ANYONE who ignores Jesus' instructions to NOW use their PURSE (money), and BAG (... to store possessions -- including FOOD), and SWORD (to protect yourself) is what you call a "doofus". -- Did you think others who are in the same situation as you AREN'T "doofuses"?

You're in a HOST OF COMPANY who think that Jesus (and/or HIS Angels) will MAGICALLY appear and give you the MONEY, PROVISIONS, and PROTECTION you'll need when the time comes.

I think I'm all set, but I'm not cowering in fear over the future. Look around here and you can see how lots of people's imaginations run wild with scenarios about the future. They seem terrified. You can see they can't all be right too. They're afraid of things they're imagining; and many of them seem to imagine they're the clever ones. Now if you can see they're doing that, maybe you can see you are too.

I don't think Bible Prophecy is ~running wild with imaginations~. Perhaps you should start by studying the SOURCE rather than looking at other people. -- And you might include the premise where you won't be able to -- buy or sell --.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

But let your mind keep racing if you want. After this failed prediction, there'll be another one, and then yet another. Some people never stop predicting the end of the world. Keep being afraid of every little thing -- like running out of toilet paper -- are you stocked up?

Look at the ideas expressed too. People are afraid of this and that as being the mark of the beast. People have been imagining this person or that person is the beast for years -- they've all been wrong. None of them had wisdom. Neither do you since you are like them.

Hate to break the news, but GOD Wrote the Scriptures. And the Scriptures warn us of a time when we can't buy or sell. -- And if this circumstance either alarms you or doesn't alarm you, -- it WILL come to pass.

I'm not looking forward to martyrdom, either, but stories like this one --there are more-- give me hope.

The parable for the sower is not quite as black & white as you depict. -- One could say that we create our own "luck", by searching the Scriptures for what GOD has for the church (us) and putting our hand to HIS purpose and plan for our lives. And then there are those who "float" through life as though it were simply a "spiritual" exercise (i.e., Faith -- with or without Scriptural authority).

And that person WILL need "luck" to survive when no man can buy or sell, without succumbing to those trials as Peter failed in the courtyard, -- with the difference that Peter's failure wasn't terminal, but failing to stand for GOD and receiving the mark WILL BE TERMINAL.
