11Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.The classic view of this verse has always been that this beast's two horns represent Islam and the Papacy. Since the first beast is clearly Rome and Rome's authority was given to the Papacy in the western empire and conquered by Islam in the eastern empire. Therefore the second beast who received his power from the first beast is Islam from the east and the Papacy from the west.How do the new views (i.e. futurism and preterism) see this verse?

Jordan is right heres but heres a little more detail it is the New world Order the one world system but it starts out as Mans our NWO/ system and we are close to it now but it receives a deadly Wound to one of its heads/Leaders ..(leading nations) Think U.N. type scernario We dont know what this Wound is it could be finacial failure in the US bringing down the world economys, It could be a nuclear war, or a comet and earthquakes what ever one of these nations will suffer a deadly wound and the world will get bad ... Enter the second beast Antichrist this is thee End of the 5th trump when Satan gets kicked to earth this starts the 6th trump He will be pretending to be christ saying he is here to save us he heals the deadly wound ... And sets up his own One World Political system He will be winning souls influencing people putting a chicken in everypot and the Whole world follows after the beast ..mankind loves him thinking christ has returned ... This is the first half of the tribulation where everyone will be clamoring to take the Mark of the beast .. pledging to believe antichrist is christ in effect selling their soul ....to the fake one the man of sin that son of perdition. God tell us to wait to stay working in the field (world) following the two wittness's until the 7th trump
