Some brethren apparently have a problem with what Apostle Paul taught about the Israel in part that God blinded, per Romans 11.

Paul taught the blindness away from The Gospel which God put upon his brethren the Jews, would not be removed until the "fulness of the Gentiles be come in". That blindness, Paul called "the spirit of slumber" (also the idea of 'a stupor' or 'lethargy' per the Greek).

Rom 11:7-11
7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
9 And David saith, "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:
10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway."
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
KJV

Apostle Paul goes on to tell us, Christ's Church, that we are not to be wise in our own conceits, because God has not forgotten those Jews He blinded away from The Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are still His elect chosen according to Apostle Paul...

Rom 11:25-34
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

That means, when that "fulness of the Gentiles be come in" happens, that is when God is going to remove their spiritual blindness away from The Gospel. Then they shall believe on our Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, "There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."

Apostle Paul is pulling from the Old Testament prophets where God promised to save His chosen 'seed' of Israel. Those Scriptures are about God Himself doing that. Even in Isaiah 65 God said He in final will make Jerusalem a rejoicing and her people "a joy". Just like Lord Jesus divinely intervened with Saul on the road to Damascus, per Acts 9, and Paul was converted to Jesus, The Lord Jesus is able to convert these unbelieving Jews to Him on that day also. Those who think He can't do that in the future show they don't know the Power of The LORD. One who is a 'chosen' elect He already owned from the foundation of the world. And such are His elect chosen of the seed of Israel.

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

And there it is, what I just explained, that God's chosen elect He will not go back on His promises to them. That's what "the gifts and calling of God are without repentance" means.

Thus for this present world, the unbelieving Jews are enemies of The Gospel for 'our sakes'. How's that? Because of their rejecting Jesus, The Gospel would then be sent to us the Gentiles.

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all.

As in times past, when we Gentiles were without Christ Jesus and God's promises, we were not under His mercy. But now, through the unbelieving Jew's rejection of The Gospel, we Gentiles have obtained God's Mercy by Faith on Jesus Christ.

That 32nd verse suggests that God is going to eventually have mercy upon them too, the unbelieving Jews that He blinded. When? When that "fulness of the Gentiles be come in." That will be when our Lord Jesus Christ returns, and then their blindness will be removed, and they will hear The Gospel with eyes to see, and ears to hear, and believe.

¶ 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His counsellor?
KJV

Paul then points out how this mystery of the Jew's spiritual blindness being for the purpose of His Mercy eventually being upon all, is a matter of The LORD's Own Wisdom.

Romans 11:26-27, And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
The quotation Paul uses is from; Isaiah 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob

When the Bible says that all Israel shall be saved, in Romans 11:26-27, it refers to only a remnant of the Jewish people and all true Christians, who are now the Israelites of God.

The message to the individual is that he or she must “turn from transgression” to the Lord. There will be a remnant that will turn to him. All of them will be saved. He speaks of the saved remnant as the nation Israel.

Are the Jews still God's people? Yes, but only those who are both ethnic and spiritual Jews. Romans 2:29
Saved Gentiles have also been grafted into the tree and are now co-heirs of the promises of God to Israel. Galatians 3:26-29, Galatians 6:13-16 The apostle Paul was a remnant Jew...

Romans 11:1, I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Paul was an ethnic Israelite. Paul says that it's all by God's grace... Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Romans 9:27

In other words, by grace through faith, plus or minus nothing, in the Lord Jesus Christ. Only through faith in Jesus can anyone be a child of God. Confirmed by:

Galatians 3:26-29, For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then are you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Clearly, Galatians 3:26-29 states that unsaved Jews cannot be Abraham's spiritual seed, nor are they heirs of the promises of God made to Israel in the Bible. The Bible is very plain on this subject that only born-again Christian believers of any ethnicity are heirs of the promises of God. True, righteous Christians from every race, nation and language are God's people; the Israelites of God.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile in Christ. So we can divide all humanity into one or other of these two groups:

1/ Every godless unbeliever including the non-Christian Jews and

2/ All Christian believers, Jews and Gentiles.; people from every race, nation and language. Isaiah 66:18b, Revelation 5:9-10

God never blesses wicked evildoers. When the Jews rejected Jesus, God gave them into the hands of their enemies, as in 70 AD. Then, for continuing in their disbelief; the many pogroms and the Holocaust. Now they face the third swing of the Sword, Ezekiel 21:1-16

Romans 11:1-2 and 19-23, I say then, Has God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away his people which he foreknew…..You may say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and we Christians stand by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, blessing, so keep your faith: otherwise you also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they change their ways, shall be grafted back in: for God is able to graft them in again.

