Well for me, a lot of people just need to chill out, I agree with @"ByGrace" about Praise, Worship & definitely prayer as being a personal thing, because that moment is between you and God, it's Jesus's great relationship with you, it's your great friendship with Jesus.

There's more than enough noise in the world as it is.

Where in the bible is praise and whorship a secret? and I see every one who comes and says this totally ignore the testimony word that I used eash time. TEsitmonys where are they why is the threa almost empty??

mjrhealth Yes Gods love for us runs so deep we dont even know it. He talks about the pearl of great worth. Your the pearl. we think its just us to run after Him. He runs after us. He gave His best for us because we are worth the price He paid in blood.

I've been on this journey for over 40 years and I've seen and experienced things that would blow your mind. But I would never share those experiences on this site. On another site maybe, but not this one.

The title of this thread, " This section shows how much you love God", sets a wrong tone from the very start. As if I or another believer are in competition as to who loves God more. Or, I can prove I love God more because I do certain things. Seems very shallow.

A certain truth was pointed out to me years ago that I have not forgot. Note these verses.

(John 13:23) "Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved."
(John 20:2) "Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved,..."
(John 21:7) "Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter,..."
(John 21:20) "Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved..."

What was valuable to John was that Jesus loved him. Not how much he loved Jesus. But because John knew the love of Jesus Christ, then he had a real love for Jesus Christ. Peter said he would die for Christ. But, where was he when Christ was crucified. John said Jesus loves me. And where was he when Christ was crucified.

(John 19:26) "When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!"

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

The Example of Luke 7:37-47, the verse 47
"Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."

We should always let God be the judge, instead of statistics/facts/figures of men.

First I would have to ask, who appointed you judge over "almost the whole christian world"?

We are commissioned to spread the Gospel, not sit in judgement over our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Worship and praise are firstly a private thing...I personally don't even like seeing couples groping or slobbering over each other in public. Love -making is a private thing. But, we have already covered this ground.

YES , we would all agree that the corporate "worship and praise " in a group setting, can be very wonderful ...(when the Holy Spirit is allowed to lead, and not man)...but, that never, never, never can take the place of our intimacy being with God our beloved. As our souls to drink in the fragrance of His presence , worship and praise is our response to Him. In my life, that is what worship and praise are, a response of my soul Godward.
So your inference that this bunch here are less than committed Christians, just because we don't happen to, or choose to post something in the Praise section shows ( to you) our lack of spirituality ,or being the acid test of our love for God!!!!..... that is according to your 'measuring rod', which seems quite arrogant to me....as if you are saying- "I am spiritual and you are not"
*I still see that as you judging the spiritual condition of the rest of us on this site! Only GOD can see the hearts...you cannot.
It says-

I too hesitate sharing my testimony...Like you mind blowing stuff. But from experience it's been mostly unbelievers I have been able to reach through that, not people in various hand picked religions they follow, because some of it, is at odds with them all in some form or other, and it's not my place to tell them anything, so I pray to The Lord, and leave it all in His hands. Some have actually said to me ( Christians ) :" What makes you so special that you get to see and hear Him."......That's the thing, absolutely NOTHING, there is nothing special about me, I wasn't even a believer until He completely blew my mind, for showing up ! Jeez Louise, that was the LAST thing I would have or even could have expected or even imagined. Sure didn't know He could do that. Maybe ( this is purely my own thoughts ) it was because I was empty to begin with, I didn't have many preconceived ideas about Him or God or churches or anything at all really, nothing like that was practiced in my family, and was actually a forbidden subject whenever family got together, they would always remind everyone with the first toast at dinners " No talking about money, politics or religion." I really have no idea, He just did, and I for one am exceedingly grateful and always will be to Him.. would love to hear yours someday, somehow......Blessings Pia

Truly I tell you, they already have their reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I don't know how you spend your time with God, but for me personally, when I pray and spend time with God, I give my praises and worship to God in my prayers also and I usually do it in the peace and quiet of my room, it relaxes me and rests me, I don't need a Hollywood scene going on, I don't need a loudspeaker or megaphone, don't need a front stage, and I don't need to hear the noise, hustle and bustle of this busy world when I'm spending time with God.

And I agree with you @Stranger , our relationship with God is not a competition between other believers. Preach it brother! This could be your next Country song in Texas

But this isn't a publicity stunt, testimonies are great to share, but that's not a competition either to see who can get the most testimonies, testimonies belong to God, no matter how small or how big whether if it's what God has done in your life, my life or anyone else's life, I'm sure many on this forum have many great testimonies, but you don't need to go forcing others to post testimonies, testimonies should be used for giving God the glory and not for gaining attention for self. If no one replies to a testimony on here, that's not a bad thing, whether if someone replies or not, it's thanksgiving and praising God for what he has done in your life and others lives and that's a great thing. In times we may be feeling low and we can look back & see all the good that God has done in our life to lift us up again.

You might say we should be sharing more testimonies in front of a public audience for the sake of others, but you realize, not everyone is an evangelist on this forum, not everyone is a public speaker, and you can laugh at that & point out others people's fears and weaknesses, but we got to learn to respect one and another, not every Christian is an evangelist, there are teachers, prophets, intercessors, prayer warriors, musicians, artists, there are even the quiet Christians who lay hands on the sick and they get healed without blasting a horn and all of this is meant to work together in unity.

Just because someone may be quiet, it doesn't mean they don't have any testimonies, and it doesn't mean they are weak, but many of them are humble, there are a number of quiet Christians out there that are very strong in Christ that you may or may not be aware of.

And I'm sorry to say this, but this itself is looking like a debate thread, I hope this reply does not ignite any lightning storms, sorry if I offended you in anyway.

In the Inbox I wrote to you, this is what I was meaning.
You may well have intended a good thing when you started this thread. I'm sure you did.
But you are still sounding angry...and frustrated.
Now if YOU had written your OP in a different tone, saying something like-

"I would really enjoy hearing from you all.... hearing of your life with God and the thing God has shown you , and things you are thankful for, lets have some praise posts...."
Maybe we would have responded much differently.
But in your OP post, (however much you try to deny it) was sadly only showing you pointing the finger at us and saying- " Well this shows just how unspiritual you lot on this site are." No encouragement, just criticism.
That kind of brow beating does never provoke any good or trusting response from people.
Putting other people down, does nothing but elevate ourself, and I am sure that was not your intent.
We miserable unspiritual lot, actually do know and recognize the voice of the Master....but sadly we did not hear it in the OP post, or in subsequent posts.
We are all 'on the same side'...we do all pray for the advance of God's kingdom here on earth.
