I entered into God's sabbath rest due to Christ's complete, 100% atonement for my sins. It is this atonement that has bought us the right to receive sanctification. This is a work that results from faith. Faith that causes works is more than feeding the hungry, though that is also part of it. Peace.

Ephesians 1
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
To take each word for exactly what it says . . .
We are accepted in the beloved, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins . . .
Accepted in Him, not in our good behavior, having redemption, forgiveness, in Him, not in us.
Much love!

Yes.

vs 6. """ MADE US Accepted".
God Made us = accepted.
Its all of God doing it..= "MADE US".
We are saved by GRACE, ...through faith.
No works involved.
Salvation is a GIFT.

“ Following” sounds difficult.....thank God we get Saved by “Resting”. Resting in Paul’s Gospel Of Pure Grace, Plus NOTHING......

That is so very true.

There is onE WORK that God accepts.
Its not ours.
Its His own....God on the Cross....."the finished WORK of Jesus"..
This is the only WORK that God will accept on our behalf.
He did it for us..

Sometimes what you say is right on the money (such as at present).

Other times, it can be a doozy of a false doctrine.

I once went to a 5 day retreat where at the end, the Pastor said to me, "In 5 days, God has matured you 5 years." (I know I'm talking about myself, but my motive is to increase faith). One of the most important things I learned, and there were many, was that Christians have something to do regarding their sanctification. Not to earn any of your salvation or standing with God. I used to think that thinking satan could do actual hard to a believer was a lack of faith. I was wrong. If Peter said to his listeners that they were receiving the goal of their faith, the salvation of their souls, how can this be, if one was fully sanctified at conversion? Shalom.

Really? I thought we were all works in progress. Peace.
You will find out soon enough that *Behold* regards himself as a guru*. Best to ignore him since he has been promoting false doctrine all along. But he wants to be regarded as a reverential figure.

* "In Sanskrit, guru means the one who dispels the darkness and takes towards light, traditionally a reverential figure to the student..."

He needs to die to self, aka, the daily cross. Just like me. Shalom.

Our Justification is finished, thanx to God on the Cross.
Our Discipleship is perfected when we understand how to Believe Right and we exist there.
We can agree to disagree, without being disagreeable.

Let me ask you 2 questions.
Is there anything you can do that will cause God to accept you, that Christ hasn't done for you on the Cross?

See, the Legalist, the self saver, the "fallen from Grace" will say...."well Jesus started my salvation, but for me to go to heaven, i have to finish it".

The Born Again, who understands Grace, the Grace of God, understands that God Himself has Died on the Cross to both offer salvation and finish it for all who come to Christ and are born again.

So, of those 2 Choices, which one are you?

Tell me, do you ever get attacked by Satan? If so, do you fight back? If so, why? I thought it was all a one-time thing and we never had to lift a finger. I used to think that any Christian who thought that the devil could hurt them, was in unbelief. Then the devil took advantage of a more opportune time, and tricked me into believing something that turned out false. Except for God's intervention, I would've died. I'm serious. I found out 20 years ago that it is not the enemy without that will usually get you, it's the enemy within that will. Look at the state of America. - What Jesus did on the cross on our behalf, pays for our redemption 100%. Spirit, soul and body. Any effort to add to it is actually unbelief, and since it takes faith to please God, I choose the latter. I reached a point some years ago when I realized that not only was my striving to please God and earn His love and acceptance unproductive, I was to stop it and instead trust God and enter into His sabbath rest, loved and accepted by my Heavenly Father. So I can rest from my works (not works that come through faith). Regarding my salvation, I have peace. Jesus is the author and finisher of our salvation. Jesus saves, not man saves himself. Not even an atom.
Mercy - I didn't get what I deserved, whew!
Grace - I got what I didn't deserve, thank You, Jesus.
As far as the assurance of my eternal destination goes, God and I worked this out years ago. The ongoing sanctification has nothing to do with justification except that sanctification is made possible by being justified in God's court of law. I am innocent of breaking God's holy laws, period. - First and foremost, I am a spirit being. The soul and the body came along later. It's all about healing. Nearly 2 years ago, God told me that He had just finished circumcising my heart. Though I soon realized that the old man was not done away with quite yet. What a drag! Oh well. This is so He can move through me unhindered by my soul and also make me more sensitive to Him. He moved through me twice so I could see the difference myself. Once before the circumcision, it was a struggle to let go and sit down in myself so Jesus could take over, and once after, when He moved through me with no resistance from me. It's made a huge difference. What I'm talking about here is how God is making me an effective spiritual warrior. The word says that the new is come and that the old is gone. We are, before we were ever anything else, spirit. The new and old is talking about the spirit. I die in Christ and I'm resurrected in Christ. But not all at once. It is no longer I that live, but Christ that lives in me. And the life I now live, I live by faith in the Son of Man, who gave Himself for me. Look it up. The daily cross is a sin at a time. This process will bring about healing but if it happened all at once, we'd explode. So it's piece by piece. This is plenty hard enough. If you want to avoid suffering, then this is not for you. Jesus said that unless you 1-deny self, 2-take up your cross daily, you cannot follow Him. "for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:9, "where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God." Acts 14:22 New Living Translation Peace.

Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith.

Which is not to say that the work that He does in us is limited to justification.

For my sanctification to be real, I must be responsive...I mustn't resist the working of the Holy Ghost within me as He pinpoints sins in my life. When He does, the proper response identified by Him is that I confess my sins...this is walking in the light as He is in the light...and if I do this, His blood continually cleanseth me from all sin / unrighteousness (1 John 1:7-9).

Listen Ron,

SALVATION, is a one time thing.
You are born again ONE TIME...
God's Gift of Righteousness is given, ONCE< and it remains, forever. The born again are always righteous, always forgiven, always redeemed, and always kept at peace with God by the same Blood that God accepted to accept them.

Following Salvation, we now exist IN the Kingdom of God, yet we are living in the material world.
In THIS world we have to stand and resist and overcome, but not by willpower.
But by using the spiritual weapons that we always have, once we are born again.
Christian fail to live Holy, because they don't understand what they have become, where they exist in the Spirit, or how to function in this "new creation" existence.
I teach you how.
Over 50 Threads ive written that will help any believer stop being a mind blinded sinning and repenting and confessing failure.

For my sanctification to be real,

You have no personal sanctification.
If you had any, you would not have a "indwelling sin issue".
So, its tiring to hear a pretender like you pretend to be what you are not....
The only sanctification you have, came from Jesus, who Is our Sanctification.
You of yourself , have none.
Stop trying to save yourself.
You failed.
Trust Christ instead.

SALVATION, is a one time thing.
You are born again ONE TIME...
Consider what it says here...

2Co 6:1, We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2Co 6:2, (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Realize that Paul did not only write this as a verse for an evangelist to use in a message to try to coerce a man to be saved as the result of his particular invitation.

This scripture tells us that now is the time of salvation....if I read this today, tomorrow, fifty years from now...the "now" of that moment is the time of salvation.

The time of salvation is always "now".

I believe that if you think on what this means, you may understand what it means to abide.

Love in Christ,

@justbyfaith.