This Scripture plainly teaches that ONLY Jews who believe the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will be grafted back into the tree as God's people. Jeremiah 12:14-16 proves this.

God cut off Judah in 586 BC for their continuous and stiffnecked rebellion against His Word, even killing the prophets.

God still loves His people, His true people who obey Him, and any Jew can be grafted back into the tree, but all Christ-rejecting Jews are NOT GOD'S PEOPLE. The Parable of the Vineyard shows how the ethnic Jewish people have lost their status. Matthew 21:33-46, Luke 19:27

Less than .025% of the Jews living in Israel today profess to be a Christian. Only a fool thinks that God loves the apostate, atheistic, gay pride, Christ rejecting Jews. These types are NOT God's people.

So only the saved Jews are part of God's people, but most are saved Gentiles. Only believers in Jesus Christ can claim to be heirs of the promises of God originally given to Israel, but now applicable to every faithful Christian.

Galatians 3:29 proclaims this truth...And if you be Christ's, then are you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Romans 8:16-17

So God is not powerful enough to be able to 'turn'... His chosen to receive The Gospel?? That's basically what your ideas are about, limiting God's Power to save while Apostle Paul in Romans 11 did not do that when quoting from the prophets.

Just as Apostle Paul was once an enemy of Christ, Lord Jesus turned him on the road to Damascus, and Paul would write the majority of New Testament Books. That was not by Paul's own choice that Jesus did that. That was because Jesus said Paul was His "chosen vessel". That means Saul (Paul later called) was a chosen elect that Jesus already owned, thus Jesus could do that and not interfere with Paul's choice to believe, or not believe. Paul is the greatest example in The Bible of a chosen sent one. So are Christ's Apostles that Christ commanded to follow Him.

Likewise at Christ's coming, He is able to convert the unbelieving Jews since He is Who put their spiritual blindness away from The Gospel upon them.

And we must also remember that not all... those who claim to be Jews, are actually of the seed of Israel. So the Isaiah 59:20 can actually be pointing to those fake Jews who do not turn from transgression, but instead are the "tares" of Matthew 13 that will go into the future lake of fire.

Hello

The fulness of the Gentiles will occur when the nations of the earth are gather together, to be judged by a king, in the sight of Jerusalem in the valley of decision, and imprisoned in the Bottomless pit. It is after this that God will gather all of Israel to Himself and plant them in Christ's fertile field and will teach them on the religion of Christ being the Son of God where Israel is still scattered through out the whole earth.

We have already seen the signs and wonders that have heralding this event happening for those who have eyes to see.

Well who exactly is all Israel?

Paul said this shortly before he said “all Israel will be saved”

Romans 9:6
It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.

What you and many fail to see; is the virtual demise of Jewish Israel. Over 20 plainly stated prophesies tell how the Lord will send fire, Amos 2:4-5, and of the House of Judah, only a remnant will survive. Isaiah 6:11-13, Romans 9:27

This truth of Bible prophecy, blows apart any ideas of a general Jewish redemption. The main tenet of the 'rapture theory'; disproven.

Hello,

Perhaps some have forgotten what is contained in the Abrahamic Covenant first recorded in Genesis 12:1-4 and how Abraham responded in Faith Believing the word of God: -

Genesis 12:1-4: - 12:1 Now the Lord had said[1] to Abram:[2]

"Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father's house,
To a
land/an earth that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in/through you all the families of/from the earth/ground/land
[3] shall be blessed."
4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
particularly the first two lines of verse three.

Are people, in this thread, "Blessing" or "Cursing" the seed of Abraham. I would rather be know for Blessing Israel rather that Cursing Israel, the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob.

This is food for serious thought by us all.

Shalom
________________________________

[1] The Lord called Abram while he was in Ur (see Gen 15:7; Acts 7:2); but the sequence here makes it look like it was after the family left to migrate to Canaan (11:31-32). Genesis records the call of Abram at this place in the narrative because it is the formal beginning of the account of Abram. The record of Terah was brought to its end before the narative of Abraham begins.

[2] The call of Abram begins with an imperative לֶךְ־ לְךָ֛ (lekh-l®kha, "go out") followed by three cohortatives (v. 2 a) indicating purpose or consequence ("that I may" or "then I will"). If Abram leaves, then God will do these three things. The second imperative (v. 2 b, literally "and be a blessing") is subordinated to the preceding cohortatives and indicates God's ultimate purpose in calling and blessing Abram. On the syntactical structure of vv. 1-2 see R. B. Chisholm, "Evidence from Genesis," A Case for Premillennialism, 37. For a similar sequence of volitive forms see Gen 45:18.

