibles are corrupt, that should tell you something.
