There are soooo many would-be Christians who believe a line of scripture that cannot be reconciled with the rest of scripture by their interpretation. The result here on Christianity Board (although it is everywhere in the church and epidemic), is nearly endless arguing and defense using one scripture against another--as if God does not agree with Himself or needs to be corrected...for whatever reason. And the reasons are beyond counting: That it was what you were taught, or what has been taught for a thousand years or more, that your understanding is the only way to understand things even if there are other scriptures that don't seem to agree, etc., etc..

But one scripture against another is not the problem. In fact, it is only wrong if the two scriptures cannot be reconciled. Again, it goes on nearly endlessly. One person states what they believe only stating part of what is written, many of whom do so in the form of teaching and preaching, as if they have a God-given gift to do so without reconciling all scripture--again, for whatever reason. Such an assertion of partial scriptural truth is then met with another of equal partial scriptural truth...and it goes on and on and on. It is so popular and such a problem that when anyone comes along with the actual truth that can be reconciled with all scripture--the wolves of partial scriptural truth have been howling so much partial truth that "all truth" is not received...as if part was equal to the whole.

And you who cannot also reconcile what you are pushing, are not qualified to say either way. You too should rather expect to be corrected.

So--reconcile, or be silent.

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth
.

PS,

If you would like to be "making straight the way of the Lord", you can...by not participating in the partial scripture practices that are more like Satan's use of scripture than we ought to be doing. Reconcile all scripture and checking ourselves first with the test of reconciliation is making straight the way for God's word to go forth, rather than what only sounds like God's word.

We can all participate.

These times have been appointed by Christ, that we should be "lead unto all truth." To the contrary (much like Satan would do), it is of little service to propagate ANYTHING that cannot be reconciled with all scripture. There was a time when it was understandable to speculate and to give what appeared to be good direction from an educated mind as one well studied. But just as every stone will be overturned--these are those times when every false teaching will also be overturned. Don't be caught spreading age old speculations--examine what you are teaching or sharing. It was not always a test--but now is.

A good example of this even within the same verse is...

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom. 6:23

People are conditioned to read this as an either or...rather than an all-inclusive statement. This is akin to being married "for better or for worse" as a multiple choice.

I watch a lot of the evils of this world in trials, from start to finish.

Some ppl NEVER get past the pre-trial hearing motions and these can become quite lengthy BEFORE the trial begins.

This is where many are stunted in disciple-ship growth. True, it is not either or but it is many IF'S !
( conditions)

It is our right as God's children to rightly divide the word in context. It is our right to have all the Word to make our journey according to his word. Some however are gagging their counsel in grieving and resisting the Spirit of God, not accepting he knows the will of God in our lives.

Accepted denominations trust the commandment book of God is correct and to our benefit. Even THOUGH some have spot lighted certain aspects as their defense. Baptism, church, the gifts of the Spirit, grace ect., this does not annul the Word of God in its completeness for the BELIEVER; unless we make these our ONLY DEFENSE!

Those among Christendom recognized as cultic in practice by adhering to their almighty prophets have FOOLS for lawyers, and are condemned already and blind!

it's always someone else isn't it!. It's in the language used, eg, some people, many people, atheists, hindus, moslems, catholics, protestants......it goes on and on. Oddly, it's never us! :).....we must have it all together ...all the time.....so we dish out advice ....by the truck load.

"Us" is assumed.

But I submit that the "truck load" (that greater part) rests with those who do not see and do not hear and kill the prophets sent to them...for, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few." Matthew 9:37
