Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

what does he mean can you say me it
Jesus was speaking to those of that time and that generation to whom He spoke, saying to them in particular, "You" will see these things come to pass. Which should have been enough to identify just what He meant.

However, having said that, history tells us that they did not actually "see" those things in the way they "expected." Most have believed that Jesus was referring to things of this world, rather than things of the kingdom of God--that is, spiritual things not visible to the natural man. Thus, natural men in the early church interpreted what Jesus said to mean--not "that" generation, but rather that "this" generation in which you see these things occur in the world. Which is the fulfillment of Jesus' parable and warning of "the evil servant" who came to say "my master is delaying his coming."

All of which is also the fulfillment of Peter's prophecy of "false teachers" entering into the church and teaching "destructive doctrines", and what Paul warned of saying that many would "believe a lie" causing "strong delusion" and "great apostacy." Meaning that much of what is believed in the church today is "false."

To the contrary, what Jesus meant was exactly what He said--that all things would be fulfilled before the passing of that ("this") generation, just as it is also stated in the book of Revelation as "the things which must shortly take place"--not 2,000 years later, but "shortly." Which makes these days "as the days of Noah" (as Jesus also said), because many would not believe the warnings and what was occurring that they did not see coming.

Meaning, that all those things did occur and all that remained was the times of the gentiles, that they should come into the world after the fact of the salvation and fulfillment of all the law and the prophets by Christ, just as all who lived before Christ looked forward to His coming and either believed or did not. Which is to say, they looked forward and we look back, but all things were actually accomplished by Christ during His time.

Before any of this took place, Jesus also warned, saying "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." But what they "expected" is instead what many have believed against the words of Christ.

A generation in that time period is consider 40 years. So there was about 40 years worth of time before the downfall of Jerusalem and those who were part of the first church bride were taken away, in 70Ad, when the Lord returned in judgement against Israel for their own decision to kill the Son of God. It was promised the old ways would be passing away in which people now are the temple of God and have direct connection and relation with Him in faith of the Gospel of Christ, by the spirit which God writes on the hearts and mind of man.

That’s what I believe Jesus is talking about.
