wadr you posit a scenario in which your sect is somehow immune from the same ravages the RCC is subject to, the only diff i see being that you will not confess! Can you recall any other Establishment Leaders confessing sins so openly, Pm? My point is that Jesus was criticized for criticizing false religious systems which lead souls to eternal ruin. So, given that we have a clear NT directive to warn people of the same, is not opposition to Jesus' example and the NT directive a violation of Scripture?

1) A "sect" is a splinter group which arises out of a previously existing group holding beliefs that oppose said previous group.
2) For 300+ years since its inception, Protestantism taught without exception that the papacy is the Antichrist of prophecy.
3) Today, non-catholics (I hesitate to call them "Protestants" for they are no longer protesting) oppose that previous doctrine.

You have demonstrated long time ago that this is not about warning anyone--which you'll note Christ did when confronted with sinful behaviors, in the moment--and that you started with a kernel of truth has been admitted, prolly by pretty much everyone. Yes, we are aware that satan corrupts the institutions of men, yet we are still advised to respect human institutions. Warning ppl occurs when a subject comes up and a warning becomes pertinent; you are on a crusade, as a glance at your thread list will verify.

I think Jesus summed that up pretty well when He said that we were still going to have to remain in the world for now, but that we didn't have to be a part of it. So it comes as no surprise to us.

You see, the world today is witnessing the tail end of the longest, greatest and most successful PR campaigns in secular human history...(the counter-reformation) it has been progressing since the 16th century, and of recent times has evolved into a global political election campaign which prophecy informs us will be just as successful, albeit short lived, as its predecessor. Phoneman is simply fulfilling the role of a senate investigation (which will never happen unfortunately) to bring to the public square any and all reasons why the public should accept the nomination of the Pope, whichever one may be in power at the time, as president of the world. God clearly disagrees with the nomination, and promises to destroy his party...its surprising so many believe such disclosures on the part of some should be silenced.

Well, a more accurate comment might have been that "far more Child Molesters exist in our own neighborhoods than we may ever suspect".... and many times that propensity toward the crime of molestation doesn't manifest until the proper situation and circumstances present themselves. Why? Because, for one, all of us are capable of almost ANYTHING. (We just abhor admitting it.) And, secondly, most molestations are not committed by Pedophiles. No, they really aren't. That dubious distinction belongs to otherwise "normal" people.
