There are 400,000 convicted sex offenders in the US.......how many of these people are Catholic, phony? How many are priests? How many are Protestant? The majority are either actively Protestant or grew up in a Protestant home.

Actually, I think the last count of RSO's was quite a bit over a million in the US...…. just to keep things honest.

First, I agree that each one of us is capable of being killers, adulterers, any kind of sinner you can imagine, including sexual deviants. Of all shapes, sizes, and leanings. Which is why the problem cannot be solved by more 'positive avenues of learning'. That is nonsense. If the sin problem could have been solved by education, then Jesus would have opened universities and schools. The only solution to the sin problem, and that includes sexual deviancy, is Calvary.

What is the first reaction of a Toddler when he/she wants a toy another child has... or if they are upset with another child? First, they take (steal) the toy... and usually they will hit the kid they disagree with over the head with it.

Do we teach them right from wrong, and sharing? (A "positive avenue of learning") Or do we drag them off to the church and get them wet?

Even when they seem to be showing improper sexual tendencies (and what child doesn't?) do we work with them, and instill certain moralities in them, or do we read Bible verses at them to straighten them out?

According to conservative estimates 46% of USA citizens are Protestant (active church attenders) 80% call themselves Christian (non-catholic). 15% call themselves active (devout) Catholic - 25% call themselves Catholic.

When my eldest daughter was 11 ( 1972) the same thing happened at her school. Many of us couldn't stand the new headmaster.
Mandator sex education had just started.
This headmaster was always walking up and down in the swim time..
I got involved when my daughter told me that they ( mixed class) were not allowed to change before lining up to put their swim ware through the wringer, or carry towels.

Yikes!!!

They now had to line up in rows naked, with the boys ( 10 and 11 year olds )

She broke out in a rash with worry about swim days.
This headmaster used to walk up and down the lines..."drying the backs" of some of the girls.
Like you...when she come home crying I ran down to the school.

Awe... that's terrible for children.

His secretary told me he was in his study and not taking visitors .
Two hours later I screamed at her and told her to tell him to come out and talk to me..or climb out of the window, because I was not going away.

Ooh. 2 hours....more patience than me!

Finally he came out.
Yes, I went for him. I also told him I was lodging a formal complaint with the school board, plus starting a petition to get rid of him.

Why I made copies of the letters was in case the Principal brushed me off again, I was going to the school board next.

There is a vast difference between teaching your own children the difference between right and wrong and having the holy Spirit as an ally in your teaching... And what you a re advocating in teaching adult confirmed habitual child abusers" positive learning strategies".
Children who are growing and discovering life, can be guided into right thinking and by the grace of God remain therein. Adults who already have deliberately shunned all social restraints, and offend against the innocent, deserve to die, and in fact, death is truly the only cure. If not spiritual death in Christ and subsequent complete conversion, and followed by a disciplined life under guidance from elders and/or mentors who are aware of his/her propensities, then physical death is the only alternative. Again, no where does the Bible suggest that education or learning is the answer to the sin problem.
Even the children you raise and teach at home must still die.

I can say that it doesn't work in all marriages.

If I waited for Dave to always 'say sorry', I could never forgive him for his unjust and un-called for occasions.

I forgive 'for me' much of the time...not always for him.
I even say sorry even when I believe the breakdown was not on my side but his.
I cannot afford any unforgiveness in my life with anyone...it eats like a sickness...

We are taught so much...but when I think back to the day I because a believer , the last thing on my mind was that I needed to repent...I saw the wonder of Who He was...it wasn't until later that I was aware of how dark I was...
