Isa 53:5-6
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
NKJV

Rom 3:23-26
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

NOTE: God covered the sins of those who believed in Him but they could not be saved until Jesus paid for their sins with His own blood.

26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
NKJV

Rom 5:8-9
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
NKJV

Eph 1:6-8
6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
NKJV

Col 1:13-14
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
NKJV

Excellent post...as usual.

Even better if it was in the AKJV :D

...NOTE: God covered the sins of those who believed in Him but they could not be saved until Jesus paid for their sins with His own blood...
I am concerned with this "note". It may be nothing, and just a choice of words, but perhaps I can ask you to clarify the statement for me?

Was Enoch, Elijah and Moses "saved" (I am asking according to the definition you are saying in your note)?

Not looking to be devisive, just looking for clarification (as I said, it may be just word choice).

(My own sidenote, if I may make a brief comment upon the NKJV (not to derail thread), but it has some serious issues, even notably in Hebrews 9:12, and in many other places, and I just caution in its use in certain places. If you are interested, perhaps another thread may be started.)

Finally, since Jesus paid for the sins of the world upon the Cross, through His shed blood, may I ask you, if you know at what time Jesus blots out those sins, rather than just having the sins covered by the blood?

THINK, until Jesus PAID FOR OUR SINS on the cross no sins were Paid for, they were only covered.

Col 1:26-27
26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, """""but now""" has been revealed to His saints.
27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I accept God's word (KJB), but I am trying to understand your "note". Enoch, Moses and Elijah, all entered Heaven before the event of the Cross, yes? They were "saved", yes and had glorified bodies already, yes (Luke 9:31)? I am simply asking for clarification from you about your note.

Scripture says:

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What do you make of the following verse (in the light of Genesis 3:15, 4:1):

Genesis 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

My additional question, was: "... since Jesus paid for the sins of the world upon the Cross, through His shed blood, may I ask you, if you know at what time Jesus blots out those sins, rather than just having the sins covered by the blood?"

Thank you for your consideration and reply.

Our sins will be forgiven because they are dealt with by Jesus on the cross.
Jesus’ death on the cross is what makes forgiveness possible!
That is the way, and there is no other.
God won’t forgive anyone apart from Jesus and his cross.

At what time you ask.

Here:

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

NOTE: God covered the sins of those who believed in Him but they could not be saved until Jesus paid for their sins with His own blood.
There is a misunderstanding here. The OT saints were justified by grace through faith (therefore SAVED), and Abraham is given to us as an example of how God deemed them righteous (with imputed righteousness) even BEFORE Christ shed His blood of our redemption.

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness... And therefore it [his faith] was imputed to him for righteousness.(Rom 4:3,22)

At the same time the shed blood of sacrificial animals only "covered" sins until the Lamb of God was crucified, and His blood was applied to their souls. Then they received the gift of the Holy Spirit only after the resurrection of Christ, and are therefore called "the spirits of just men made perfect" (Heb 12:23).

I think the key word is "redeemed." Jesus Christ's blood on the cross was a complete payment for our sins.

Sacrificial animals were like the down payment until Jesus came. :)

There is much confusion about this...and that is that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

It is...for God so loved the world...not just the church or believers.

The blood of Christ is not the sacrifice of Christ only...but His life since He was also resurrected. So then as we take on His life we are drinking His blood (the life is in the blood) so we are justified by faith by entering into His LIFE.

We are then justified by His resurrection life...into the righteousness of God.

So then Jesus died for all men ...not just believers ...but was raised for OUR justification (them that believe into Him).

Rom. 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

The blood of Jesus is the life of Jesus. His blood flows through us when we enter into Him and abide in Him.

Amen. We are redeemed by His death...but justified by His resurrection...as we enter into His eternal kind of life by the Spirit.

Rom. 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