It would be hard to overestimate the value of this call and this divine plan for the theology of the Bible. Here begins God's plan to bring redemption to the world. The promises to Abram will be turned into a covenant in Gen 15 and 22 (here it is a call with conditional promises) and will then lead through the Bible to the work of the Messiah.

[3] The Hebrew Root of הָאֲדָמָֽה, H:0127, has the meaning of soil, and is akin to a fertile field/face of the land/world.

Genesis 2:7: –– 7 And the Lord God formed {the entity of} man {out} of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in/through you all the families of/from the earth/ground/land

All promises and covenants to Abraham have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ

Galatians 3:16KJV
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

All promises and covenants to Abraham have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ

Galatians 3:16KJV
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Not all covenantal promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, which is known as the Abrahamic Covenant, have been fulfilled yet. Not all of the covenantal promises were focused towards the coming of Christ as you suggest. Perhaps this portion of Genesis 28:13-15, a part of the Abrahamic Covenant, will help you to understand this.

Genesis 28:13-15: - 13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: "I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land/earth {i.e. God’s kingdom on earth} on/in which you lie/rest, I will give to you and your descendants. 14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth/in my fertile field shall be blessed. 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go/will protect you in all things, and will bring you back to this land/My fertile field; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you."
My paraphrase of the Hebrew text.

God has not yet fulfilled all of this portion of the Abrahamic Covenant, however, my understanding is that it is a near future event.

God has not yet gathered Israel to Himself and planted them in the Fertile Field of Israel as told to us in Ezekiel's prophetical writings.

Perhaps you need to go back and study what is actually written in the scriptures, particularly the portion of the Abrahamic Covenant found in Genesis 12:1-3.

Shalom

All of Israel will be saved, yes. because truly born again people are Israel in fact, as Israel means Servants of God !

The Kingdom of God was set when Jesus went to Heaven sending the Holy Spirit for us.

It's got nothing to do with people claiming to be Jews, as that nonsense was finished 2000 years ago and we have moved forward from that.

The people claiming to be Jews today have nothing to do with the OT, apart from the OT we still have that as our blueprint. but the so called Jews of today are not worthy of God in fact at all. They are truly a sad Joke. if they could only live up to the OT I would respect that at least. some do hold such in high regard but that's not many.
I suppose it's just like Christianity is nowadays a Joke that's being corrupted by the dogs of this world. they are Wolfs in fact.

I can’t believe I’m going here again but you do post interesting topics. The first thing I was told several years ago about Jesus Christ is how He liberates those held captive. I’m not Jew and I’m not male, so this to me sounded like a fictional big old fib. Because God’s elect…His chosen ..are the Jews Which I am not. Because God’s elect…His chosen… is man …which again I am not. Even “brethren”implies a what, if not a brotherhood. so yea I’m asking or was always asking …HOW is Jesus Christ liberation to ‘all in all’ held captive? There is a point of question here… Your OP speaks of part of the Jews were blinded until the fullness of the gentiles come in. Your OP post (unless I’ve misunderstood) is how this is so in the receiving of the gentiles into the body and then this blindness will be lifted, taken away? One question is how can the gentiles be received of the Jews while blindness remains? Wouldn’t they refuse the receiving of the gentiles because of being blinded? As in, he who is blind does not receive the things of God, nor can he, because to him, they, (the things which belong to God) are foolishness?

What of man chosen of God; where the woman was excluded? I ask because in the world today it is clearly understood the election of man as head of households, regardless of whether they follow Christ or not. In God designed(has chosen) it to be this way. As Not all Jews but some were blinded until the gentiles come in. Could also be, not all, but some men have been blinded for the receiving of the woman into the body as well? But then again, how can the woman be received of the Man while blindness remains? Wouldn’t the man refuse (exclude) the receiving of the woman because of being blinded? As in, he who is blind does not receive the things of God, nor can he, because to him, they, (the things which belong to God) are foolishness?

As also with the free and bond, where God goes to both the freeborn and bond alike? If the Jews were partly blinded for the reconciling of the world unto Him in ‘the fullness of the gentiles’ coming into “one body” where there is neither Jew nor gentile. Is it the same in the receiving that which was excluded as ‘not chosen’ in the bond and female, that God may have mercy; rest upon ALL? Consider that the power of God may rest upon me…Paul said of being weak. Is beginning to sound beneficial to God in He “Rest” as “He rested in the sabbath day”? Another question is if God is not finished with the Jews who were blinded, is He finished with man which is chosen in His image as well?

