To mortify the deeds of the body through the Spirit, you shall live".

This does not mean, if you resist sin, you shall not burn in hell.

Look at this verse....>"if we live after the flesh, you shall die"..

Reader....Ive got news for you.. You are going to die anyway..
WE are born to die....... a whole lot of people died today...And tomorrow, and had they not lived after the flesh, they'd all be just as dead.
Why? Because it is "appointed unto man once to Die"..
Thats you, and that is us all.

So, what does it mean to be "rendered dead"....Well, you can't do that, you can only be born again.
Its Christ on the Cross, who became your sin, is why the old man is rendered dead.

So, what is the disconnect, in the understanding that many are struggling with.....

Its this.

WE the born again, are a NEW creation. So, we can't be anything else, including the "old man".
But we can behave like the old man, while being a new Creation.
Behaving LIKE< is not the same as BEING the same thing.

The disconnect is, to not understand who you are become, "In Christ" and are trying to exist as what you are no longer, that does not exist.

Most Christians are trying to exist as what they are no longer, = yet.....they are no longer the old man, as he is dead.

Paul tells us to reckon him dead, not "render", as "render" is a bad translation found in some bibles...., as this gives the impression of trying to keep a madman in the closet, locked up.
But see, our old man is not us anymore, he is DEAD, "crucified with Christ."
Paul tells you to reckon him dead, because he is....already.
To reckon him dead, is to understand he IS DEAD........it does not mean he is alive and we are trying to kill him.

So.... all that is left of him, is old sin habits, that are called "sin consciousness"..
And what this is reader, ...its like a hard drive that has been erased.
It has impressions on it.
Its like if you take a pencil and write on a paper tablet......then tear off that top page.
The page under it, has impressions, but its not the real writing.
Well, your soul realm, your MIND< has those carnal impressions that are left after the old man was crucified with Christ.
And when you "renew" your mind, you can get rid of those impressions, as well.

To renew your mind is to only and always see yourself as God sees you.

Always "made Righteous".. "The Righteousness OF GOD....IN Christ".

"born again".
