Please do not give up on the Democratic Party... without the Democrats there would be no Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, a minimum wage, child labor laws, or a living wage. If you really want to overturn Roe v. Wade (approved by Republican Nixon & upheld by Ford & Reagan) it will be the Democratic Party to do it...
Please support President Jimmy Carter by signing the petition below which calls for the Democratic Party to accept Pro Life Democrats back into the Party. It will be submitted by Carter to the DNC Chair. A little under half of all Democrats are Pro Life and it is time that we are recognized...

Christians should vote for a political party which makes at least some concessions to their Christian values. The Democrats make no such concessions. They support war and abortion. Issues like Medicaid are not more important.

Do not vote for either the Democrats or the Republicans until they make significant concessions, and do not give money to any church whose leaders do not make similar demands of those in power or seeking power.

Our battle is against dark powers and not people. Jimmy Carter is right when he says Jesus would not support pro-choice abortion, but what sort of party called democrat excludes people with pro-life views? What is the definition of democrat?

Why are democrats so concerned about other people's wealth and how to take it from them ? once again you prove that to you it's all about socialism, hand outs and entitlements....that is not what made America great from an economic perspective....rightousness expressed as hard work and responsability along with other aspects of rightousness is what made America great. The welfare state will bankrupt it financially as well as morally and is indeed doing just that......you must be pleased.....what specific scripture can you offer that supports your concern with anyone's wealth and how it is used other than your own ? strange is it not that if i comment on someone else's lifestyle and habits with the slightest hint that they should accept the consequences due i am judging them....but people like you feel free to pass judgement on others because of the money they have.

The successful buisness man who lives in a nice neighborhood and has worked his whole life to build a buisness from nothing that employs people and contributes to society is evil and /or unchristian but the man or woman who has never worked or produced anything other than children they don't take care...abuses alcohol and/or drugs, commits crime ect ect,all of which is sin is some kind of folk hero to you that God will judge by some different standard...sin is sin Aspen..whether committed by the rich or poor.

The rich man was probably thing the same thing about Jesus when he walked away from Him. Of course Jesus told him to sell all that He had - Democrats just want rich people to pay a fair percentage of taxes. BTW, there is such a thing as rich democrats and they are still advocating for a fair tax rate.

It's funny - whenever republicans are accused of sheltering the rich, they defend it by producing an image of the poor, small business owner who worked his way from nothing to a comfortable living after 60 years of working his fingers to the bone......Rich bankers, cooperations, and CEOs are never brought up at all...hmm

Finally, what is the percentage of posts that you have devoted to bemoaning how hard it is to be rich and fleeced in America? 80%? 50%? Most of my posts do not concern politics or wealth and poverty.

What matters it is not the political parties but that of the morals and values God created. As God goes by His values and morals of a person, not their political parties. Or wealth for that matter.

You are not Jesus...and its hilarious that you would compare yourself to him...a "fair" tax rate ? how about one for those who pay no taxes at all apart fronm the their beer and cigarettes....your post concern nothing but wealth...it is the sum total of your position and the lens through which you see everything...for you society doesn't have a sin problem...it has wealth redistribution problem...the only sins are those who just won't hand it over.I have ask again and again fro scriptural support and you offer none.

I see,so if i give a person my vote who supports abortion and other forms of wickedness God understands because i have to vote for somebody....the bible says that those who support evil are as guilty as those they support.

aspen2,
I would agree with you about the rich and exploitation but there is a balance.
The rich man was probably thing the same thing about Jesus when he walked away from Him. Of course Jesus told him to sell all that He had -
But Jesus didnt tell Zachaeus to sell everything he had, and credited the Kingdom having come to Zachaeus when he responded by giving away half his possessions and settling his unfair accounts. So why was the rich man told to sell all his possessions? It seems that his wealth was a barrier to the Kingdom, he valued his wealth more than Jesus.
I do think the world and especially the west is gripped by greed and exploitation, but a general dissing of everyone who is rich isn't quite right. Some like Mother Theresa gave up all their possessions to help the poor, but some also contributed money to help her.

The other thing of course is, if people are advocating the killing of unborn children by choice, then I cant see that people starving is any worse.
To me both are horrific.

Aspen seems to be preoccupied with stuff and money,he rejects any notion that the holiness and rightousness of Jesus should be legislated in any way or forced on people in any way...but that the charity of Jesus as he understands it should be....go figure.

You know, it's funny....you have tried your hardest to cut me down, discredit me, and dismiss me - AND you are still threatened by me - lol - how small you must see yourself to be....

You need God - only experiencing His love will heal your self esteem. I am praying for you.

Another typical liberal response..cursory accusations on the fly...back it up liberal..i have plenty of evidence to back up my claims about you.

Your prejudice and blindness proves nothing about me - it is merely a window into your own hate-filled soul, friend. Unfortunately, you have decided to view Christianity through the lenses of your Conservative politics - the proof is in your posts. My posts speak for themselves - your attempt to define them without bothering to read them is pathetic and puts your weak character on display for all to see.

Oh please, don't be such a little drama queen....christianity is neither liberal or conservative...it is rightousness and holiness, this does not concern modern liberals or conservatives.

I couldn't care less what you think of me...all i ask is biblical support for your position since you say you are a christian...uh,excuse me....Catholic....one of the richest organizations the world has ever known.I seem to remember you saying that having too much money was bad for the soul....is that why the Catholic Church is such a mess...too much money....now i remember who you remind me of,the SNL character Father Guido Sarducci