Colossians 3:10-11 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: [11] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Galatians 3:27-28 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Shalom

Galatians 3:27-28 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Perhaps, the literal meaning of Romans 11:25b is best to understand what Paul has written. He was not suggesting that Israel will not be save when all the Gentiles who repent and come into the Church has been completed, what Paul has written is that when the fullness with respect to time of the Gentiles, i.e. the 2,300 years of trampling God's Sanctuary and His earthly hosts, the Jews, has run its full course, i.e. when the full 2,300 years prophecy is completed, only then will all of Israel be saved. The trampling of God's Sanctuary and His earthly hosts began around the year 250 BC and the trampling of God's Kingdom and His Earthly Hosts, has continued right up and until this present time, and as John in Revelation tells us that the Kings of the world will be gathered at Armageddon in our near future to be judged by God/Jesus for trampling God's Sanctuary and His earthly hosts.

The other prophecy that is drawing to its conclusion at the same time as the gathering of the Gentile kings at Armageddon is the end of the visitation of the fathers iniquities, that occurred during the first two ages of Israel's continual idolatrous worship, will be upon the father's children and the children's children during the third and the fourth (age) of Israel's existence and that will also draw to an end at the end of this present age. (Exodus 20:4-6)

Now in Isaiah 24:21-22 we are told that the heavenly hosts, i.e. Satan and the rebelling angels with him, will be judged at the same time as the kings of the earth will be judged, for trampling God's sanctuary and His earthly Hosts, at Armageddon, and together they will be imprisoned in the pit, i.e. the bottomless pit, for many days to await the time of their punishment in the Lake of Fire, which is the second death.

In Luke 19:11-27, Jesus told the people around Him the Parable of the Minas in response to the discussion going on among the people around Him of their expectation that the Kingdom of God's coming was an eminent expectation on their part and that they expect that Jesus would bring this about. However in this parable, Jesus plainly tells the audience around Him that they are the servants of Satan, and that they will not stop being Satan's servants until Satan goes away to a voluminous chasm with the claim that he will return as a king to rule over them, but at that time, they will send a delegation after Satan to revoke their desire to continue being ruled over by Satan. He also informed them that Satan's Good and faithful servants will oppress all the peoples of the world to inhibit the establishment of God's Everlasting Kingdom on the earth at that time.

Sadly, Satan also has Good and Faithful Servants within the Church today, and they too will lead astray many with their oppression, and when Satan return, they will be given more responsibility over much and will be told to join Satan in his joy. This is the parable of the Talents found in Matthew 25:14-30.

In Daniel 2:31-35, we are told that during the time of the fifth dominion over the Land of Babylon by many kings, that during the time of these kings that God will cause a rock untouched by human hands to come down from heaven to become the dominate religion of the whole earth. Also at this time we are told that God will establish His Everlasting Kingdom on the earth. It is at this time that all of Israel will be Saved, to become a Kingdom of priests, a Holy Nation and God's Possession among the Gentiles.

Perhaps we need God's prophets for today to rise up to correctly inform all of God's Saints the truth of the matters before us.

Shalom

Perhaps, before you reply to what is a complex subject, it would be best to meditate for serval hours on the post before riding rough shod over God's words. Perhaps you need to consider the source context of the Scriptures and not the fallible translations that you rely on.

If one only just follows their own family Tree, it's obvious that race has nothing to do with such at all.

If I go and look at my dads dad and his wife I can see X,Y and Z in my dad, but then I have to look at my mums side then it comes down to me and then I can look to all my first cousins on my dads side and then them on my mums side, now that's 5 different identity's involved right their who are mums or dads that are coming from other stock that we are looking at. and that's only my first cousins I am talking about.
The I can look to my Children and all their children, let alone all my first cousins and their children and their children.
You want to go further lest go back 5 generations before me that are Australians or lets go back before that ? or lets say 2000 years ago ! Come on really ? some people need to get a grip on reality.
It's not about who you think you are, it's about Jesus Christ end of Story, ether one is lost or you are found.
I can talk to all my first cousins and ask are you born again, I know ones who are not and out of them all, their is only 2 who are born again.
Am I impressed, no not at all.

But…if you ARE correct in how you see scripture unfolding here… doesn’t that just mean that a possible interpretation of Rom 11 is that those Jews who survive THAT will be ‘grafted back in’…and in THAT way, ‘all’ Israel will be saved? After all…at that stage, and in a ‘national’ sense, they WILL be ‘all’ Israel.
Just a thought.
