PS: I meant: '...joy at being a witness in this way in a dark and hostile world' and not '...in a dark and hostile way' (as first written, above; already corrected).
I figured that out. :)

PS: I guess that Mrs SovereignGrace isn't into ink, either...

(BTW: Great to hear of her recent profession of faith! God bless you guys reading the Word and praying together!)

She actually has three tattoos. I have two, so she has more than me. :)

Oh okay!

Yes, it's become very much a woman thing to do now; to think that years ago it was almost exclusively a man thing. It said someplace that in North America now 55%-70% or more of parlor clients are female.

(Seems like many women particularly like faith based tattoo designs - which have a lot of witness potential.)

I have debated about getting a cross tattoo of some sort of 1689 tattoo that isn't too gaudy. :)

Probably won't do it, though. But I have thought about it.

So would it be your first specifically faith based tattoo?

I guess also with your wife not having been a believer long yet she's probably not had much time to think about more ink, this time faith based.

Yes. I have a barbed wire around my upper right arm with two feathers hanging down. It’s for my Cherokee heritage. I don’t have much Cherokee, but my G-G-Grandmother was supposed to be a full stock(if that’s the right term to use?) Cherokee.

The other tattoo is a dog with a bone in its mouth.

Actually, last year she got two tats the same day. One is ‘faith’ and ‘believe’.

I guess your background gives you quite a heritage of tribal style art which can be expressed in tattoos. Tribal armbands are well liked, often; and I think I've even seen a crown of thorns armband.

Seems more tribal around here. I also see some tattoos remembering a dearly departed family member. I even saw a girl who had her babies EKG’s tatted on her body. My sister is allergic to penicillin and a couple other meds. She wrote them out and had them tatted on her formarm. Pencillin looked real funny. She misspelled it and the tattoo artist didn’t catch it.
