Is there any law in the bible: that causes you to love more?

Probably easier to follow laws than it is to love others.

Would agree with Jesus Christ in those scriptures however for sure. Thank you for your comment FHII.

Sure. They all appeared in the ten commands that were in the Old Testament, and that Jesus reiterated in the new.

The ten were all about love. Love for God. Love for one another.

Jesus reiterated them all save for the one about the Sabbath day.
Some claim that's evidence Sabbath no longer applies to Christians. Because Sabbath was made for the Jews. And that instead, Jesus is our Sabbath rest every day, not just one.

But I think they're wrong. Because
Jesus was God. And God made the Sabbath for us. Another blessed gift from his mercies.
Jesus would know he is with us everyday. Because God is omnipresent and sovereign.
He gave us one day so that we could rest assured we could set aside our daily grind and be alone with him.

Why is it? The world knows of us and our faith. We are everywhere.
Why is it there are some who want to work and revoke everything Jesus died to seal in us for eternity?
You're saved? Oh, no, your not really eternally saved. You have to work for it, you have to worry you'll do something that will take it from you.

Oh, you believe in Sabbath rest? Nope, that's for the Jews.

There are people in this world that want us dead because we're Christians .
And there we are tearing ourselves apart in forums like this.
Jesus died to save the world.
Who saves us from one another?

The Law must be to remind us how we have been forgiven of the things we were not able to hold, but by and through trusting and having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; Christ in and through us holds the law of Christ by and through the spirit which you must be talking about @Enoch111. ~ Which the motivation comes from how much God loves us and how we have been forgiven and God changes our hearts, and renews our mind!

Thank you for your post.

While reading your post Amazed@grace, there was only one scripture that came to my mind ; that has to deal with sometimes that seems to just cut the cord of worrying about if someone might belief differently or whatever: Sometimes as human beings people need to just be let to believe how they are going to believe without cutting them down using scripture to say YOU MUST DO THIS OR MUST DO THAT type of mentality and this will allow freedom by the spirit.

Romans 14:5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. He who observes a special day does so to the Lord; he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
Would rather encourage rather than dog-down. ~ Thank you for your post.

I think there is the matter of discernment as well. To know the difference when choosing to correct genuine error, to repeating the same argument over and over and over again , thinking what one is encountering is sincere error when in fact it is sincere trolling .

Some genuine errors are impacting to ones sense of security in Christ .
Like, living under the false teaching that insists eternal salvation is conditional upon the works of the believer.

That's not only error, it's sad.:( Affording no peace in Christ for fear one can do something that will leave them damned all over again.

Unfortunately, there are disciples of the adversary that relish cutting people down and also spreading false teachings.
It's a personal relationship with God. However his sacrifice on the cross wasn't so that we could personally reword the teachings that he sealed on the cross as we prefer to read them.

That isn't the Gospel. That is Sophistry. Sophistry does not save.

:) Be blessed.

Hello friend AG; You are right. Discernment by and through the spirit of Christ ; ~ There are many really non-issues when it comes to those whom are already believer. It is very interesting to know that there are people out there who are willingly to hear some of the bible who know absolutely nothing about it. Also an understanding of the human nature would help a lot in the case of understanding that not all of us are the same; not everyone understands the same as others and it is important to be kind and gentle with others no matter who they are. Either with a lot of knowledge or little knowledge; even if they are unknowing of the truths of God - in which we as believers can present to others but that doesn't mean they will accept them right away, if dealt with wisely conversation should be able to flow : and sometimes humility is actually a must and become lower than the other in the Christian understanding becoming humble under the hand of God.

Understand what you are saying. There some people who may wavier back and forth in doubting in trusting that God has forgiven them, and that God does love them, and Nothing can separate the love of God to them that is revealed in Christ Jesus, and that we are able to walk in the spirit, and that because of the Lord Jesus Christ; the bondage of sin is also broken where we are forgive and continue on towards the freedom of love rather than being in the broken state of sin.

Freedom, not bondage, is paramount in Christianity. The bible tells us we are set free from sin, and we are set free from bondage, and we have liberty in Christ to be free, and live by the spirit, in which there is freedom where the Lord is.

That's not only error, it's sad.:( Affording no peace in Christ for fear one can do something that will leave them damned all over again.

It is very unfortunate and is sad, you are right.

Would agree it is about a personal relationship with God. ~ That was why the Lord Jesus Christ was sent because God knew we all needed a savior because we are not good, and free us from the bondage of our sins that plagued our heart that caused us spiritual blindness and as nonbelievers or not fully understanding; through renewal of the mind and the heart; sets us free of being hateful, mean, greedy, lustful ; though we do still struggle in the flesh but our hearts are becoming new by and through the Holy Spirit/Spirit of Christ with-in us as believers in trusting God and Jesus and reading and having a prayerful relationship with them which produces love in our lives; joy; peace; forgiveness, mercy, patience, kindness, gentleness, forbearance of others.

That isn't the Gospel. That is Sophistry. Sophistry does not save.

:) Be blessed.

You take care; seeing the word Sophistry reminds me of this word: Strong's Greek: 4678. σοφία (sophia) -- skill, wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30)

sophistry (n.)
"specious but fallacious reasoning," mid-14c., from Old French sophistrie (Modern French sophisterie), from Medieval Latin sophistria, from Latin sophista, sophistes (see sophist). "Sophistry applies to reasoning as sophism to a single argument" [Century Dictionary].

sophist (n.)

"one who makes use of fallacious arguments," mid-15c., earlier sophister (late 14c.), from Latin sophista, sophistes, from Greek sophistes "a master of one's craft; a wise or prudent man, one clever in matters of daily life," from sophizesthai "to become wise or learned," from sophos "skilled in a handicraft, cunning in one's craft; clever in matters of everyday life, shrewd; skilled in the sciences, learned; clever; too clever," of unknown origin. Greek sophistes came to mean "one who gives intellectual instruction for pay," and at Athens, contrasted with "philosopher," it became a term of contempt.

There is a law that causes you to Love. It is the love of God who puts it in our heart that we may walk in his love. John wrote if he says he loves God but hates his brother is a liar. The Love of God is not in him. God puts his love in our heart as a gift of the Holy Spirit. You then love as God loves us.

Thank you too this is very helpful and informative.

There is a law that causes you to Love. It is the love of God who puts it in our heart that we may walk in his love. John wrote if he says he loves God but hates his brother is a liar. The Love of God is not in him. God puts his love in our heart as a gift of the Holy Spirit. You then love as God loves us.

Hello Daniel and thank you for sharing.

The law I believe breaks us, rather than causes us to love. It causes us to realize how we as human beings are not good. Because we have not been good since the start. Then when we realize that, and look towards the Lord Jesus Christ, there is found forgiveness, and redemption.

Seen here in Colossians 1: 13 He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

When this happens and we realize how we are forgiven by the Lord Jesus Christ, and learning about the Gospel of Christ and what Jesus Christ teaches, students studying will learn about how as students who are seeking the truth about Gods word are suppose to respond towards others with forgiveness, and mercy, and love because it has been shown to them by and through the Lord Jesus Christ and his actions.

You are right when you say a man who says He loves God yet hates another brother is walking in darkness, and is not of the truth.

You've not followed the conversation.

is not what I said the truth? You say I haven’t followed the conversation but trust was mentioned. I didn’t address you conversation because people who read this post must understand trust is a gift from God and not what we’re taught growing up.

Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

5 And thou shalt love the Lordthy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
