Not his first, that was the first time we had met, but I should be seeing him every Friday night
Sounds like you may have a really good ongoing contact there!

Oh so it wasn't his first ink, then. I guess I would have been more surprised if a Grim Reaper design had indeed been his first ink.

I guess depending on what his first ink was of - and at what age he got it - you would then have a somewhat fuller impression of what his ideas might have been.

@charity FYI, this is a new poll as I was informed by someone that an older poll had expired; so I guess the age aspect of first ink acquisition might be relevant to what you told us about your daughter's ink past ink preferences and plans?

Hello dear-man, :)

You do love your tattoo thread, don't you? I think you must be a tattoo artist!! ;)
Though the art is highly skilled in many cases, I just wish it was portrayed on canvas rather than skin.

Thanks for your comment; the current poll was really just focusing on the age of first ink acquisition aspect.

I know that in the past you've commented about tattoo regret.

Some ppl would relate this aspect to the matter of the age at which ink is first acquired (if this makes sense?)

Thank-you anyway for your comment.

@Waiting on him PS: So did he tell you what his first ink represented, and whether it was gotten soon after 18?

At around 18 it so often seems to be a compelling thing to do, anyway.
Sorry for the delayed response, just came off night shift. We didn’t have much time to discuss it we were trying to get the robots up and running

I guess that his fresh ink was particularly noticeable so that it soon became a topic of conversation, right?

It kind of proves that tattoos do indeed work as conversation-starters, whatever purpose the wearer chooses to use them for, right?

Absolutely, I believe I’ve heard it stated that 90% of all conversation is expressive, or something like that.

Interesting statement; I never quite thought of it that way.

The 90% number is anyway intriguing when it comes to the idea of young Christians making the calculation that, proportionate to their willingness to receive ink inflow in Bible/faith based designs, witness conversations are likely to ensure. 90% is a big percentage which might make many otherwise hesitant Christian young men and women eager to do it, and soon. (Make sense?)

@FHII FYI...new poll...(I was informed an older one had expired).
Sorry, but it really doesn't interest me. I have a tattoo, I am not ashamed of it, but it has no bearing on my salvation.

Christians can have tattoos, but it is merely marks on the flesh. At best, it tells a story of who we are. But it's is not what we are.

My tat and the flesh it's on ain't going to heaven. I will defend any Christian who has a tat or wants one. I also agree that it makes a statement of freedom in Christ. Other than that, I really don't see the need to continuously discuss the issue.

It's just not my thing to do so...
