So then, we shouldn't repeat what Paul wrote?

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV)
[sup]9 [/sup]Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, [sup]10 [/sup]nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

As long as you choose to be in agreement with satan thats fine.

A man with AIDS has a life expectancy of just 39 years.

Outreach to people in the homosexual community can not only save their eternal soul, but literally save their lives.

In a world where the Gov't can be involved in Smoking laws and dietary requirements for schools, all justified by looking after the greater health good of all, why are people so silent on this topic?

And no, I am not calling for the government to become involved in this AT ALL.
Your reasoning is at best questionable. They maybe physically live for that little longer, but will most definitely will be emotionally destroyed. Destroying a person's emotional state is just as good as killing them. A lot of people would rather be dead than fixatedly unhappy. 39 years of happiness is better than 82 years of unhapiness . No point of living the life if you dont experience the life.Personally I woud rather die sooner than later. There is nothing bad about life which is shorter than the average. Any life no matter how long it lasts can be a good life.

As for aids? It sounds like you dont know what youre writing about. Or are you just simply disregarding the whole African continent?
As for those Christians, what are they doing? It makes no sense to me. Why do they want to base our religion on hostile threats? If a person follows christianity because they fear they just might burn, then they are not true a believer. They could be muslim! True believers believe by will, not instictive fear. How can they possibly follow and love our Father if all he is to them is a figure of malice?

Actually it is Satan who fights against what God said.

Do you believe God is the Author of this statement? :

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV)
[sup]9 [/sup]Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, [sup]10 [/sup]nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God folks. Stop defending this sin.

1 Corinthians 6:9 (NASB)

[sup]9 [/sup]Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,

1 Corinthians 6:9 (NIV)
[sup]9 [/sup]Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

1 Corinthians 6:9 (NKJV)
[sup]9 [/sup]Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

1 Corinthians 6:9 (NLT)
[sup]9 [/sup]Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,

1 Corinthians 6:9 (TLB)
[sup]9 [/sup]Don’t you know that those doing such things have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshipers, adulterers or homosexuals—will have no share in his Kingdom.

1 Corinthians 6:9 (ESV)
[sup]9 [/sup]Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

1 Corinthians 6:9 (AMP)
[sup]9 [/sup]Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality,

I hope no one minds me adding my two cents.

I have found this topic under much discussion on forums everywhere. I know many issues have been raised but would only like to add two points.

1. The bible in the OT condemns to death, adulterers, homosexuals and misbehaved children.

It is not the severity of the sin which is singled out. Homosexuality is not deemed a far worse sin when in comparison to a misbehaved Child or adulterer/
The penalty was still death. The punishment is all that has changed to date. We would have to put these people to death if following the letter of the law in the OT.

2. Homosexuals should not be singled out for punishment of treated any differently to an adulterer or misbehaved Child.

Christ, when he forgave the woman caught committing adultery. He showed that we as believers have not right to judge or condemn and single people.

Sometimes... it is better not to judge but to acknowledge sin and love. We have more chance of getting it right.

Faithful :)

That is absolutely true. The fact is that Christians are being falsely accused many times for even mentioning that homosexuality is sin. I must assume that it is mainly homosexuals or homosexual sympathizers who are doing the false accusing.

I guess arguing with Jesus is always fun.

After He told the woman, Neither do I condemn thee"

Joh 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

So again whos side are you on

Dont worry I aint posting no more, if you cant get it by now you never will.

In His Love

I must add, no one is dfending the practice, we are simply pointing out that you have no right to judge them.

You conveniently left out the part where Jesus said, "go and sin no more".

John 8:11 (NKJV)
[sup]11 [/sup]She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
I must add, no one is dfending the practice
How is it that you speak for everybody?
, we are simply pointing out that you have no right to judge them.
And I am pointing out that your accusation is false.

-- There are so many things wrong with your words I literally don't know where to begin.

My first point is that you must have a very limited understanding of what God is able to do in a person's life to say these things.

You seem to think that if a homosexual repents and gives his life over to Jesus, at best he will be suffering and unhappy for the rest of his life.

Do you really have that little understanding or confidence in what Jesus can do in a person's life? Apparently so, and that is very sad.

There is an organization in WA State called Metanoia Ministries that has scores of former homosexuals who are now healed, married, have children and are living the life that God had intended for them.

Their emotional states are not "destroyed" and many of them are knowing happiness and peace for the very first time.

You also COMPLETELY IGNORE the part about living "a happier shorter life" but then SPENDING ALL ETERNITY IN HELL.

As for aids? It sounds like you dont know what youre writing about. Or are you just simply disregarding the whole African continent?

-- Are you so unaware of your surroundings to not understand that the topic I was speaking about is homosexual men.

What exactly does the life expectancy of a homosexual man in the U.S. have to do with the AIDs ravaged nations in Africa?

A gay man in San Franciso isn't likely to have AIDS because he caught it on a trip to africa. Please try to focus.

As for those Christians, what are they doing? It makes no sense to me. Why do they want to base our religion on hostile threats?

-- Of course it makes no sense to you.

You are obviously confused because you obviously have never participated in witnessing to the lost. Sharing with love to a homosexual (or anyone else) involves doing it out of love, explaining that you too were a sinner but turned away and repented, you were just as doomed due to your sin as they are, and that Jesus loves them as much as he loves you, wants you to know happiness and eternal salvation and it is yours for the taking.

This ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ is not "basing our religion on hostile threats." How can you not know this?

I was saved because someone witnessed to me, let me know we are ALL sinners, but we do not have to live in sin. He let me know that Jesus loved me as much has He loved that man and all I have to do is give my life to him and I become a child of His.

Tell me, does what he said sound like "hostile threats?"

If a person follows christianity because they fear they just might burn, then they are not true a believer. They could be muslim! True believers believe by will, not instictive fear. How can they possibly follow and love our Father if all he is to them is a figure of malice?

-- Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
If you truly turn to God and seek Him, you will not live in fear. You will realize you are loved and that He has great plans for you - no matter who you are - if you will but follow him.

Your argument that someone is going to live their life as a Christian out of complete fear and nothing else, and it would remain the sole basis is very narrow and shows a total lack of understanding on your part.

This sort of argument makes me dizzy.

It goes round and round and comes out nowhere.
Those that adhere to some sort of moral standard are generally perceived to be contentious monsters while those that want to perpetually indulge their lusts are the persecuted heros.

The same sort of arguments are used to justify atheism.

Round and round it goes.....excuse me I think I'm going to hurl.

I belong to the camp of the Lord. Was Jesus judging the woman caught in adultery? Go and sin no more? I believe she had just received a new life not condemnation.
Whilst it is very commendable to point out this account of Jesus dealing with this woman, it is totally insufficient to make a case. Truth is dependent on the whole counsel of God and the whole truth of scripture. I am so glad that I was taught in Bible College that you do not form a doctrine with one verse of scripture. Quote the woman at the well by all means, but you need to add to that everything else said by Jesus and Paul and others about the subject.

Heres my post you did notice the Romans verse?

Romans 8:1-3

Seeing you dug this from page 15, void of who posted it, and in reply to what? I'm glad I know the story behind it. Its me replying to foreigner. About his attempt to pigeon hole me into a camp in this thread. The intent of the statement I made is completely lost in your post. You now look at it with no back ground, the very subject of your post is exactly what you have done. Taken a statement out of context of the conversation.

I'm not going to inject the post here in this post in sequence to make my point.
But you can read several post before the statement and then read down to it. I used it as an example of not judging.

I agree truth is the whole counsel of God, you went to bible collage, so you tell me in the NT who did Jesus condemn? "Judge"? Its clear it wasn't this woman.
And when Jesus said "nether do I condemn thee" John 8:10-11.... is that not the grace of God? Tell me Mr Bible Collage what say you?

Bud, Jesus DID judge the woman. Be telling her to "go and sin no more" he was pointing out that what she was engaged in sin in the first place.

She was forgiven completely by Jesus. If there was no sin, why would there be need for Him to forgive?

But if she went back to that sin and didn't turn away from it she would have been condemned for all time.

None of us know her ultimate destiny because we don't know if she took His direction or not.

You are correct about the woman, though, she was given new life.

Her sin was pointed out, she was told to go and sin no more, and as long as she kept Christ's command, she is now in heaven.

In peter it says that no sin is greater than the other, and that if you steal or do any other sin then you are a murderer, the way i see it, is the same lust that had me lieing, cursing and stealing has led them into the captivity of the devil through homosexuality.. so as it says, if you steal your a murderer, your also as bad as any homosexual person.. your not suppose to judge anything at all. Jesus is the judge he said (john 5:22). Leave it to him, they are sheep gone astray just as you were.. He who said thou shalt not lay with mankind, also said tho shalt not judge. So seeing that there is no sin greater than another, if you judge your commiting the same sin as the homosexual person.

Why does it seem that those who accuse others of 'judging' also seem to be defending living a sinful life?

The word of God is not a debate, it is a mirror, a mirror to examine yourself. No one looks in a mirror to look at others, but only to examine themselves.

Since the Holy Spirit came down on those people in Acts 2, Christians have gone out preaching the Gospel.

The Gospel preaches God's love and sacrifice. But it also means pointing out to those who do not know or feel that their lifestyle is a sin that God wishes them to turn away from their choices.

I became a Christian because someone spoke with me from the heart, said that they were a sinner but God forgave them, let me know that I too am a sinner but that God loves me RIGHT NOW just as much as that person and will forgive me, too, if I but turn away from my sin and accept Him.

If he had not helped me understand what specific sin I had in my life, I would not have understood that even though I love a woman, God isn't going to smile upon the relationship if we are living together without marraige.

If it hadn't been shared with me I would have continued to love God and love her until I realized that God was not getting any closer to me and I rejected Him, or I died in my sin.

It is not just a cliche' to say that if you saw someone heading for a cliff you would stop them and point out to them the danger of what they are doing. Is doing that..........judging them?

The premise that sharing with someone and helping them understand that what the Bible (Read: GOD) says about what they are doing is "judging" them is absolutely FALSE.

Mark 16:15 calls us to 'preach' the Gospel to all nations. If you only point out the upside and not the individual responsibilities and downside of not following Christ's edicts, you can give a false sense of who God is and do more harm than good.

Sure pointing out their wrong but, bashing them? or talking bad or slanderously?
That would be wrong, obviously. But simply quoting God's Word will often bring false accusations of judging. I.E.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV)
